Property Ratings at Maywood Apartments
They took months to give me back my security deposit and my roommate still hasn't gotten his. Know plenty of people having the same issues currently and in the past with these guys. They'll act all nice and fake to you but do not let it fool you their only interest is money and taking 2 hour lunch breaks during work hours.
I stayed at 51 E John St. for 2 months over this summer, taking over a lease from someone else. I stayed in a 4-bedroom apartment, with two other housemates that I didn’t know. I had the luxury of getting there first, so I didn’t have to share one of the two bathrooms. The kitchen is spacious, with two refrigerators, and tons of counter space. The bathroom is similarly large. the washer and dryer are extremely effective and easily accessible. The hallways in the building are open to the outside, which means that there is excellent ventilation in the entire apartment and smells from cooking do not stick around. The water quality is very good. In terms of the management, they were absolutely wonderful; when I was moving out, they let me have my pick of the items that had been left behind when people left - I got a vacuum :) they were extremely helpful and friendly people at every opportunity! My very very minor nitpicks: the TV in the apartment is a large android TV, which is mounted somewhat too high on the wall. The back of the device is almost completely inaccessible, and it took getting help from friends to take it down to get an HDMI cable into it. This was the essentially the only annoyance I had the entire time. In a review of a furnished apartment, I think it’s useful to list the additional furniture I bought. I got a table and chairs for on the balcony, a small table for next to the bathtub, and a large trash can for in the kitchen. I also had to buy a wifi router, but the internet there was already taken care of- not sure if by the previous tenant or by the building. All in all, this is an excellent property which I would have happily stayed in if I had not had another place lined up!
The management is second to none at the Maywood. Anytime you need something or have questions, they're more than happy to help. Courtyard and balconies provide plenty of fresh air and you have to love when management provides you with complementary breakfast or lunch. I would totally recommend living here.
The staff is very friendly and helpful! Pet-friendly apartments, and very convenient/close to campus! Amenities are great, staff frequently provides food/snacks in the lobby! Great place overall!
This is a fantastic apartment building! The gym is great, the people are a respectable and the pets my neighbors have really brighten up the day. Management is really involved in everything regarding the apartment since the leasing office is in the lobby of the building so they are very attentive to the upkeep and activities the tenants have going on. In that regard, they always have awesome events or lunch for the tenants on special occasions. Great Apartment, out of the 4 apartments I've had, Maywood has been the best by far. My apartment was outstanding.
Really spacious rooms to begin with. The employees here are fast with helping fix things in the apartment and very understanding to any issues experienced. They also leave snacks out everyday as well as special treats on certain days. The contests for holidays are also fun. Most importantly my neighbors are great. No loud noises, minus the weekend and often help with packages and things like that. Great place to live.
Maywood is such a great building. I love how they offer snacks in the morning and the Keurig in the lobby is so convenient.
Maywood APTS are overall great. The building is in a perfect location right next to all the bars and busses. The apartments are spacious and look very nice and modern. Staff is also super friendly and maintenance fixes what needs to be fixed very quickly.
Awesome place to live near campus. Management is very helpful and always have a positive attitude. Very well kept and amazing price for what you get compared to other places closer to campus. I wouldn't live anywhere else and will release my contract until I graduate.
Luxury design apartments. Great location. Free coffee. Superb Staff (much love to Chris, Mike, and Jay). what more could you ask for? Make Maywood your next home.
The staff is very nice, spacious apartments with new appliances!
I’ve been living at Maywood for about 7 months and I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy living here! When thinking about the space this apartment gives you, it is unmatched in my opinion. The rooms are spacious, there’s more than enough closet space, and cabinet space in the kitchen! There’s even two fridges which is always a conversation started when we have someone new come to our apartment. When any minor issue happens in our apartment, maintenance is very timely and respectful when entering our apartment. Over the staff is amazing, specifically Kris! She is an absolute gem in terms of this apartment. She does so many fantastic activities for the residents whether it’s homecoming weekend, dads weekend, or resident appreciation week! She likes to celebrate the holidays which is something I can say I truly do love when being away from home! Highly recommend and I would resign if I wasn’t leaving! This apartment has made senior year amazing!
I love the fact they always offer snacks in the morning and the rent is fairly cheap for the location
Nice sized apartments and good location on campus.
Nice good looking spacious apartment. Snacks available every morning! And occasional lunch available in the lobby. Very close to campus!
They always had coffee in the lobby and the gym was fantastic! Maintenance was already timely with an fixes and the whole staff was very kind and friendly. The unground parking is another huge plus as well
Nice, newly renovated units. The maintenance crew takes care of things in a timely matter. Many times throughout the year the staff provides free food and drinks to tenants. Enjoyed my time at Maywood.
The perks are great! They have a great exercise room and always have coffee in the lobby. Everyone that works there is pleasant and friendly to be around!
The management here is the absolute worst, don’t let the amenities fool you because it isn’t worth the hassle!
My roommate and I were charged an outrageous bill in electric overcharges, but Sheri (the new apartment manager) went above and beyond to help us find the issue. She was extremely helpful throughout the stressful issue and we were thankful to have a manager that cared and did all she could to resolve our problem. The staff is very helpful, the rent is reasonable for what you get, and my roommate and I are pleased with our decision to live here.
The old management for last year was a little stressful, but the new management is very helpful in getting all of your issues resolved.
