Closer to the highway, you’ll find beautifully landscaped neighborhoods and terrific shopping areas mixing to deliver a much more suburban feel. The upscale North Star Mall is located here, offering stores like Dillard’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.
A variety of neighborhoods are contained within North San Antonio. The ones on the south end include Castle Hills, Oak Valley, Greater Harmony Hills, Hollywood Park, Hill Country Village, Lockhill Estates, and Whispering Oaks. Travel north past Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Camp Bullis to find spacious and elegant communities like Timberwood Park, Bulverde, and Fair Oaks Ranch.

Property Ratings at Cypress at Stone Oak
Our cars were broken into. Found out that none of the security cameras worked from another tenant, from when their car was broken into. Turns out it has happened to multiple tenants. The office had yet to send the footage we requested for the police report. They moved us in with half installed appliances, and fire alarm batteries beeping. We were told not to adjust them and they would, and they have not. We ended up replacing the batteries ourselves. Our upstairs neighbor is incredibly loud to the point we have had to call the police multiple times. Shouting until 3am, throwing objects, and having multiple loud guests over as well. The complex does not do anything about it either. Save your money. Do not rent here. You will pay Stone Oak prices for some of the worst rental conditions I have ever experienced.
Absolutely terrible Trash everywhere Just no pride it was once a beautiful complex stay away
Absolutely terrible. Read all the reviews from the RESIDENTS. Not kept up. Run down. Insane extra fees. I should’ve moved out but I’m due to PCS soon.
They are cheap, and charge like luxury apartments. 50% increase with extra hidden fees that no one tell you about. The place is terrible, the hallways smell bad, common areas always dirty. The pool is green, piles of trash every day by the si later, elevator smell like pee, it’s all bad. And extremely expensive! I wish I could upload tons of pics that I have.
Poor experience all around from day one, serving my time here with nothing but regret. Roach infections that goes untreated, been an issue the entire time I’ve been here and many others are dealing with similar issues. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE COMING HERE
It’s become an absolute dump and their business dealings are shady! My parents have lived here for seven years. It’s been great for them up until this new management company has taken over. They’re rude, fake and it’s an eyesore. The gate hasn’t worked in 2 years. Elevators are always broken, trash and furniture is piled at the dumpster, it’s dark in the hallways and my parents have waited months for simple repairs. This year, they raised their rent $400 at renewal! $400! I realize rent has gone up across the country, but $400 for one year is insane. My complex only went up $100, which is reasonable. They’ve also started charging for parking when you can’t park anywhere else. It makes no sense. There are no new perks for that $400. It’s not even updated. They now have to downsize and are moving to another apartment. We would move them out but my mom needs a standing shower and an elevator because she’s handicapped. There aren’t many places around that offer this so they’re just going to downsize. This company is forcing them to pay a $500 transfer fee. Nowhere in their current lease does it say they need to pay this if they move to a different unit but they’re making them do it anyway. This week they told them if they don’t pay it, they’re going to cancel the new lease and make them stay in their current apartment at $400 higher a month. It’s absolutely disgusting what they’re doing to a retired couple who has lived here for 7 YEARS! I would stay away if I were you. There are so many well managed complexes around that actually care about their residents and their well-being. This isn’t one of them.
Back in may I let them know that my ice machine was not working and I needed a new water filter. It is now October since that time I had a water leak and it looked like Ice Age in my freezer. Today I made the fourth phone call and they finally said that they would be here on Tuesday to fix it. The complex has not been a secure site for months. The gates have been open and the doors to the building are not secure. I pay for a secure site. A gentleman on my floor in Building 9 has a ring doorbell and her said people have been roaming the hall at 1:00 and 2:00 in the morning. How secure is that. There's also a broken handrail that has been there for months. The lighting and the lobby has been broken. The smoke detector was going off as if it had a battery that needed charging. It took my brother-in-law to screw it back into the ceiling for the noise to go off. They have now started charging us almost $46 a month for the dumpster I only put out one bag a week because I live by myself we also pay $25 for valet service you can't tell me that it's $15,000 a month for dumpster service and why are we paying it I'm sure my $1,800 that I'm paying for a two bedroom should cover that. Plus I only put four bags of trash if that a month in that trash dumpster. It's not regulated by how many occupants it's done by apartment. Dogs bark after 10:00 at night without stopping and you better watch where you walk. The last problem and biggest problem are the elevators. At one time our elevator was out for two and a half weeks. I had to stay at my daughter's because I couldn't take groceries up stairs living on the 4th floor with bad knees.
First and foremost, this property is hands down a gorgeous facility. From the beginning of summer, to now, they have completely repainted everything on the property, and have done beautiful landscaping throughout the property. If you are a pet owner, you will be pleased that they actually maintain pretty well, considering how many renters have pets here. It is quiet and for the most part safe around here which is a huge plus, considering how things are now all over the place. The downfall of this property is the elevators! They are constantly breaking, so if you live on one of the top floors, get ready to take those flights of stairs!! The emergency number after hours is a hit or miss. Sometimes it will work I suppose, but other times, good luck and fend for yourself. The property is way to big, and it is way to understaffed. Maintenance has been fantastic, but the “high priority - low priority” will definitely be the deciding factor when it comes to this property. The office staff has been UP, and then DOWN. Minerva and Marissa have been the kindest, but there is such thing as being overworked. This property should not be a training property. Put people that will not talk crap about residents, and will actually be willing to find a solution instead of “leaving a note”. Cypress at Stone Oak has the fullest potential, but at this time, it is mediocre and overpriced for what you get. Updated review!! I was being pretty nice at the beginning of the review, but I’m not sure if it’s the residents or the staff, but here we are weeks later and the gates are still not closed! They push improvements and renovations back week on end, not to mention maintenance saying they are going to fix something “tomorrow” and here it is 3 weeks later. This property is a training property as stated before, so staff will literally come and go, so don’t count on forming any relationships with people in the leasing office. I will continue to decrease my ratings on this apartment complex until everyone on here opens their eyes and LISTEN to the residents
I rent at Cypress at Stone Oak in San Antonio TX. I have been trying to get a water filter and my ice cube machine working since May. I understand there will be priorities, however after contacting the office numerous times I am blown off. First off when I moved in, there was security. It was a gated complex and the doors to the buildings were kept lock. In January the roof leaked in building 9 where I live. The neighbor next to me had water pouring down through her ceiling. We live on the 4th floor, and the water caused damage all the way down to the first floor. Needless to say, from early in the morning to 8pm at night, including weekends, I heard nothing but pounding and fire alarms going off. Residents got to the point where alarms were ignored, and we were prepared to have our water turned off because nails were pulled out of plumbing on a regular occurrence. Next our gates stopped working so they have been open for months and our building doors are proped open by rocks. Also building 9 is notorious for having its elevator break. One time it was out for 2 1/2 weeks. They just added a $48.00 for trash without notification, $24.00 for 4 or 5 garbage bags a month for valet service. That's more than what I paid for gas and electric a month. They call these luxury apartments but have failed to keep them up. Will all the little charges they have added my rent has gone up about $400.00 in 1 year. I am lucky I guess that my stove works, and my disposal too. My neighbor says hers has not worked in 8 month and and they tend to overlook her work order too!
Tenants main tenant requests are ignored. They only have 3 people who do maintenance out of 600 apartments. You will wait and you will be ignored. I’ve went the entire month of August with no A/C. My issues on my walk through were never fixed despite multiple meetings with them.
This property has really gone down since it was acquired by Connor Group. I made the worst mistake by signing an extended term lease with CWS when the property was managed by them and things were still going well. The property is poorly maintained, the staff is incompetent and the managers are always "new" so there's no accountability. Long time residents are vacating as soon as they are able to. Since the acquisition of the property by Connor Group, there have been numerous break-ins to mailboxes and parked cars. The complex is plagued with dirty carpets in the hallways, inoperable security cameras and gates, and pests. You are all but guaranteed to find a rat in the hallway at least one day out of the week. Please stay away from this property and heed the warning of us who cannot count the days until the end of our leases fast enough.
Since Connor Group took over this property ,nothing but problems. 1. Rodent infestation (Rats) 2. Non-existent Maintenance (never respond to requests) 3. Elevators unsafe 4. No security (Gates don’t have any) 5. No Management to speak of. 6. Force tenants to re-new leases- jack up rents 7. Bldg common areas not cleaned or maintained
Horrible services!! Lack of communication, poor customer services, filthy hallways and elevators. Dark stairs. Connor group needs to put attention on their employees. Front office people has poor service with their customers
The complex has changed multiple hands in 5 years due to maintenance issues. New management company is hiking up rates with little to no improvement. Apartment complex is old and gates are never working . Repairs are never done if requested and they simply do not respond if contacted. Stay as far are away as possible.
Don’t move into Bldg 8 . Horrible service , trash not picked up regularly, whole lobby needs re- painting, garage area not kept trash all over , landscape not there, Elevator needs updating …..
We have lived here over 2 years now and from day one the staff has been friendly and inviting and has made the transition to the apartment life such an amazing experience. The community is beautiful and the community are friendly and so inviting from day one. This community is located in the heart of Stone Oak and you are in the middle of so many things to do within a few minute drive to anything. We ?? The Marquis At Stone Oak.
