Property Ratings at Marquis Cross Mountain
Beautiful apartment community nestled in the hills above San Antonio. Allie and her leasing team are incredibly kind and work hard to ensure a safe and welcoming property. Thomas and Eriq are the best technicians and the residents are very lucky to have such a diligent and timely crew. In the rare event of a maintenance request, the techs are out to the apartment in record time and get things back up and running! We're so happy we found Marquis Cross Mountain and it's an absolute pleasure to get to be a part of this community.

Yoli, the apartment manager, has failed to manage this property. There is LOTS of criminal activity as the gates are constantly broken so the criminals can come right in and out! Find a better place to live, as the "luxury" is 100% false advertising.

Hi there. We regret that you have not been satisfied with the service you have received while we've been upgrading our gate system. Our team works hard to ensure our community is a place where our residents feel comfortable and at peace. Please call or stop by the office at your convenience so we can address any additional concerns you may have.
Terrible community to live in. A lot of loud noises, and the leasing agents are the least bit helpful. Multiple car break ins, and dog poop left throughout the community. Stay away from this complex! Not to mention, all the extra fees, including a fee for package delivery. The management pretends that they want to resolve your concerns, but they do not.

I do not recommended this place. It's dated and not being kept up. The A/C breaks down constantly (3 work orders so far this year, and it's not even summer yet), and the old carpet is just nasty. Parking is awful for buildings 5, 6 and 7. Also, the office doesn't accept packages for residents. They require that we all enroll in a fee-based locker system for package retrieval. I was literally told that I couldn't have packages delivered to my own home unless I handed over my credit card to a third party.

We lived here for 2 1/2 years and when our lease was up, we moved into a rental home. After living in the rental home for one year we moved back because we missed the amenities, the great management, and the location being off the beaten path and out of traffic but having access to I 10 and 1604. The hiking trail, coffee house/ business center, grill and fireplace gazebo, clubhouse with kitchen, pool table and tv are all amazing. Management is quick to respond to help and kind and professional. It is a small community feel. Feels like home.
1. Mandatory Trash Service fee 2. Mandatory Pest Control fee 3. Package receptacle fee (no office hold) 4. Mandatory Renters Insurance (Fined if your paperwork is not on file) Pros: Maintenance staff, building grounds, location ( /-), construction quality Cons: • Automated billing (Conservice) will glitch and not submit ACH payment. • Application paperwork will require continual oversight (>5 days approval) • Office staff will offer verbal assurances with zero follow-through Anecdotal email (to Cross Mountain Office Manager): "Given the numerous issues we've encountered will billing via your "recommended" services, i.e. conservice, I think this is a rather unfair charge. The fact of the matter is that there has been zero lapse in coverage. Were we notified when the Conservice system failed to properly transfer funds on time? No. We've been paying rent manually ever since by check, which I've had to request sign receipts for every month. I fail to understand the rationale for a charge of this nature. It sounds to me as though Cross Mountain is attempting to profit upon a third party insurance provider, or by way of arbitrary paperwork management, which suffice to say has been poor thus far at best (e.g. Move in application approval process). I'd like to believe we're not being treated as a profit center, but rather as responsible Residents. ------------------------------------ In response to (email from Cross Mountain Management): "Please give us a call so we can discuss this matter. I don't think you lapsed. But, because you have your own insurance company not the one we recommend it is your responsibility to get us the declaration page. We like to send out a notice when we are made aware that it has expired as a courtesy." We recommend you put us as an interested party, hoping your provider will send us the "declaration" page at renewal. --------------------- Being emailed two weeks AFTER you want some form of arbitrary paperwork is a courtesy??? FAKE MANAGEMENT
I've lived in this apartment for two years and it was spotless when I moved out. I received my final bill from some person I've never heard of, informing me that they're keeping my entire deposit and charging me an extra $63.00. This place is a JOKE!!!! If you're planning on moving into this place, you'll have to park at the Valero across the street, because there isn't any parking available. Oh and you better get an alarm on your vehicle, because several cars have been broken into. Good luck with these shady people.
In my opinion they have the best value hands down in the area. Their unit includes washer/dryer. Fixtures are high end. Floor is wood looking vinyl and carpet in the bedroom. I love the tub- it's huge. I leased their smallest-cheapest unit and I am more than please with the space and the quality of workmanship. Loved that they also have balconies - without having to pay extra. I love everything about this place! As for the negative- hire more people in the office. There's always a line of customers waiting - especially on weekends- oh and more parking space.
Each time I drive home to The Retreat I am struck by how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful apartment complex. The drive up into Cross Mountain on Kyle Seale Parkway reminds me of California (but at a much lower price). The beautifully lighted and landscaped grounds with palm trees surrounding the pool elegantly welcome me home. The interior of the apartments equal the rest with luxurious finishes. With free yoga and circuit training classes, car washes on premises, a fabulous walking trail, and a management team which can't seem to do enough to please its residents, it is a joy to live here. I also love being a few miles from our highways with their noise and pollution but only 5 minutes to them for convenience.
I used to drive by these apartments every single day in awe of how beautiful they were. I finally went inside and my love for these apartments, the staff, and amenities grew. This is the best place to live in San Antonio. It is peaceful, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the amenities are amazing.
Retreat at Cross Mountain is an excellent place to live. We moved here from Maine and have received excellent customer service from the staff since day 1. The apartments are absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and have an amazing view. It's a small community that makes it completely safe and family friendly. By far, the best apartments we found in San Antonio!
OUR EXPERIENCE WAS AWESOME, KATHY WAS VERY HELPFUL!
I've lived all over, and this is actually the nicest place I've lived at. I've toured about every apartment around San Antonio and I can't find anything better. Absolutely love the hiking trail. The pool was heated all winter. Everyone else who lives here feels the same way from what I gather. Since I work from home, I feel like the staff are my coworkers, and there is plenty of room to spread out within wifi range. I don't give reviews lightly but I genuinely enjoy living here.
This is a wonderful place to live!! The staff is always friendly and professional. They are always on top of things. The grounds are well maintained and well managed. We LOVE living here!
Best decision I ever made! After many years of home ownership, we chose maintenance free living for a change. This luxury apartment home complex is very small (about 130 apartment homes) which makes for a very quiet neighborhood. The amenities make it feel like we live at a resort: pool with waterfall, coffee/business room; clubroom with kitchen and pool table; two grills; and a hiking trail. Two city parks are just around the corner. This is a country-feel residence with quick access to IH10 and Loop 1604. The management is awesome and quick to help if needed. They also do free yoga, pool parties, free mobile car washes...omg... totally do not want to leave. PS : top floor apartment homes have high ceilings which make for bigger feel and lots of natural light.
The location is amazing - out in the country overlooking hills, but only a five minute drive from La Cantera. Very quiet. Wonderful that garages are available with some of the apartments! Granite and bronze finishes, they offered me stainless steel appliances etc for $50 extra rent a week. Amazing storage rooms and cupboards available near your apartment - a major plus! Love the heated pool, although it is small. Very, very nice outside lounge with TV. Everything is clean even though there is some construction going on. Your rent money is going into the quality of the apartment, staff, and landscaping. And the staff? Warm, friendly, helpful. This was undoubtedly one of the best moves I've ever made.
Gorgeous floor plans! When you walk in, it feels more like a house or condo than an apartment. Granite countertops! Beautiful views! I originally wanted to get the A1 but I chose the A4 because of the hill country view.
