Where should I start? Maybe with the flea eggs in the carpet, or maintenance barging into my bedroom at 7am with no notice, or never being able to find a parking spot? I’m so glad I moved away from here, but I implore you, if you’re considering moving here - consider again.

Carrie and Jessie are great at their job and do so much to help. They are doing lots of work to the complex to make things better. Maintenance staff helps with anything needed.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! I went in to request an tour and they were of course dealing with other individuals so we were told to wait we’ll minutes passed and one of the office workers came out the office saying “YES MA’AM CAN I HELP YOU” In at very rude manner. she asked for our IDS and threw them to the other office worker being smart. I didn’t even want to view the apartments after that ??

Marijuana smells If you live in these apartments, and the neighbors upstairs or downstairs smoke marijuana, rest assured that those smells will affect your apartment.The people who work in the leasing office offer no solutions to this problem.This smell affects our children, and everything in our apartment absorbs that smell, clothes, carpets, towels, everything.It is very unpleasant to pay for a service and that they do not offer solutions and even more so to something as serious as having problematic neighbors and that they smoke marijuana without caring that this affects the neighbors.
If you live in the apartments above or below, and in any of these there are neighbors who smoke marijuana inside their apartments, that smell gets into yours and the people at the leasing office do not offer solutions in this regard. When that smell enters your apartment, your towels, your blankets, the carpets, all that smell adheres to those things and even worse if you have children and they can't sleep because when your neighbors want to smoke marijuana at dawn, they don't they care that this affects the rest of the neighbors. It is very unpleasant to pay for a service and that they do not offer solutions and even more so to something as serious as having problematic neighbors and that they smoke marijuana without caring that this affects the neighbors.
Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time. It took us 2 months to get a toilet that would flush toilet paper. When we moved in, the outlets downstairs didn’t work which took almost 2 weeks to get anyone to come fix. We still do not have an upstairs toilet that can flush more than liquid and a shower that doesn’t drain. There is a roach infestation. It literally takes us at least 2 follow-up office visits/calls/emails to get any answers about maintenance issues. Summer works in the office and is literally the the rudest, most condescending person I have encountered since moving to Alabama. They make it seem like a wonderful place to live when you come visit. The “show apartment” is stunning, but where you will actually live is nothing like what they show.
Marq is an old filthy overpriced roach motel with new paint and cheap appliances! Roaches are in the shower, on the beds, in drawers, cabinets, closets, under lamps, in the refrigerator, on the walls, everywhere... Hopefully the light fixture that's been dangling from the ceiling since I moved in and the smell of mold and mildew in the air is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm pretty sure management is breaking laws/leases too because I've been lied to and also had my maintenance issues ignored by 2-3 different managers working (and no longer working) here since July. The property owners use false advertising they don't honor, they're never available and won't return my phone calls..

The reviews are accurate. This place sucks. Main office disorganized. Ask same question to two different workers and get two different answers. Promises arent kept. Kids are not welcome, they are harrassed. Renovations are cheaply done. Everything falls apart. Washers and dryers suck. Take forever to dry next to nothing. No water pressure. Roaches all over. One dumpster site on property which is inconvenient to most.

My husband and I have lived in these beautiful apartments for 6 months now. They are completely renovated with brand new appliances including front load washer and dryer. Even French doors leading to the patios. New carpet new hardwoods granite tile. The staff is so friendly and helpful and always makes time for us. We even moved in our daughter in the next building. Couldn’t be happier with this complex!
I've lived in many apartments but Marq has been the best so far. not only is it in a tucked away spot but the Office girls are very warm and welcoming.. casey was able to find me an apartment last minute. . . she was very hands on and helpful..really funny too. the apartments have new everything w/ impressive updates. only thing is the property is not 100% done but it is pretty close to what i can see
I recently got married to the love of my life and while we were looking for our first home we stumbled upon MarQ Vestavia. We read some of the reviews online and to be honest with you they weren’t that great. However, we did see that they were under new management and were completely renovating the entire complex. We made an appointment to check out one of the townhomes and ended up signing a 12 month lease after they showed us around the complex and told us everything that they were doing. We moved into the townhome in June and were looking forward to using the pool that they said was “almost finished” and now it is almost Novemember and they are “still working on it.” So far this has been a complete disaster! The first day we got here (the day we got back from our honeymoon) we realized that every single one of the brand new outlets needed to be replaced because they were loose and the plug would fall out of the outlet. This was not a big deal but getting someone to come replace them took weeks (even though they have a maintenance man “on call 24/7.” The next problem we had was with our water. After being here for a couple of days we realized that we would not have any hot water after one of took a shower or ran the water for longer than 5 minutes. We talked to the manager, told them the situation and nothing was done about this until they found out that MY WIFE had been driving 30 minutes, one way, to take a shower at her parents house every other day for 3 weeks! Another problem we STILL HAVE is with our Air Conditioning. Our townhome is two stories and the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) is burning up. Once again, I went and talked with the manager and her solution to the problem was to close EVERY SINGLE VENT except for the one going into our bedroom so that it is not burning up at night. She told me that a lot of other people are having the same problem and “that is what they are doing since we don’t have fans .” By now I am livid with the entire staff here but every single person who was working here when we moved in has either quit or been fired. I know that might seem a little dramatic but when I say “every single person has quit,” I mean Every. Single. Person. Another problem we have is with his the cable is installed. If you drive up to the complex the first thing you will see is black wires coming out of peoples windows
I moved in right at the start of these marvelous renovations and I must say, I'm impressed. The apartments are looking amazing inside and out ! It's quiet and near the shopping centers, restaurants, and the movie theater here in the heart of Vestavia ! It is very reserved and modern looking. The new management team is so sweet and they have a great special going on currently. I am very happy with the decision I made to move here.

Save yourselves from making a terrible choice. Been here for years and have yet to have a management company stay longer than a year. Had everything from roaches to sewage flooding out of the sinks. Ceiling in the bathroom sunk in from leak and it took them over a year to get someone to come fix it. By then it was black mold and all they did was spray paint over it. Water gets cut off weekly yet water bills are twice as much as any place else I've lived. This place is unlivable, unsafe and unhealthy as it is and i'm only paying half of what they're charging now a for a one bedroom. At these new prices now it's piracy. Do yourself a solid and look for somewhere that isn't going to be hazardous to your heath and well being

Whatever you do, don't live here. This place is crap. I guess they're trying to run hard working people away and get the elite type in here by renovating and raising rent. Well changing doors and windows won't solve the bad plumbing or critter infestations. This place was built in 1973 and not 2013. If you're the type that wants to rent for these ridiculous prices then at least go somewhere that was built within the last 10yrs for your money. Please oh please hear me. Don't get fooled by these people. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE..!!!!!!!!!!

This apartment complex has been nothing but trouble since I have moved in 4 months ago! We have already switched management companies and still are experiencing horrible conditions! While renovations are happening the are cutting water services off during ALL TIMES OF DAY INCLUDING WEEKENDS without notice! When asked the new worker Chris said “I have no way of knowing when the water will be on or off and you can either deal it or put in your 30-day notice”. Please heed to the reviews and RUN FOR THE HILLS as fast as possible AWAY from this complex!

Horrible living conditions. These are the projects of Vestavia. Roaches, rats, bed bugs, fleas, you name it. Over priced water bill. Staff is horrible as well. One big headache and bad decision.
