The apartment was really clean and nice I would have to say no very happy about trying to get my deposit back when I left they will always try and find something to keep your money. just a heads up for ever leaves.
Renting with Martin Apartments was a great decision. The spacious High Pointe 2bdr has given me all the room i need for over 3 years! The building is cleaned regularly, maintenance is always prompt and effecient, and the management team is professional and polite always. Im extremely satisfied with my decision in choosing to rent with Martin Apartments.
I actually rented two different apartments both were very clean and well-kept. The people on the front office were very nice and helpful and the small maintenance things I did have were taken care of very quickly. Great place, would stay here again!
These apartments ar not managed well at all. The call buttons to utilize as a door bell dod not work at all. If you want a pizza or expect a guest...you better be on the lookout because none of the buzzers work. I also paid a hefty pet deposit for my dog which wore a bark collar during my very brief times away. I recieved a very rude and threatening email with these people accusing my dog with which I replied how my dog had a bark collar and I was aware of 3 dogs 2 floors above me were very prone to barking. The reply was they would listen for themselves at which point I just received I'm sorry as a reply. Everything is very old and rickety in these apartments and when I needed something fixed they accused me of trying to fix it and charged me $75 when I did not try and do anything. These people know their apartments are crap and are trying to nickel and dime me for everything they can think of when I had it cleaned professionally upon my departure.

The apartments are okay and the neighbors were quiet. My main issue is that they apparently reserve the right to deduct from your security deposit even when you clean and vacuum the unit. It's a dishonest practice, but I don't think tenants have a lot of rights in Missouri. If you decide to rent from them, that's fine but everything should be documented and photographed/videotaped, and don't expect to get a deposit back. Also, rent a unit on the upper level as they have fewer bug problems.
The owners will charge you for everything and you won't see a penny of your deposit back. Constant smell you'll never get rid of. Too small and cramped and they lie about the square footage. I measured it and they were off by 100 feet, which doesn't seem like a lot, but I was in the supposedly 470 sq ft apartments. It was actually a lot smaller. Don't rent from them.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DO NOT LEASE FROM HERE!!!! I leased through them, lesson learned, do your homework and listen to the reviews! They are very rude and think that you're just a payment to them, especially Tina, gave me complete attitude for no reason. My room was supposedly clean...HA! There was dog hair everywhere! They must have broken vacuums. Lawn care...ha, it takes them until the grass is halfway up your calf. There is dog poop everywhere. This is not a healthy place to live. The fees they have are a complete joke as well. I cleaned my apartment to almost move in ready and I was still charged a few hundred dollars. Please heed my advice and the advice of others, you can pay a little more and get a lot more in return. Save your money!
This complex is relatively clean and the management keeps up with things, but the units haven't been updated in at least 20 years ... The appliances operate properly, but are from the 80s. Linoleum, particle board countertops, but again, relatively clean. There's a pool (4 feet deep entirely) that is relatively clean, but the pool house is perpetually locked and used to store various flotsam. Oil stains on the parking lot, hauling your garbage 400 yards to the dumpsters, you know. It's okay. Safe, nice tenants, usually quiet. But, eh.
