Property Ratings at Maude Urban Living
You may be able to find better amenities and more living space elsewhere for a similar cost, the location of this property is unbeatable. It is in close proximity to the Link, supermarkets and parks. Additionally, the leasing office and maintenance team are both very responsive and friendly.
I lived in Maude for a year and recently moved out. I had a great experience here, and I would give the complex a 4.5 out of 5 rating. The location of the complex is convenient. It's close to Roosevelt and has easy access to many good restaurants and bars. The experience with the management team is positive - they were always friendly and responsive to any issues or concerns. Maintenance requests were always taken care of promptly. The only downside I experienced was the occasional noise from your neighbors. However, this happens all the time if you are living in an apartment complex I guess.
I have lived here almost a year and will be moving out soon. I must say this apartment was a last minute rushed decision and when I was trying to apply for a unit I had so many problems with the management telling "oh that one's gone, oh now that one's gone. They go really fast," Already off to a bad start I guess. This place is very expensive for such a tiny little living space but it did the job. People keep to themselves for the most part but be warned that the walls are THIN and doors slam HARD. Scares me every once in a while. My biggest complaint would have to be the absolutely atrocious conditions of the laundry facilities. I have never had more problems doing laundry than I have had at this complex. This is a pet friendly complex and with that comes LOADS of animal hair build up in the washers and dryers. Tenants do not care and do not clean up after themselves. Management does absolutely nothing about this (other than bring someone to clean once a week) and if you express concerns, they send out "friendly reminder" emails. Happy to be leaving to say the least.
Property Manager at Maude Urban Living, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for leaving an honest review about your experience at Maude Urban Living. We are so sorry that your overall experience was only 3-stars and that you were happy to leave. We certainly strive to provide the utmost service and experience to our residents and we are sorry that we failed to do this for you. Being a pet-friendly building, pet hair can be a constant issue and we have implemented, and are implementing, different ways of containing this issue and minimizing the disturbance to all residents. As for the noises that scared you, we do have building-wide quiet hours that should prevent such noises from happening and we are so sorry that this was not an effective system during your time at Maude. Again, we appreciate your review and comments and they will certainly help us improve the living environment for future residents. Thank you, The KPNW Team
For anyone that has a car and is looking for an apartment in the Seattle area (parking garage or parking on the street), you won’t find it at Maude for a long long time. I wish I had the ability to add pictures... NOT CAR FRIENDLY. When I first moved in on May 2018, I was informed that the apartment had off site parking and that construction was going to be done across the street sometimes near September 2018. It is now well into March 2019 and they are not done with the project. And on the same street (67th St.), they have started a new construction project right next door. I was not informed about this new construction development and this most likely would have changed my choice in living have I had known... but why would they tell me? It’s been a massive headache with workers parking on the street as well as big equipment making loud noises. Days before moving in, I was notified that the apartment had sold their off-site parking lot. How convenient!!! Now I don’t have parking on my own street due to construction and now I have to park several blocks away because of no offsite parking. Feel free to drive by Roosevelt and 67th and you’ll know what I mean. At least it’s good to know that the apartment is “sorry for my inconvenience” after bringing some of my challenges up to management. So I have decided to review :) Workers also leave trash everywhere making it a very pretty place to live. Save yourself the hassle and stress of living in this area and find a new place. And find an apartment that’s willing to be honest to you, no matter what...

Thank you for your feedback on the property and areas of concern. We don’t have any control over the construction projects in the area unfortunately, but we sympathize with your frustration. Any issues should be submitted through your resident portal so we can better address them. We will follow up in an email to address all of your concerns as well. Thank you, Keystone Properties NW
