Property Ratings at Marina's Edge
The apartments are infested with roaches and everything is falling apart and breaking from being cheaply "upgrade". I could never recommend this place to anyone.
Overall, I’ve had no issues with this apartment. There’s always groundskeepers out maintaining and keeping the property clean! The leasing office staff is friendly. Any maintenance request I’ve sent in was promptly addressed and resolved. Neighbors are quiet and there’s so many shops and other things to do very close by! Highly recommend.

Good and bad. Maintenance is slow and there’s no emergency maintenance, management takes their time solving problems. Have had several unexplained power outages and issues with water and trash. Management can be unprofessional but is much better than the old management who were completely terrible. Decent value for the area.
So we live in the apartment 512 h we have the problem with the toilet sinces July we talk already 3 times and they haven't done anything I'm very upset about the maintenance cuz the rent is not that cheap and when u have a problem they don't do anything
The management are totally disrespectful ignore your request for repairs, they don’t answer the phone or return calls. I would look somewhere else

I have been without water and a working restroom for two days. This is not the first time this has happened either. The front office refuses to call me back after leaving multiple messages. The disrespect and lack of care for residents is disgusting. The administration's only saving Grace is their maintenance guy. Don't bother responding to this if you are simply going to ask me to stop by the office. Last time I did only minor issues were fixed while everything else was ignored. Either call me and make things right or don't waste my time. *Update* all of the bathrooms in this apartment complex have a really bad mold issue due to the lack of good ventilation or a good fan. Instead of valuing the maintenance requests of residents or fixing the issue management included a new clause in the lease making the residents responsible for the mold and damage therein. Also, unless you would like to play babysitter with basic upkeep that management are responsible for (basic wear and tear caused by living and poor "upgrades" falling apart or never being finished by the companies they hire) I do not suggest living here. Update number three: apparently the apartment complex put a tow sticker on my vehicle at some point in the past 24 hours without notifying me despite having my contact information. I am uncertain what spurred this action as there are literally numerous cars that are illegally parked in the complex due to the management allowing multiple families to live in single apartments making parking almost impossible. If your choice is between this complex and another I suggest you take your buisness elsewhere. Nothing but problems for the years I have been unfortunate enough to live here. Update number four: come to find out that the apartment complex hired a tow company that is more or less predatory in it's practices. No one complained about my vehicle or tagged it with a sticker to be moved. I was not in a fire lane or handicap zone, the tow company just decided to tow my vehicle and hand me a bill for the impound. No word from management yet regarding reparation. Update number five: the apartment complex allowed the us postal service to change out our mailboxes without notifying a single resident or distributing the keys for said mailboxes. Now we are all forced to waste our own time handling the matter.
To keep it short, the administration is terrible and has no regard for its residents, and the apartments are overpriced for the cost and are comprised overwhelmingly of shoddy repairs/"updates". The only thing they care about is keeping you in a lease and extracting as much money out of you as possible while ignoring maintenance requests.
Quite frankly, I have been at Marina’s Edge a few times and the staff there are just so respectful and welcoming people, I have so much appreciation for their positive attitude towards me and towards other customers, it has been my pleasure to search for an apartment at this place, and I would definitely recommend others to rent at Marina’s Edge. One more thing, Wendy was the greatest woman me and my wife have met, she is so helpful and compassionate person.
Been here two years. Been through multiple lazy, unprofessional management teams but this one is the worst, uncaring, uncooperative, unprofessional group yet. They know there is a housing shortage in Reno-sparks and are taking full advantage with price gouging and terrible attitude toward residents. This group will be gone like all the rest so they better enjoy before they have to go back to the real world where they'll be held to some sort of standard. Don't let the name change and lipstick on a pig fool you, this is the same dump it's been for a long time.
The marina is a mile away and cannot be seen from the apartment complex. The unit shown is the front office, however that is not what the apartments look like. The apartment I received is half the size of the one shown. Management is unresponsive when a work order is entered and you have to fix the problem if you can. The landscaping is dried grass that is not watered. Within the first two weeks I woke up to earwigs crawling from the drains in the kitchen and bathroom, the toilet backed up, and the water was shut off and I was not given any notice. These are just a few problems that ocurred. I have three pages of problems with the unit that was supposed to be remodeled from fixtures falling, chips in the counter top, electrical outlets not being attached to the wall and just laying with the wires exposed, an air conditioner that does not work to name a few.
the heaters only work sometimes. the property managers will claim to be fixing the heaters for a prolonged period of time and will yell at tenants when they ask for an update. in the past i have gone over a month without heat in the apartment and everyday when i call the property manager says it should be working ill send someone over; obviously nothing was done for a long time. the heater went out before christmas, and it still does not work. they suggest we use space heaters. i am currently running three in the living room, its still cold, and the electrical box sounds like it is about to explode. i brought this to the property manager's attention and they did not seem to care about the safety hazard. its no wonder one of the units already burned down. and the firefighters were just here today, who knows why. when i moved in there was sticky stuff in the shower like paint or something. i told the property manager several times, but nobody ever showed up to even look at it. after a few months i had to apply several treatments of floor stripper to remove the gunk and take a decent shower. the faucets leak. the bathroom plumbing has an awful smell. there is mold in the apartment that was addressed by maintenance, but they never returned to remove it. the smoke and carbon detectors are not up to code. the air conditioner is worthless in the summer. there's holes in the cabinets that maintenance also never returned to fix. and they have the nerve to raise the rent when the contract is renewed. i do not recommend renting here!
I asked for months to have mu apartment sprayed for roaches it finally got done today. My a/c unit has been full of water and not working for 2 weeks still no tepairs done.they promised for last 6 months to pressure wash our breeze way because our neighbor pees on himself and sits out there and it stinks still nothing. My window was broke through out entire winter they barely fixed it 2 months ago. They dont like giving you a copy of you repair request because they can pretend they never got it. They say they post notices on your door but i found mine downstairs in the grass no tape on it not staple nothing great way to pist notices. Manager said she tresspassed a young man i know cause he is his brothers twin and she cant tell them apart.and she said that to me!
