Property Ratings at Meadow Ridge Apartments -
They don't fix anything if they do they just slap a bandage over it, our roof in the bathroom caved in from the rain and everytime the office is contacted they either hangup or don't answer. Also the mice and roach problems here are horrible. I don't suggest this apartment complex to anyone.
I’ve lived here 2 1/2 years, since Mars took over last December, I’ve had nothing but trouble. It’s 109°F and Meadow Ridge Apartments can’t keep either of their pools clean. Between the maintenance team lying about the AC unit working for six weeks and running my electric up $500 over the same March-April-May period last year, to the hot water being out two dozen times, to now the pool not being maintained in the summer, MARS Residential has does done a horrible job taking over managing this place.
Even with new management the complex still sucks! I’ve been asked to be put on the pest control list for every Tuesday because no matter how much I clean the water bugs are still very prevalent as if they pay rent! I literally see a water bug everyday. Everyone in the office is rude! Due to new management the portals have switched over and when I called the office to get some info they wouldn’t give me any because I hadn’t paid rent, if that was the case why hadn’t I got a notice? Ladies in the office refused to give me corporates number or email.
I was supposed to move in December 9th I paid $500 down with a receipt and I also had my apartment number and my signed lease contract the day I went to move in they told me they couldn’t find my lease, application, nor my receipts for the $500 . The lady was very rude and disrespectful and not once apologized nor tried to see where my money went . ITS VERY SAD AND DISGUSTING. !!!!
The maintenance and office staff here are absolutely horrible. They ignore your calls and emails for days/weeks, when you finally can get a hold of them they do nothing for you and they always have bad attitudes about what your calling them for. They are always sending out messages complaining and threatening to charge people ridiculous fees over parking, animals and trash ect. but yet they do not do their jobs whatsoever. The apartments look nothing how they look in the pictures displayed please do not be fooled. The outside of the complex is very dirty and not kept up at all. The inside had carpet ripped up, broken windows, nasty brown stuff leaking under the sink all in the first day i moved here. The water gets shut off randomly with absolutely no notice sometimes hot water just doesn’t work at all with no explanation from the maintenance or office people. I absolutely hate living here and i cannot wait to leave i know the rent is cheap but its not worth all the crap you will have to put up with and extra charges for THEIR mistakes.

The internet sucks here. The internet download average is 10mbs upload is 20mbs and it gets worse when everyone is on.
We originally moved here due to the extremely cheap rent, and immediately understood why. The area is dangerous, our apartment is infested with roaches, there are zero (usable) amenities, the pool has been closed since we've moved in, several of our neighbors have been broken into, there are often homeless people roaming in between buildings, the water foams and often has tiny granules (maybe sand?) in it. When we moved in, there wasn't a single room that didn't require repairs, our keys didn't work (for the property, mailbox or front gate). It has, at times, taken weeks for any maintenance request submitted through the front office to get any attention. They fired their security company several months ago and have not replaced them. I cannot recommend moving here at the current time.

We had no intentions of moving in. everything it broken, trashy, ant beds and cats everywhere, tennis court has no net and they have no intentions of putting up a new one, there's hardly any visitor parking, pot holes every where, window units, broken blinds, exposed wires, handy cap spots are a joke (they just picked a spot and painted the blue square, no ramp or extra room to get out on either side for most of the "handy cap" spots) hot water is a joke, takes over 10 minuets to get warm, not hot, warm, so of course the shared water bill will be jacked up even when you're never home and your neighbors are. Why did we move in? well we where promised a no deposit move in so we thought. ok this place sucks like HARD CORE! but we can save that money and this place could actually just be a blessing to us. A month after move in they insist that we didn't tell them that we had pets when we have never ONCE hid to any complex that we have lived in about our cats. and instead of honoring THEIR mistake and to keep their resident happy and with a good review. The greedy money shark decided a few hundred bucks it worth more than our happiness and then their good review. So move here, don't move here, I don't care. I just want to make sure you see everything and not just what they want you too see before making your decision.
I’ve lived here going on my third year lease. When I first moved in I saw a bug every now and then and then when new management came over a year ago I have not seen even one single bug or rodent. They clean my carpets every year & take great care of me. It’s a bad area period, so they hired security and he drives around all night long. It’s helped a lot with car break ins and what not. Office staff is very friendly and attentive and the maintenance guys are very sweet. I think usually pissed off people wrote reviews and not the happy ones. Water was always cold until new management had it fixed and now I never have an issue with it. I plan on staying a while longer. It’s huge and cheap.
I have lived here for almost 3 years. I have referred a lot of people to live here. It is very quiet and the maintenance people have always responded in a timely manner. The property has new owners and has seen a lot of very needed renovations. I have never had a problem with vandalism or theft, thank God! The room that you get is great for the price and you won't get better than this. A home is what you make it and this has been a good home for me. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. Thank you Meadow Ridge, for being my home for the last 3 years. ;)
Just finished lease. Water off constantly, no notice given, lived several months with no security or gates working during the last six months of me living there. Now I am paying for the wster they used to clean my apartment because my lease runs through the 31st of May. We paid the rent through the end of the month, turned in our keys prior to the 31st but have to pay for everyone else’s water through the 31st because that is when our lease ends. Also feel we paid for all the water leaks and lack of water. Went three months without hot water with no relief on the water bill or rent. This does not include the ant hill I lived on for the last year I lived there without them exterminating them. Hope the carpenter ants don’t eat the wood to the point the building falls down.
I've been living here for about 9 months now and I really enjoy it. The neighborhood is really quiet and nice. The people at the front office are always nice and maintenance always responds quickly if I need something fixed. The only downside is if you have dirty neighbors, they will attract roaches to you, no matter how clean you keep your apartment. If you're looking for your own place and on a budget, I'd recommend this complex :)
Apt is nice I love how their are two steps up to the kitchen area and a separate room that could be used as a bedroom. However I don't like how the rent is handled, you either have to take off from work to pay rent or pay via internet, their are no mail slits/box to put the rent in.
The worst apts ever. I'm a first time renter so I thought meadowridge would be a great place to start. WRONG. I've been at meadowridge for going on 5 months on a 6 months lease. The First 2 weeks no AC since then my AC has went out 5x's . I put in work orders and it takes them 3 days to come out and look at it.I would also like to mention the Roach Infestation as well, as the rodents. I caught 3 mouse on one sticky pad mousetrap and the roaches are everywhere. I don't even feel comfortable cooking in my own kitchen. Meadowridge apartments are the most discussing apartments EVER I would NEVER recommend to Anyone.
Bed bugs, rats, roaches , cold water and more... The apartment complex was ok last year but we've recently changed MANAGEMENT and they sent us A PEON. I told the office I had a rat in my apartment and they never sent an exterminator. The actual exterminator for the apartments is lazy and doesn't spray so the roaches are at an all time high. if you're willing to live with bugs and rodents. We no longer have hot nor warm water it's only Cold and the pressure sucks. Maintenance is lazy. They painted my tub and didn't cover it so Everytime I take a shower paint was sticking to my body. I scraped the paint out of my tub. Even though I sent millions of request for them to. This is a terrible place to bring your children. They don't care about the health of the community. Sincerely, A person that pays all of their bills and still has to deal with this terrible property management.
The front desk lady is completely rude! Called to make a work order and was waiting for her to have everything ready and ask for the apartment number and she said, "well... if you dont tell me the apartment number I can't make the work order!" Hellooo, I'm waiting for you to say you're ready! I've been having constant problems with the AC and told them that I keep having the same problem to see if they can do anything about that, she said, " Did they already come to your apartment?""Well if they don't go to the apartment then obviously it would still be the same." Like really, I'm trying to tell her that I need someone else to take a look at my AC! Also found a mice, went to tell them so that they can close a hole we found because we have kids and kids touch everything! She said, "you know you can go to walmart and buy them glues for the mice!" Lady, that's your job, i didn't move and bring the mice in my boxes! Either way we bought the glue because they didn't come that same day. And so much more problems, only thing that I love is my neighbors. By the way, it's June 30 and the pool hasn't been opened, people got the pool dirty and now we all have to pay for it and they have 2 pools and only open one. Many roaches, the carpeting is horrible, nails come out of it and the carpet rises. We had to fix the carpet ourselves because the carpet guy said that the cement is so old that it breaks. The guy really had no idea how to fix it. He just put nails in and jammed them and a day later they came out. My son could've stepped on a nail. My car got towed because I put more then one pass. Sometimes there's no hot water and to get the hot water i have to turn the sink on too. Have 2 cracked windows since I moved in and the curtains in the living room are old, when they break they just turn it upside down and make a new hole. And there's more but I'll leave it at that!
Do not live here. I recently just caught 12 mice and counting in my apartment. They wont do anything about it either. Roaches are also extreme here.
This place is a joke. First lets start with the management and lets start by laughing because there really is no management. No one does anything about any problems you have, they hang up on you if you annoy them with your problems (I've experienced this first hand) they cycle through employees in the office about every month. Just when you start to like someone that's working there BOOM their gone. It's makes you wonder why.... they always lose packages and they always have a bad attitude. Secondly I'll mention the maintenance. They also don't do anything nor do they speak English. When problems occur i.e. rodents in our roof (he claims they're just cats), leaking sinks, etc. He says and i quote "well I don't see a problem now so there's nothing to fix" when he hasn't even turned the water on or listened for the rodents running around. When you do request maintenance expect to wait at least 3 hours no matter how big of an issue it is or if its an emergency. The laundry rooms are always out of order and completely trashed and also infested with bugs. The only time the laundry room is semi decent is a few days after you call and complain because it disgusts you to even walk in there. Our heater goes out in the winter and we're in a 40 degree apartment and the air goes out in the summer and we're in a 90 degree apartment with a maintence team unmotived to do anything. The water is shut off ALL the time and their excuse is always "yeah there's a problem in the boiler room but they're working on it" while showering the water will get freezing cold or scolding hot out of nowhere and the bathtubs are disgusting. Furthermore this place is infested with cockroaches, bedbugs and mice. Every time someone moves out they have to leave their furniture behind in the dumpsters or else they risk taking these nasty pests into a new home with them. This place is a total dump. It looks nothing like the images above, the swimming pool is absolutely disgusting i have yet to see someone in it in the year that I've lived here. They will show you a model of the place you're interested in with nice counters and paint, clean floors and carpets and it'll seem perfect. But the actual place you'll end up in is the complete opposite. Do i even have to give this place a star?
Update. 0 of 5 actually. These apartments have been considered condemned according to the post office because of mold and infestation. But I'm giving them a 0 because the leasing office gave out my personal information and now every friday i receive a call from some random person stating that they will be in my apartment on tuesday. All the leasing office has to say is well sorry its not us calling. That issue is not resolved going into month 2 with the phone calls. Last week 5/27/2017 electrical caught fire in the bathroom due to faulty wiring and the mold, the no hot water, bedbug, roaches, and the rats outside that look like cats. Dishwasher doesnt work still I have been here a year. They also have towed my car 3 times in the last 4 months only because the leasing went over on punching the hole on the parking permit. Leasing office states that they want me to pay an additional 50.00 for a new parking pass therefore I park on the street on the outside of the gate. Very unclean and unsafe. I have pics also. Chanel Strange in the last week Roach Heat Hotel All appliances are least my age or older. Carpet is just the top portion not new no cushion like walking on concrete. DAY1 Cool air no roaches np DAY2,3,4-20 Found out I had roommate in the fridge, the bathroom, dining & no air. DAY21 Finally A.C. but Dishwasher doesn't work was told to run hot water for 2 hours in order to make it work DAY22 No A.C. no maintenance & 6 hours later after running this nonlukewarm water in kitchen DW still doesn't work DAY23-25 Buckled come in apt spraying roaches & they said exterminated DAY26 Finally A.C. DAY27 Roaches in Fridge found more nesting in the shower DAY28 Roaches in bed & no A.C. DAY29 Praying for DAY 364 and still counting. DAY30 In the leasing office listening to bed bug complaints from other tenants. Still waiting on hot water and hot water. Was told they don't offer new appliances this place is a scam.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Middle of Summer and have had no air for going on a week, called office/emergency maintenance numerous times with no answer or call back. Call from and unknown number and they answer before first ring, only to tell me its been fixed when it hasnt, i ask for corp. number and they gave me a random number. Now will not answer the phone from any phone number ive previously called from and when i get a new number they hang up on me. Then they tell me to go home and wait inside and see if the air is working when its over 90 inside. Now i have nowhere to sleep, and noone to call to get it fixed
Where to begin? This place has been absolutely horrid since I first moved in. The only reason I bothered staying for 1.5 years was because of how much cheaper it was compared to other apartments in the area. Maintenance is awful; none of them speak English well either. Just this week my sink pipes burst and started flooding my kitchen floors so when I call the front office for help they say "we'll make an appointment"- Still no one has shown up to fix it and I ended up using a plug to stop the water flow myself. Garbage disposal has been broken since I moved in, still hasn't been fixed. Hot water is 50/50 unless you want to wait 10 minutes for it to get hot, but by then they will charge you extra for excessive water usage. The roaches are never going to leave no matter how clean, determined you are in ridding them. The front office has a sign-up sheet for weekly spraying but they either don't show up or they just "try" to rid them cause that all that is legally required of them. Luckily though never had problem with bed bugs/mice/etc. Neighbors are loud around the clock, sometimes have even heard fights, and death threats outside my window. My brother had to sell me a gun just so I could protect myself because of how scary the neighbors can be. Also someone broke into my car one time and stole a few small things including my work uniform; so I no longer keep anything in my car just in case, not even my registration. Lastly, every time I've been warned about my lease running out and how much it will cost to renew either for 6 months/12 months, the prices keep going up. I can still afford it but seriously? I've been on time with payments since the get go and they wont keep me grandfathered in? The only things I can really say are decent about the place is that there is plenty of parking (weekends can get kind of crowded at times but not bad) and that groceries and restaurants are within walking distance so it's easy for me to get dinner without having to drive all over. In reality though, if I could give negative stars.. this would easily be at -4 from me. Unless you're desperate and at the same time a single male with no kids. Please, please, PLEASE stay away from this place.
I stayed for 4 months before I had to go. Roaches every where, anyone and everyone can be approved and the property reflect that. I wouldn't even look twice at this property. If you have children stay far way from this place if you care about their safety.
HORRIBLE apartments. DO NOT move here. The water is not hot, they are infested with roaches, the oven does not work. The owners do not care. DON'T waste your money or time.
I recently moved here to find that the newly "renovated" apartments had several major things wrong with the complex. To name a few ROACHES, the AC did not work, loose facuet that sprays water every where, and an oven and stove that do not work. Also the windows that barely close correctly. To top every thing off apparently even if your guest has an upto date visitor pass, their car will still get towed.
The management and maintenence here is ridiculous. The crime scene is especially ridiculous. I moved here because with it being as cheap as it is, I thought I would be able to afford to stay here for some time, but it has been nothing but a complete nightmare since Day 1. I need to get out. The rent rate is not worth the pain. Please help me to be able to move!
The bedrooms are roomy for the good price and it's a really quiet environent, I've been here for 3 months now and I'm comfortable.
The availability shows now (7/23/15) leasing manager said 8/7. Blamed the site. No washer hookups, even though it says here they do. Picture of office isn't accurate.
Roaches galore, management doesnt fix anything also have drug dealers living on site and the managers know and do nothing. DO NOT RENT HERE.
