Property Ratings at Marq West Seattle
We moved here when the building was just completed, it was called the Vue at that time. We were drawn by its convenient location to downtown Seattle, it's wide array of local dining options as we'll as boutique shops, and of course, the 2 minute drive to Alki beach. I work in the heart of downtown and it's just a 5 minute bus ride with several bus lines going directly into Seattle. However, there is still a quietness and 'local' vibe you get living here. Since it has become Marq West Seattle, the place has only gotten better. There are so many amenities living here. Fitness studio, rooftop lounge, resident events, valet trash, dog wash (they are very pet friendly) and it just goes on. However, I think the real jewel here is the staff. Kristofer, Greg, and Jackie are always so friendly and helpful. It's nice to know that when a problem arises or you just need help, there is an on site staff that prides themselves in making your living experience comfortable and stress free. We love this place and you will too!!!

Very well maintained building with modern apartment. Staff has been very helpful over the years. Great views of Mt Rainier on the South side of the building.

I love living in the Vue. Spacious common area and roof top with 2 grills are amazing. The only drawbacks I can think of are fitness room is too small and dysfunctional, and for a studio unit, we can only open one window, which even can't be fully opened.
It's very clean, and in a good centrally located area next to several restaurants and bars. The people are friendly, but also know how to mind their business. The common areas are fantastic with amazing views of Seattle at night. The staff are very friendly as well, plus they put out cookies and have a fully stocked Keurig in the front entrance area. The only thing bad is the sparse fitness room the size of a walk in closet, and the only window in the apartment that opens less then halfway. Otherwise, it's delightful.
My dog, my fiancé, and I are in love with where we live! The Vue is brand new, and in the perfect location in West Seattle. We renewed our second lease in May, and are enjoying our 2BRM space with full views of the Seattle skyline. April, our leasing office manager, is wonderful. We would be SO EXCITED to win free rent for this upcoming year, so that we can stay here longer. Thanks!
Vue is a nice, big-box type apartment building in West Seattle. The apartments vary from studio to two bedroom, all with washer/dryer (as someone who lived on the east coast for five years, this fact never ceases to amaze me!). The common areas are all very nice, with spectacular views of the city and Mt. Rainier. The dog run out back is nice if you have a pup, and the maintenance team is quick and responsive. I have found the building to be pretty quiet with not too much noise transfer between apartments (though I've heard otherwise from a few other tenants, so maybe I'm just lucky). The building is built green, so our utility bills are generally pretty low. I'm pretty happy to live here. A few cons: 1. The windows don't open very far, so the apartments can get H-O-T during the summer (especially if you have an east or west facing apartment). The building-provided air conditioners are ineffective (plus, you have to pay extra for them). 2. Management can sometimes be difficult to work with. Miscommunications have been unfortunately common for us. Because Greystar is a massive corporation, you don't get the kind of human-to-human service you would get at a smaller building. 3. Parking is inadequate for all tenants, and expensive (over $100/month). Street parking is mostly adequate, though.
I love our apartment. We are located with in walking distance to restaurants and bus lines. We have great roof top deck looking on to downtown Seattle and mount Rainer. Hardwood floors throughout, except bedroom is carpeted, large den for home office and storage. My only complaints are the bathroom contains the washer and dryer which leaves you with only a walk in shower without a bath tub. Also the bedroom can only really fit a queen bed and our bedroom closet is designed in such a way it renders part of the space almost unusable (long and narrow,a good foot of it is behind the front wall)We have lots of storage, and a modern kitchen with great sturdy counters with extra space to do dinner prep,it has a dinning bar attached as well. Great one space for a couple close to the city, in one of the most up and coming neighborhoods in Seattle wa.
The floor plans are designed to maximize the amount of usable space in each apartment. The layouts are quite open, and the windows are large. If you're on the street side of the building, your view is of the apartments across the street, but if you're high enough you can probably see Seattle over them. On the opposite side, your view is of either trees or of Mount Rainier if you're high enough to see over the trees. The amenities are quite good. The common room has a kitchen and a TV, and while it in theory has a BluRay player, not many people have ever gotten the BluRay to work. The kitchen doesn't get much use, since the stovetop has induction burners and there aren't any induction compatible pots available in the room, so you have to provide your own. The terrace is a pleasant place to relax, and has two barbecues. On the roof there is a pleasant lounge with a large dining table and some extra seating and a beautiful view. The rooftop terrace has even better views than the lounge, plus two barbecues, a TV and a firepit. Same situation with BluRay of course... and it took nearly a year for the building maintenance to get the firepit working. There is a fireplace, but it offers no warmth, just a pleasant ambiance while watching TV on the roof. The staff are invariably friendly, and the ladies (currently) in reception are no exception. If they have a package for you and you're going to get home too late to pick it up, you can e-mail them a request to leave it in your apartment. The building is quite secure, requiring a fob for access to basically everything. The visitors' garage is open during the day as is the lobby, and that's about it. From what I understand, parking is a bit of a trial. The garage is to small and has too many parking spots, so getting in and out can be difficult. The location is great; it's a short walk to Trade Joe's, QFC, Beer Junction, and even the Luna Park Cafe, plus there is plenty of transit available, including express buses that take around 15 minutes to reach downtown Seattle, though the rush hour traffic tends to hold them up a bit. Overall, I recommend The Vue in spite of the fact that it is pretty expensive.
I decided to downsize and SIMPLIFY LIFE, so I sold everything I own and decided to find the smallest, nicest studio apartment I could find with the best view of my favorite city (and home town), Seattle. I could not have asked for better at THE VUE in West Seattle. It has THE BEST view of Seattle and the waterfront (180 degrees from Mt. Baker to Mt. Rainier!), BRAND NEW awesome studios with large decks (in additions to great 1,2 & 3 bedrooms & amazing lofts!), indoor parking and the best bonus of all is a super professional, extraordinary and caring staff. The rooftop garden has a unique outdoor large screen TV, TWO gas fireplaces/grills and the staff hosts GREAT parties for the apartment community. I don't have a pet but the building is extremely pet friendly. The staff insures that this community remains an awesome place to live, day after day. After one year, I am still happy as can be and have NO intentions of leaving. THE VUE is some of the best living that Seattle has to offer!!
There are three reasons why I love this building. First the location - it is right of of Avalon way, close to the bus stop and situated on the hill with Downtown, Mt. Rainier and West Seattle Stadium views. Second the facility - the amenities are outstanding and the facility is kept clean. The staff responds quickly and appropriately to requests for service. The third reason is that when we were renting the apartment we were going through some challenging changes and the manager was responsive even after hours which made everything so much easier.
"This community was an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful community. Everything was so beautiful that I felt like I was at a resort. The office staff was extremely accommodating and friendly also. It could not be better located and was amidst a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools. It offered amenities that most communities did not."
Great place, great price and great manager. The Vue apartment is definitely a place to check out.
Between the super helpful always smiling staff ready to assist in any way possible to the breathtaking views and immaculately kept rooftop deck, the Vue is a place myself, my daughter and my dog will never forget
The vue has a great location and is very clean and modern. The rooftop has the perfect view and is great spot for a weekend hangout! The gym is a little small, but at least they have one! There is street parking that can be a little hard to find, but it's there. I enjoy living here and probably will for awhile!
The staff are great, but the property is built poorly. I've heard some horror stories, but haven't had any issues myself.
The office manager (April) is by far one of the most fake people I've every come across. David, the maintenance person, on the other hand, is great! Very real, seems like he works hard. I always see him cleaning, fixing, etc. I don't know how he does it! This whole property by himself, and with so much to do! Super awesome amenities, close to literally everything, yet far enough to be able to find street parking. Safe area.
Property Manager at Marq West Seattle, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you feel that I am fake. I strive to provide great customer service to each and every individual that I am in contact with. I am not perfect and I am human but I try to do my very best at maintaining this beautiful mid-rise building and helping residents the best I can (within reason).
