Property Ratings at Markham At Lakeline
I’ve lived at this property for years but things have really went downhill since the new management has taken over. We renewed our lease a few months ago thinking it would change but that isn’t a the case. The paid for garbage valet is inconsistent which caused us a HUGE any problem. My family was constantly bitten throughout the summer. With the ice storm there were fallen trees that were just left there to rot even after the weather turned hot. It’s just not the general look you want for a property you live in. The estimated community water bills and community fees total up to a few extra hundred a month The maintenance team while responsive, never actually complete work orders. With construction happening across the street we’ve popped 3 tires over the last year with random screws and nails when coming into the property. Overall the above didn’t exist we would still move because the buildings are nice inside but dated. We will be moving to one of the surrounding new properties built in our area if the timing matches up with our lease ending. With our research we also found that century hill south has the same exact building and layout and townhome style apartment for about $200-$500 cheaper per month
I lived here for two years. I moved out 2 months ago, and I got a call this morning from a collection agency that I owed $200 for replacing the carpet and our last water bill. I would have happily paid it if they had let me know via phone call, email, or mail that I owed something. I also have been by the apartment complex twice since I moved out to pick up packages that were delivered to my old address. I just can't believe that any business would have $200 report to the credit bureaus after being a wonderful tenant for 2 years. This is a terrible way to treat someone.
I visited The M at Lakeline and I must say the property is beautiful. Macy gave me the tour of the property and she was great! She is very professional and knows a lot about the property and the floor plans. One of the other leasing agents was very nice as well. When I walked in I wasn't in the greatest of mood, but they both seemed eager to help. Macy was able to turn my day around and I left in a great mood! Loved the property, the apartments, amenities, and the staff! Can't wait to live here!
I love my apartment and the staff is friendly. All around good place to live
Parking is horrendous, if people actually used their garages/reserved spots it would help but they don't and the complex can't do anything about it. Shared water so your water bill is very expensive, I live in a 1 bed 1 bath and our water bill is almost $200 for one month. The excuse the apartment gives you is they did not bill us correctly the last month. Received a warning of a lease violation for not picking up pet waste and I pick up after my dog and other peoples dogs everyday. The apartment says a staff member saw someone so I guess they just issue lease violations to everyone in the vicinity and they think that's ok. They have asked how come you don't report someone for not picking up after their dog, how am I supposed to know what dog waste belongs to what apartment? A friend of mine that lives here also got their sons scooter stolen from their porch and there has been drug dealing in this complex. It has been one problem after another here and there is only one staff member that is genuine and actually cares and that is Colby, everyone else doesn't care and are just going through the motions. They have yet to fix the parking lot light near us and its been a couple months, if you submit a ticket and request a certain day/time or request for them to call for access. They will ignore all of it and just show up when they want. AVOID THIS COMPLEX LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
Everything about this complex is perfect! Our apartment is spacious and the floor plan is unique. Management is attentive to your needs and maintenance issues are handled in a timely manner. We’ll be here a long time!

My roommate and I live in the b4 floor plan (2 bed/2 bath) with a 2 car garage attached. The bedrooms are separate from each other and have direct access to a full bathroom. We love how open the kitchen is and all the counter space available for food prep and entertaining. We use the gym a lot and love that it has so much equipment. Couldn't ask for a better location to shopping with the mall right down the street. I highly recommend living at The M at Lakeline.
I relocated from out of state with a job opportunity. It is hard to move from a home to an apartment, but until I can buy a home this is it. I leased my 4 bedroom 3 bath, 2 car garge apartment without even touring the community. Not only did i get to see the model photos, Desirae went out of her way to take photos of my actual home! The day I moved in I felt so welcomed by everyone in the office including the maintenance guy Kelly who went out of his way to introduce himself to me and my husband. The apartment really feels like a home. The location is amazing and I love the gym! It is nice to not feel rushed to buy a home just yet.

Percy is absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly and prompt. The move in process was anything short of a great experience. It truly feels like home. The property grounds upkeep is done regularly. Living here is amazing!

This complex has some of the worst management in the industry. The new ownership treats all tenants like they are squatters. We had our apartment professionally cleaned and received a bill rather than a deposit refund for details such as cleaning toilets and refrigerators that our cleaners had spotless when we moved out. There are ants in the walls and covering the grounds. The only way to avoid being victimized by the criminals that run this place is to not even set foot on the property.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!! The Management has the worst communication skills. They do not communicate with each other or with the residents. On several occasions, I overheard management lying to residents blaming old management for things that were new issues. The grounds are riddled with feces and ant hills. For months I brought this up to management, but there was never an improvement. If you have a dog, this is the perfect way for your dog to catch a disease or bring the disease into your home! I almost fell down my stairs because the floors were improperly repaired. I was told that the flooring company came by and said the floors were just fine, even though I provided pictures of the un-leveled floor! Nothing was ever done to fix this issue! We also had to have pest control come out on a weekly basis because we had ants, that showed up when our neighbors moved out and nothing could get rid of them. Unprofessional management and maintenance lacks the knowledge to complete tasks properly. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
After having lived in the complex for over 1 1/2 years, I moved out in mid-January. Today I received my final bill stating I owe $377.33. Upon looking into this, I realized the new management had charged me for an extra day of living in the apartment in spite of the fact that I actually moved out a day BEFORE my vacancy date. With this came "month-to month" charges as if I had entered into a month to month contract by staying an extra day. Also tacked on for good measure were $195 worth of late fees for this extra day I wasn't actually there, not to mention water, trash and pest control charges as well. When I questioned why my water bill was $91 dollars for an apartment I stayed in only 4-5 nights a month, I was told the new management was using a new system and that they were charging for two occupants. I told them my husband had never even seen the apartment much less used any water there since I only used it for business lodging when I was in Austin for my job. They said he was on the lease and I reminded them that I was made to put him on the lease because we are married. Their answer -- I'm sorry, that's just they way we do it. So for 3 or 4 showers and a couple of loads of clothes, expect to pay huge amounts for your water since the entire complex pays for everyone's water. Beware and choose wisely. Pass this complex up in your search!
The new management company that took over recently is terrible. They are rarely available and you always have to wait at least 20 minutes before you talk to someone. They seem to never be able to give you a straight answer either. This is the first month of water billing that we received from the new company and it is somehow doubled. When I asked them how this could be, they all gave me different answers. Many of the residents are questioning the bill and they are just saying that it's right. They refuse to show how it is right and how they are actually billing and just tell you to talk to the third party billing company.
Wonderful location just a block from the Austin Metro Rail, yet away from the worst of the Austin traffic.
