Property Ratings at Mark Twain I
If you're looking for an affordable apartment, don't look any further. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and well kept. Ms. Vanessa assisted me and she’s the best! She’s knowledgeable and personable. When she says she’ll follow-up with you, she means it. She made the leasing process simple and easy even for a first timer like me. Since living here, I’ve only had a couple of maintenance issues. Eddy and Joe of the maintenance staff resolved my problems quickly. This is really a beautiful place to live!
I love it here. It’s so quite and peaceful. All of the office staff are so nice and helpful.
I found a very small amount of water on the floor of my laundry room, which I reported to Mark Twain's management. The same day Joe, an efficient and friendly staff member, checked it out. He explained that it was a fairly routine issue with the pan for the air conditioner. Which he fixed. Thanks, Joe! --Art (Mark kTwain I resident)
Mark Twain 1 is beautiful, quiet, safe place to live. The Leasing officer Travis is sooo sweet and helpful. The maintenance men are prompt and efficient! Joseph and Eddie are so kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. Joseph is exceptional! He went above and beyond to repair my AC unit. Joseph crawled inside the hot dark closet where the unit is to clean it, and worked on the roof in the rain to find the problem. He was wet and dirty afterwards, but still smiling and determined to complete the task. It's obvious he truly loves his job. When Joseph is assigned a ticket for repairs, I am never disappointed. I hope he gets a raise! All The staff members are AMAZING! Come check this complex out. I am confident you will love it here! :)
Mark Twain 1 is in a great location not to far from N'awlins Metairie or Kenner. Close to several Supermarkets along Jefferson Hwy. Near to two Catholic Churches and schools. The staff is very friendly. The maintenance staff are prompt in getting things fixed and friendly. I recommend this place for anyone looking for quiet place safe place to live.
The office staff and management are very helpful and do their best to solve your problems when they arise.
I applied for a rental here and was declined but the problem is I was told by staff that there is a third party that approves or declines applicants and I should call them. I called this third party they use and was told they didn’t decline me, Mark Twain did. I call Mark Twain back and tell them what was conveyed to me and the person on the phone seemed clueless. At that point I asked for the manager, Jennifer to contact me for an explanation, needless to say that was three 4 days ago. No one has bothered to call me back. I am incredibly disappointed as I’ve live there before and had no issues. I loved it which is why I went back. I guess no one really cares to give me clarification.
I have been living at this property for about four months. I have been pleased with everything. Lisa Marie was very professional and caring through the move in process. The location is amazing and the neighborhood is quiet. Minutes away from restaurants, shopping centers and sporting events. So happy I chose to live here!
I returned to New Orleans to find that rents have skyrocketed. These apartments are not only affordable, but close to the city. The complex is quiet, and so safe that residents routinely walk their dogs at night. Cyclists and walkers can access the levee without crossing busy roads. At the front entrance, buses pull up to the gates. I've lived here for a year, and my one or two minor maintenance issues were resolved promptly. The staff are unfailingly courteous. I'm glad to have found a place where I can remain for some time.
I’m relocating from Mississippi and came to look at apartments in the area. I called and toured an apartment and I loved it. I applied, paid deposit & picked up keys today. The office staff were very friendly and helpful.
My mom has lived here for a year and she absolutely loves everything about living here. It is quiet, safe and very conveniently located. Anytime she needs to call, maintenance, which isn't often, they are on top of whatever the issue is right away. The apartments are a great size and the pools and grounds are very clean. Laurie helped my mom with the initial application when she rented and is so helpful and genuine. After a year of living here, we know we made the right choice.
It’s cute and quaint for the price. I’m in a one bedroom studio, which is just enough space, and there’s plenty of storage. Overall I haven’t had any issues and Ms. Laurie at the office has been helpful when I have questions. Thanks.
I have lived here 5 years. Everyone I’ve ever dealt with in the office - Sandy, Travis, anyone - all great. When I need something fixed it gets done. This is a very nice place to live.
Mark Twain was a pretty decent complex despite the outdated kitchen. I resided here for three years. Upon my moving out they decided to keep my deposit and charge me another 70 dollars because I had a pet. However, I nor my room mate EVER HAD A PET in the unit. The office employees are coniving and money hungry. They would not look into the matter after I assured them that no pet was ever brought into the home. The apartment was left in great condition according to the statement I received from the office but, they stated that there was evidence of a pet living in the unit. It made no since and I am appalled and disgusted with their business practices! I would not live here if I were you.
This a great apt. complex with access to shopping centers, schools, & bus lines. It's a gated community with a excellent staff & repairs taken care of promptly . Nice well kept grounds with tennis courts & several swimming pools, & walking paths.
Mark Twain Apartments are perfect for our needs I'm in need of medical treatments and surgeries. Here we are close to my doctors and pharmacists. Quiet, calm, and safe apartment buildings. They also allow pets, have pools, and tennis courts.
In 2012 I found The Mark Twain Apartments online from Wisconsin; they where real helpful about us filling out the paperwork over fax and through the mail. We needed to move to New Orleans because of my Moms medical needs and had to find an apartment with a pool for here rehabilitation. It's lovely here; calm, and quiet. They have tennis quarts, pools, and also allow pets- which is good because we have a cat! It's also gated! The only slight con about our apartment is that the kitchen is quite small- it's lovely don't get me wrong just small...especially for a couple of cooks!!! :-)
