Property Ratings at Mark Three
Ceiling collapsed, fridge door fell off, toilet needed repair , and heating needed repair twice , as well as the tub and dishwasher. The laundry room is a hard place to get things clean because it is pretty filthy. The wifi is dial up, yes, dial up. They do respond and I like the maintenance staff. I was polite with management until the final work order which was the ceiling collapse. He could not see why I was upset and the response was “apologies” and to contact my private insurance company. The ceiling repairs stated 3 days later. Repairs will continue for the next week. It smells, I lost access to part of my apartment, I have to wear shoes throughout and lost privacy. Apologies is all they’re willing to offer. I asked for a different point of contact as the manager is condescending and of course true to form, he agreed but informed me others are in agreement with him ??
I hunted a lot for an apartment in this area of Denver (highlands/jefferson park) and was unable to find ample square footage at a reasonable price. I really scored when I found this place! Very spacious one bedrooms (and 2 bedrooms) with excellent floorpans that utilize all space. The building is dated and the appliances are old, but give the place charm. I have a retro robin's egg blue oven in my kitchen that I adore. The bedroom is spacious (comparatively to other one bedrooms I viewed in this price bracket) and includes a new ceiling fan. No central air but has a wall unit that pushes cold air well enough for Denver summers. Small bathroom but fine for single dweller, new sink, updated bathtub. The building is very pet friendly (super cool dogs here), very nice & friendly tenants. The Cornerstone staff is extremely efficient and responsive on all counts. I have had to submit a couple minor work orders, all were completed same day... one of them I submitted online and the maintenance guy was there within 45 min, for just my garbage disposal! I'm extremely happy with my unit, this building and my neighborhood-- at such an affordable price. A couple of cons worth mentioning: - no dishwasher (in my unit anyway) - no in unit washer/dryers.. units are shared and are coin operated (annoying) - no balconies or outdoor space (although units have big windows)
