I’m a reiterate, what I had said in the beginning of this review you guys are doing an excellent job. Keep up the good work. If I do have anything I would be the first to say something to someone and management and so far I have not had anything to say that just couldn’t have been taken care of, short period of time you guys work.
Market House is your run-of-the-mill "luxury" apartment building. Definitely not worth the price of rent (which they will jack up at the end of your lease to a laughable amount). Security: - Want a building that you could stroll into through the open and unlocked garage, walk through a propped open door that hasn't had a working lock in months, and get on an elevator that doesn't require a fob to get to ANY floor of the building? Then do I have the place for you! Utilities: - Do you enjoy not knowing how much you're going to end up paying for common space utilities only to have the building constantly promising to look into why that month's bill was particularly inflated? Market House has you covered. Pets: - Maybe you have a dog using the dog park, but two violent pit bulls would rather attack your pet. Don't worry, Market House won't respond to your email about the incident and the animals get to continue terrorizing other dogs. Amenities: - Do you like broken treadmills, gates that don't work, and urine-soaked amenity spaces? You will get it all AND more at Market House. Quality: - Cheap fixtures and shoddy construction are noticeable throughout. Community: - They put on shows regularly, which you can see in the reviews they have encouraged to hide poor reviews. They're fine.- Lot of emails about enforcing rules...not a lot of actual enforcement. So if you like the smell of cigarette and weed smoke in your apartment coming through their shoddy HVAC system, look no further. - Parking is a joke. Good luck.- A wonderful community of unhoused people will share your property with you as well. Enjoy! - Management is all-around poor. Perks: - Concierge service is great, and the staff at the front desk are welcoming. - Don't waste your time or money renting at Market House.

The amenities are great, the pool is nice, and the rooftop offers a view of the Capitol, making it perfect for inviting friends or family to enjoy a pleasant holiday together.

Great amenities. Ok maintenance. Seems like they care about making the place look like it runs smoothly but there are some kinks that need to be addressed and inconsistencies with what concierge and other staff allow/general rules imposed on residents.

I would not recommend anyone sign a lease with Market House. The management is confrontational, disorganized, and difficult about everything I’ve had to interact with them about. Community amenities are regularly broken, unorganized, and unkept. Every interaction with the community is difficult.

Great location above and beyond the apartment buildings in Union Market community. Close enough for a convenient walk to restaurants, movie theater, and shops, this a huge benefit of not being directly in the Union Market district versus the area. Grocery stores and Metro transportation are extremely convenient and newly opened Starbucks.

I would stay far away from market house. I have lived here since it first opened in Nov 2022. From day 1 things were horrible (elevators down at move in, garage not working, rats in the garage) Fast forward a few months there was repeated random people entering the building and sleeping in various areas of the building and walking into residents apartments, the building did nothing. I had two bikes that were almost stolen out of the garage in the building. Parking will cost $275. For that you get to play a game of chance if you'll get a space. Some how they gave 1/4 of the garage for valet parking which leaves you having to make up a space if your one of the unlucky people who arrive late and there are no more spaces in the garage for you to park. On top of that a package was stolen from the mail room and I was told it's basically not our problem. You can find much better in the area. The staff turnover here is crazy, problems in the apartments don't get fixed. And I hope you like loud music and parties. There seems to be a new party on the rooftop every other week. not small gathers but full on parties that can be heard from 2/3 floors down. The response from the assistant manager on these issues was "It is worth reiterating that, as stated in the lease agreement, we are not responsible for ensuring the safety or security of the premises. We highly encourage residents to take appropriate personal precautions to safeguard their belongings and promptly report any suspicious activities to the local authorities." this coming after crime has picked up in the area someone killed right in front of the building and cars broken into, there was just a fire in the building and they have emergency exits that dont even open. "we want to emphasize that the lease agreement clarifies that we are not liable for any lost or "stolen" packages. The handling and delivery of packages are handled by external service providers, for which we do not assume responsibility." So a property that doesn't care about your safety or property.

Love the community here and have never met hostile neighbors. Wish they would add in the lease the carpeting rule that most non-carpeted buildings have because my upstairs neighbor is obnoxious and I can hear him all the time. Maintenance always answers my requests within 24 hours. One of my vents is directly attached to someone else’s so I ended up covering it because they blast music. You can tell that some of the finishes in the units were rushed (uneven floors, cracks, etc). Overall building staff has always been kind to me.

This is a great community and everything is well-kept. The only downfall is that there needs to be better communication from the leasing team. The concierges are great and so kind. I have had an overall good experience so far.

Prime location for professionals seeking an area where a vehicle is not needed. You can work and play in the same neighborhood plus, enjoy all of the modern amenities in the building. So far I am very happy at Market House. My biggest complaints are that my apartment rattles when planes fly over, I was never made aware of any resident apps, and the parking cost is absurd. But otherwise I am very happy here and have no real major complaints.
