Combining the best elements of a modern metropolis with the rugged beauty of the American West, Salt Lake City has it all. “The Crossroad of the West” as its’ called, is ideal for folks who love the outdoors. Salt Lake City is surrounded by some of the most dramatically beautiful mountains and forests on the planet, perfect for mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and camping in the summer, and world-class skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, the stunning landscape provides unbeatable scenery.
Pioneer Park is a popular hangout for locals, and in the summer months hosts a free concert series featuring major national headliners. There’s a nexus of Interstates and highways that make exploring the outdoor destinations outside your apartment easy.

Property Ratings at Mark Twain Apartments
I have been living here for almost two years and I recommend this place to you! Lighting, its administration is excellent and when it comes to repairing something they do it at the moment !!! I am happy to live here
We recently lived in Mark Twain and we loved how close we were to the Jordan River Parkway. The apartments are spacious, though nonetheless old. Two major points which gave us reason to move out was: -We had a persistent mold problem which was treated apathetically until we pestered management multiple times, in spite of the mold causing me significant health issues. Responsibility to resolve the mold problem should have been centered on maintenance and management; however, the "cleanup" was left to us until we reported the issue multiple times when serious cleanup was finally done. We should not of had to report the issue so many times before something as serious as mold was taken care of. -Smokers in the complex who were a constant nuisance. I totally understand how Mark Twain is not a smoke-free community; however, they still have to abide by Utah Clean Air building codes, and no matter how many times we reported smokers who were constantly smoking within 25 feet of the building (many times right in front of the entryway) nothing was really done, no eviction notices were posted. It got to the point where we found it completely pointless to keep reporting to management because clearly nothing significant was being done, even though our lease agreement (which every resident signs) specifies that if smoking becomes a nuisance, it can be a cause of eviction. In short, our reason to leave greatly overrode the incentive and convenience of staying. This is a complex we will never return to reside.
Mark Twain are very nice apartments to live in. The 2 bedroom units are very large (I think 1000 sq feet) and have 2 toilets and one bathtub, and a fairly large laundry room. I have lived here many years and have never had a problem with things such as mice, bed begs or cockroaches. This complex is very centrally located and just a few blocks from I15 and a few miles from I-215. The elementary is Plymouth elementary school, a great school and the kids are bussed there, as well as Granite Park Jr High and Taylorsville High.
I've been living in this complex for a little over a year. The apartments are extreamly spacious for the amount. They are a bit outdated and the shower heads are low. Management has been great with working with me whenever I need help. Joyce is amazing, she is always on top of whatever you need done. The location is very central and close to the freeway and shops. However when I need something fixed it seems to take a long time to get it done, it does always get fixed but sometimes it takes a while. They have an onsite laundry facility and a small work out room that j use regularly.
These apartments are great! They are large in size, very well priced, and in a great location. We have had an amazing experience since we moved in four months ago. The ladies in the office are very nice, and very helpful. Every time we have had a maintenance issue it has been resolved that same day. The grounds are well kept, as well as the pool. They have activities every once in a while that are great fun! I am so glad we made the decision to move in here.
