Property Ratings at Marymount Manor
It seems to me a very nice place with reasonable prices, the interior of the apartment is the most spacious you will find in the whole city, the administration and staff are very friendly people who are willing to help at all times. I recommend it if you are thinking of moving.
Where to start? Disgusting and poorly maintained laundry room. Always machines broken. Elevators that are constantly out of service. When entering from the parking lot you walk through swarms of flies You WILL share your space with rats and cockroaches. Filthy hallways, not sure when it was last shampooed. Poor maintenance service. Can provide photographs

Hello, I am so sorry to hear about your experience with our property. We are happy to announce that we are now under new management and we hold all the needs of our tenants to a high priority. We hope that you would consider a tour of the new and improved property. Thank you for being a former tenant. Marymount Apartments (650)368-7726
I lived here before and let me tell you. Never, ever in my life had experienced this kind of unprofessional management in another apartment buildings. If Javier stills the manager there he's the worst and treats tenants like garbage and the most important. Whole Apartment building is infested with roaches and thicks that will eat you alive. This problem has been going on for years and years and owner doesn't do anything about it. When I left I had to throw away all my furniture and start somewhere else from zero and if you go and complain with management they will blame you for the infestation but reality is that everybody has the same problem and I don't think it's fair for other people to pay this much on rent to live like that.
I lived here for more than a year. I have to say it was a great place to live in. The location is perfect, so close to downtown Redwood City and right next to the 101. The neighborhood is very quiet and the walls in the apartment building are very thick so they isolate noise very well. They have a pool dishwasher and a laundry room which is hard to find in these competitive price ranges. Javier the apartment manager is very friendly and treats you like a person. Any problems I had with my apparent he fixed it the next day no problem. I enjoyed my time living in this apparent complex!
The manager is absolutely horrible with customer service. He speaks over you and is nothing more than rude. I was considering this place simply because it is a beautiful complex but if this is how the management staff treats their potential residents, I can only imagine how current residents are treated. Will not be considering this location in future searches.
I was a fresh graduate and new professional. This was the perfect first home away from home. It is conveniently located right next to the 101 N/S entrances as well as only 4 blocks from downtown in a thriving city. Often times, I just walked downtown to save the hassle of parking. Most of the community consist of young families whom are considerate of noise at late hours. This also made me feel safe in the community which was absolutely crucial, being a young lady living on my own. Any work orders I submitted were resolved within 24 hours or less. This gave me peace of mind in case a real emergency occurred, I could count on their quick service. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend renting here to anyone whether you are a couple of students, a small family, newly weds, or new professional.
Awesome resident. The Manager Javier provided excellent customer service. Any questions or concerns were addressed immediately. They have a Superb maintenance crew. Highly recommend this complex. If you're looking for a new place to call home this is the place.
THIS IS A WONDERFUL COMMUNITY I'VE LIVED HERE ALMOST 3'YRS,, STAFF IS WONDERFUL, JAVIER THE MGR IS VERY PROFESSIONAL THE GROUNDS ARE WELL KEPT, MY 1 BDR APT IS HUGE, PATIO HUGE, THERE IS A HUGE POOL FOR SUMMER ...COZY KITCHEN. JUST ALL AROUND A NICE PLACE TO COME HOME TOO AFTER A LONG DAY OF WORK, EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY,,,,LAUNDRY ONSITE, GARAGE'S ELEVATOR, MOST IMPORTANT,,,, BANKS ,STORE, HOSPITAL...A 5 MIN WALK TO DOWNTOWN REDWOOD CITY,,,,,,WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR???? KUDO'S MARYMOUNT MANOR
I lived here with my boyfriend for the past year and it was a great experience! The apartment complex itself is within walking distance of the heart of Redwood city, where you can find a plethora of things to do! The leasing manager, Javier, is also a wonderful individual. He always helped us with anything if we ever had a question or concern. The concrete walls in the apartment complex are also great because you can't hear anything outside of the apartment. There are elevators placed on each side of the apartment complex, which is an EXTREME plus for moving in and move out! I definitely recommend living here if you're looking to live in the middle portion of the peninsula!!
I have lived here over 10 years and this place is awesome to live , its close to downtown redwood city where there is a new movie theater, new stores, new restaurants and greocery stores near by. The staff at Mary Mount are nice and friendly, The manager Javier is awesome and very helpful and friedly guy , the maintenace guy Jose is great he will help you with all you needs. The apartments are nice clean and roomy And most apartments have a nice big balcony and storage area. Parking is great to, you get a carport or a garage! Wow most apartments don't have that feature. Stop by and visit this place if you are looking for a great place to live.
this place is awesome ive been here over a year Javier the manager is very attentive and approchable his maintenance staff is great and gets the job done quickly apts are spacious grounds are clean, this is a secure complex close to everything including downtown, people are friendly here,,come see
I regret the day moving here. The manager is rude and doesnt know how to talk to the residents. The place is very noisy...if you have an complaint dont even bother to report it because all youll get is disrespect from the manager infront of other people. I cant wait to move out!!!
I stayed here for 3 years and leaving because I'm moving out of California. I also lived here in 2012 for about 8 months with a different manager. I liked this place because it had spacious apartments with nice carpeting, good insulation, additional storage space and dedicated parking spots. With the new manager, I also enjoyed good response to the occasional problems like toilet clogging or locked out without my keys. It was also a perfect place for me because it was located between my wife's work and mine. It is walking distance from downtown. Rent in the bay area is not stable, so it's annoying when it goes up but not surprising. Importantly, it's still one of the affordable apartments in Redwood City.
If you really want to live close to city, and on the center of the bay and also pay less, this is the perfect place for you, nice size bedrooms, free utility's and awsome management, thanks to a professionals like a Javier I spent some awsome time there I will recommend evry one to check them out. Nabil
This apartment is just perfect! Affordable and reasonable rates. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, you feel safe once you come home. The rooms are spacious and I love the patio especially at night. So relaxing! What's best is it's close to where I work, so I save a lot on gas.The manager is just awesome! He is very helpful and kindhearted. He is very quick to take action on requests like repairs.Good job Javier! Keep it up!
I was staying at their sister property next door (Marymount Tower) apartments this past year. It has been a wonderful experience for me with the management and service staff. Very responsive to service requests and any repairs would be addressed within 24 hours. The building is very quite and concrete walls make it a good comfortable residence! I have to move because of a new job, otherwise wouldn't ever - considering the price and quality they offer vs the rest of bay area. Definitely a value for money deal especially in this unaffordable rental market.
Marymount is really a good place to live , they have nice elevator nice room , nice kitchen , the best thing is their service is so good , Javier is a helpful and friendly person , he helped me a lot with the paper work , and me and my girlfriend are international students , he gave us a lot help to let us easy to live I. Marymount , thanks a lot !
We have lived here for over 9 yrs and are very sad we are moving. We are only leaving due to our expanding family. Javier the property manager is so friendly and on top of things. As soon as you tell him any issues he gets them taken care of. You cant find another manager as wonderful. The apartments are a great size and in a perfect location to the downtown. We are going to miss this place.
I've lived on both coasts, the tri state area in NY and Southern and Northern California. I love love love Javier. He is the best property manager I've come across. He is knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and makes your move smooth. Once you move in, he'll pop his head in to make sure you have all you need. The apartments are huge and have plenty of space for all your stuff and the balcony is a nice size. You do your part and management does their part. Moving is the worst part of anyone's life but dealing with Javi is a God send.
