It's the birthplace of the United States. It's a World Heritage City, the first in the country. It's Philadelphia's Old City, and it isn't just for tourists. This terrific neighborhood still features cobblestone streets, and the landmarks are amazing: Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Penn's Landing, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, and the Betsy Ross House. Elfreth's Alley is the oldest residential street in the nation, dating back to 1702. The museums are also impressive: the Museum of the American Revolution, the National Museum of American Jewish History, the Benjamin Franklin Museum, and the Independence Seaport Museum.
But while you'll have endless destinations to take out-of-town visitors, living in Old City provides a wealth of charm, walkable streets, terrific shops and restaurants, and an outstanding farmer's market. The neighborhood is bicycle-friendly, and bicycle rentals are available at Indego stations.

Property Ratings at Mariners Court Apartments
Let me start by commending Mercedes the PM, her response time is amazing. The neighbors are great, the location is safe, quiet and clean. I would recommend this rental group and apartment complex to anyone!
I resided in this place for nearly seven years. When I initially moved in, it was a delightful experience. The owners and property manager were outstanding. However, the building changed hands multiple times and saw a revolving door of property managers. Everything was running smoothly until Lucern Management took over and wreaked havoc on the property. The property manager at that time was exceptionally inept. After another change in ownership and several more shifts in property management, things improved somewhat compared to the Lucern era. Nevertheless, the building had deteriorated significantly and remained in a state of disrepair. The new owners refused to invest in the necessary repairs and maintenance, allowing the property to fall into disarray. I encountered numerous leaks during the last four years of my stay, and these issues were never properly addressed. It was not the fault of the maintenance team but rather the owners' reluctance to hire competent professionals for the job. The maintenance staff was stretched to their limits, and it often took weeks to have anything fixed. These persistent leaks eventually led to the growth of mold (which I had tested), causing severe allergy and asthma problems for both my son and me. We suffered from frequent illnesses with no clear explanation. In addition, I had a compromised immune system due to a cancer diagnosis while living in this apartment. As a result, the living conditions became overwhelming, and the owner refused to accept any responsibility. Ultimately, I chose to vacate the premises. I strongly advise against moving into this building. It is no longer properly maintained, plagued by mold, and in a state of constant deterioration. The original construction was flawed, and rectifying it would essentially require a complete overhaul. While it was once a beautiful home, the current owners' utter neglect has turned it into a nightmare. Unless you're comfortable with your apartment constantly leaking and falling apart, I would strongly discourage considering it as your new residence.
This apartment is truly a home, complete with 8 windows across two floors. A large living room with high ceiling, closet, exposed beams and a fireplace is a comfy spot to cuddle up on the couch or gather with friends. The kitchen is huge, with a wall of cabinets, stainless steel countertops, and exposed brick. Just off the kitchen is the door to the outdoor patio. Upstairs is two bedrooms, both spacious, one with exposed brick, closet, and patio access, the other features a closet and private entrance to the apartment. In between the bedrooms is the bathroom with a tub shower, laundry units, and vanity.
