Don’t be surprised if you see an old-timey merchant ship sailing on the Christina River. No, you haven’t been transported back in time – you’re witnessing an evening cruise taking place on the Kalmar Nyckel. The ship was an important part of Downtown Wilmington’s history, as it was the vessel the founding Swedish settlers arrived on in 1638. Aboard the ship, you might be able to catch a glimpse of its resident boat cat.
Living in Downtown Wilmington, you’re surrounded by historic buildings and modern apartments. The area is bound by Interstate 95, MLK Jr. Boulevard, the Christina River, and Brandywine Creek, providing locals everything from easy commutes to natural landscapes. Property Ratings at Market View Residences
The area, building and apartment is beautiful, unfortunately that's where it ends. It's mind boggling how incompetent management is when is comes to just executing simple tasks. I asked for entry to the building a week prior to my move to make sure the process would go smoothly. My messages were responded 6 days later that evening well after I finished my move. I had to call the emergency line just to get access to the unit. Furthermore, I reached out to 3 staff members multiple times everyday for a week to retrieve my mail key, set up the wifi, and be able to change my entry code so that I'm not using the temporary one. It's been over a week now without a response and since then, I've used all the data on my phone to compensate for the lack of wi-fi set up and haven't been able to access my mail before the holidays in addition to retrieving important documents needed for a business trip. I can't fathom having to reach out for actual maintenance or any other serious issues if it's been this tedious to just retrieve a mail key and get the wifi password. I truly hope these reviews don't go unnoticed and something is done. It's truly a shame that such a nice building with beautiful units is so poorly managed and their tenants are left scrambling to just get the basics and essentials.
Avoid this place at all costs. When I supposed moved in the property manger didn’t even show up. When I was finally let into the building after an hour of waiting I was told by other residents that the heating hadn’t been working for over a month and no one could get a hold of management. On top of that when I moved in it took them a day to update the key pad to get into my apartment so anyone could have gotten in. Not to mention the apartment itself had unsealed floors, bugs, and paint everywhere. The building also smells like weed and dogs barking nonstop. I wish I could move out.
The location of the building is great and the building itself is beautiful. But it has a long way to go. I would expect a bit more out of this property especially since it is primely located in the downtown area. The management is the worst, they are unresponsive and even if they are, their lack of involvement and dismissiveness makes you second guess if this is the right decision.

Please don’t rent here. There is no heat. They are aware and have not fixed it. It is the whole building not just one unit. They promise you a lot of things when you move in but don’t follow through.
