With its fascinating blend of old-world charm and modern verve, Downtown Burlington is both historic and progressive. This walkable neighborhood has something for everyone -- shopping at the Burlington Downtown Depot, the historic carousel at City Park, plays at the historic Paramount Theater, lunch at Danny's Café, a night out at the Rusted Bucket Tavern. Downtown Burlington is working toward becoming more bicycle-friendly, with plans to expand the Greenway & Bikeway underway.
Downtown Burlington provides a variety of ways to get around, from walking and bicycling to riding the Link Transit bus to taking the Amtrak train from Burlington Station, located off East Market Street downtown. As the city hub, several festivals and events are held in Downtown Burlington.

Property Ratings at May Hosiery Lofts
Living here the past two years was amazing and was bittersweet when I was having to relocate for work! I moved from a location where safety was an issue and so when May Hosiery opened their doors I jumped at the opportunity to be in a more secure location! While living there neighbors have been beyond kind and friendly which helped create a sense of community! Management/maintenance have been so kind, friendly, informative, quick to action, inclusive and overall some of the best people to rent from! They take suggestions to heart and look for ways to better everyone's living experience with them! I also love that they're very cat/dog friendly! They recognize the importance of fur babies in their tenants lives! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a secure, strong community, and they will be pleased to know that every penny is worth it!
This is the first place I got after moving out of my parents’ home. I’ve been living here over a year with my best friend. The management is the best! As well as the maintenance. Ally is very sweet and talking to her is like talking to a friend not an apartment manager. She’s very understanding as well. Damen is patient and very helpful, I had an emergency maintenance issue and he had to come in on his day off and he was happy to help and didn’t make me feel like a burden at all. The neighbors are nice and sociable. The loft often hold social events like movie nights, food truck days, and free slushees. I’ve met many of my neighbors at these events and enjoyed being around them and getting to know them more. I’ve even become close friends with a few that I met at a movie night. They’re very pet friendly here as well. They have a dog park and I was allowed to adopt a bunny while staying here. I love inviting friends over and having a function on the rooftop with the fireplace and grill or downstairs in the clubhouse playing pool and watching tv. I look forward to continuing to stay here and enjoy my home.
Great location within walking distance of everything in downtown Burlington. Amenities and high end products used in the apartments are great! Staff was always polite and helpful responding quickly to any needs!
