Property Ratings at Marine Club
Single women beware! Have had both maintenance and STRANGERS walk in while I'm sleeping. Often told by management they emailed first. Management (ED) has no problem blatantly lying to suit his needs. There are rampant leaks that maintenance seems to chase around the building, resulting in many mold issues, black mold on ceilings is a given. Don't fall for the pretty pictures they use to advertise. There are huge issues with this building and management does not care. If you like mold, rodents, roaches and your privacy invaded without notice, rent here. If not, RUN to the next available place and get a safe place. The only saving grace is the friendly front desk personnel. But even they are told to lie for management, so beware. No straight answers to be found when you have an issue that needs dealt with.
Gross outdoor area covered in dog poop, maintenance never comes by, everything in gym is totally broken, someone from front desk walked into my apartment unannounced yesterday, saying they thought it was a vacant unit, but later the same day told my dog walker they didn't have a spare key to my apartment, even though I checked and told them ahead of time to expect the dog walker. Leaving after 6 months.
Let's start with the positives: the front desk workers are friendly, the dog park/courtyard area is beautiful, and the appliances are updated. Onto the negatives: My unit was advertised as a "one bedroom" but the bedroom doesn't have a window or outside exit. I was naive and signed the lease, it wasn't until later that I was informed it was a building violation. Turns out most of the one bedrooms in this building have a windowless bedroom, spooky stuff. Mice: many of the units have them. Crime: My bike got stolen 2 weeks after moving in. Other residents are having similar issues. Mold: Several of the units appear to have black mold, and it doesn't seem like maintenance is allowed to do much. I recently found a mushroom in my wall, wonder how long it'll take them to do something about it.
Moving into a unit was already rough. The cleanliness was a joke. Old water stains weren’t at all old when they started to grow, black mold was soon to follow. I recommend moving to a more kept condominium to actually enjoy the location location, location.
Poorly managed building, everything in the gym provided is broken. Outside area for dogs rarely cleaned. Do not recommend to anyone!
As the location of the Marine Club is convenient, staff is friendly, and surrounding businesses are booming, the Marine Club presents itself in some regards. However, internally, it's rather poorly managed. Management within the building is sub-standard. Their package tracking system is a sheet of paper managed by the front desk, and they often don't notify residents of package receipt. On my birthday, I didn't even know my sister sent me a wonderful surprise gift, because she couldn't tell me and the management up front did not. Additionally, a number of the amenities they promote are not functioning. Much of the gym equipment doesn't turn on properly. The spa has never been filled or functioning in my time as a resident. There are so many new complexes coming up in the Broad and Washington area. Watching these shining new establishments with comprehensive amenities spring up as I have had to whether the remainder of my lease at the Marine Club has been frustrating.
This location cannot get any better! close to the Italian market meets Avenue of the arts and a doorman building with parking ?!?!?!?! what more could you ask for!!!!! friendly staff and beautiful apartments with Center City views for a great price;) ????
Location: at the intersection of four interesting and exciting neighborhoods. Near major streets and highways and public transportation. Right on broad street you can see the parades etc. Management: hard to review since its changed hands so many times. Theyve always seemed largely ineffective. Repairs are usually handled ok. Theres central air and my unit had a washer dryer which was great. The gym is nice. The garage is not. I take my chances with street parking. Someones always at the front desk to sign for packages. Nice courtyard. Had some fun on the roof. You can see all the firework shows. Theres always some noise from renovation or whatever. And the auto shop next door keeps a steady supply of noises and colorful yelling.
Marine Club Condos started off as a building for troops where some of our nation's finest lived while serving our country. Now it is a building for America's people. Under new management, renovations have given the building an uplift, location is perfect for easy access into the heart of the city, and the amenities are astounding. Concierge staff is cordial and provides safety for residents. Courtyard area with ponds and lounging areas with a state of the art fitness center. The Few. The Proud. Marine Club.
