Property Manager at Martha Lake, Responded To This Review
Lindsey are team are so grateful for your review, THANK YOU! They are happy to be of service. - SRG Residential Customer Care
The other review mentioning a one month wait for maintenance was an optimistic view. I've had a closet door that fell apart due to poor craftsmanship that has been in the hallway for 4 months that we have sent 5 emails about (all ignored, guess they don't know how to email) and spoke to the manager in person multiple times. We successfully scheduled a few times for them to come check out and fix the door, and every time they failed to show up without any warning. I get being busy if its a week or two, but this is ridiculous. The construction for the last few months also shows how much the management cares about new residents rather than the ones they have. We have not been allowed to use out patio (10% of the square footage for my apartment) for the last 3 months with no end in sight. Over half of the free parking (which was already not nearly enough for the number of residents) has been taken by construction overnight and throughout the day, causing people to have to park in other apartment complexes. I've parked places that seem to be uninhabited by construction, only to wake up the next morning to a 10x10" bright green sticker on my front windshield that takes 15 minutes to clean off. Upside is that if you never need to talk to the management, and you pay for carport parking, the place is pretty quiet and liveable.
I have been here for almost a year, and I had a fairly decent experience overall. The worst issue I had was the management company changed halfway through my lease, didn’t tell anyone, the website was down for over a month so we couldn’t pay rent that way, and no one reached out to tell us it would be an issue. I had a 12 month lease, I live in a non-renovated unit and they upped my rent $250 and refused to negotiate or lower it. Pros: Quiet Kind office staff (for the most part) Location Mostly very clean Cons: Shoddy work Over priced Maintenance will take a month to get to one small thing.
