Property Ratings at Marq Townhomes
Listen, I'm not normally the type to trash a place online, but I can't stay silent about Marq Townhomes. This place seemed promising, but it's been a complete disaster, especially for me and my dog. My dog is an ESA (I know, I know... but like a real one), and the reason I had to send him to live with family is heartbreaking. He was attacked by two unleashed dogs belonging to another resident – a serious incident that landed us in the emergency vet. When I brought this up to management, they basically shrugged it off. Turns out, they don't enforce their own leash policies, and the grounds are a minefield of dog poop. The billing here is a whole other level of ridiculous. Despite setting up my own gas service, they keep charging me for it. Plus, my rent was supposed to be a certain fixed amount a month with internet included. Now it's ballooned over $600 MORE with all sorts of unexplained "service fees." I moved here expecting a safe place for myself and my ESA. Instead, he was injured, I'm drowning in unexpected bills, and it's clear management couldn't care less about the wellbeing of residents. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. It's honestly not worth the risk.
We moved in last August of 2020 and we couldn’t wait for our lease to end. We never felt safe living here, and the office never took our concerns seriously. We dealt with cockroaches, drug needles on the property, and sketchy people on the grounds constantly. I couldn’t walk my dog past sun down because I didn’t feel safe. I have a young daughter, and some of the things she saw from being outside or sitting on our balcony, was very disturbing and scary. The townhome itself is beautiful. However, the unsanitary and unsafe living conditions are not worth it. On top of it all, it was poorly managed and we were always treated as if we were over reacting. I could go on about all of the things we witnessed while living here, but I just felt the need to let people know what they’re getting into if deciding to move here. We couldn’t get out of here fast enough.

We sincerely apologize for the frustrations and bad experience you had at The Marq. Our team strives to maintain the community to the best of our abilities, and its disappointing to know we missed that mark during your time with us. It is always our number one goal as management to make sure our residents feel heard and seen. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you in person and address any issues, even if you have already vacated. Please contact the Leasing Office whenever is convenient for you.
The units are fine, but this community overall is not safe. Ive watched break-ins occur, Ive had transient people ring my bell at night, and Ive had countless packages stolen. There have been a handful of nights over the past year that Ive spent at a hotel not feeling safe in my unit. The property is poorly lit at night. The common area used to be very well lit with both pool and flood lighting which gave a small sense of safety. You are no longer able to pay rent online and need to obtain cashiers checks which costs an additional fee on top of the hassle of going to get the check. Its not worth the rent or bother for the number of incidents occur on the property.

The Marq is a small, but beautiful townhome community. Its conveniently located near downtown SLC, restaurants, shops and more. The townhome features are modern and chic. The industrial vibe is awesome. Would recommend checking out this community if youre looking for a quiet, cool place to live.
