Property Ratings at Meadow Woods
No recomiendo solo te dan un parqueo si tienes mas de un carro tienes que buscar en la calle muy muy lejos NO RECOMIENDO este lugar
I’ve move here an year ago and was told they recently put carpet down which was a lie, Carpet was very worn out. They will also allow contractors in your home who will valet your space if you are not there, an or damage your furniture or belongings. They also used my bathroom without permission. Also the drug traffic in this neighborhood should not be allowed around children. I have found paraphernalia you search in the parking lot where kids can picked it up rental office never do anything but send out a letter for the buildings.
Building 3310 Lockheed Blvd isn’t a good building to live in.the building always smells bad You can hear dogs barking all night and day in your room you can’t sleep and I’m new in this building.
The only reason you will see positive reviews is because the staff post them. There was a murder here about two weeks ago so that should tell you the type of people living here. Also I have not seen an increase in security since that happened despite the need for it. I discovered that I have MICE In my place. Came out my bedroom and saw it run behind my refrigerator. I can still see the tail of the mouse on the side. I called the health department and apparently I am not the first to report them. But they told me I have to report to our place first and follow back if they don’t respond. So if want to move to a place with shady people, murders happening and MICE infestations...move to MEADOW WOODS. Even the health department has heard about them

Thank you for your review, we did fall victim to a crime recently, we immediately increased our patrols and remained in close contact with the Fairfax County Police Department who assured our residents via tweets and their website that there was no threat to the safety of the general public. As to the mouse situation, we would be happy to resolve that for you, simply contact our office so we may schedule our exterminator to check and treat your apartment. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you and thank you, again. Doreen, Property Manager
In all honesty, I rather live in the dumpster. You are definitely not getting what you deserve for the price you have to pay for. I have three huge issues that I want to explain in this review. Also I know I could go and file complaints on this, but based on previous reviews, the owner and staff management are useless. I live downstairs and my neighbors upstairs are completely psychopaths, literally. God knows how much kids are upstairs, I lost count after five. I can literally hear footsteps of them walking/running, endless crying 24/7, and loud thumps as if they are throwing weights on the grounds. All of these actions that I'm hearing is going out 24/7 nonstop. It makes my family and I insanely crazy. I have never experienced neighbors like this before, EVER! The parking system is rather useless than help. Every apt can only get a certain amount of parking passes, but it did not do its justice. Maryland license plates cars and company cars park here more than Virginia plates. You better park straight or else they will definitely scratch or hit your car on purpose, without caring at all. You will never find street parking at any time. The apt complex building is open to anyone whoever wants to enter. It is not very safe because homeless people and suspicious people are always in this buildings doing God knows what. The owner and staff management should really install a security system where you have to put a code to get into your apt. I'm doing this for everyone, as a favor for yourself/family/significant other/etc, please please please rent a different apartment complex, you will definitely be better off!

We are so sorry to hear that you have experienced such problems after moving in, we would be more than happy to resolve your concerns. Please contact me directly at the rental office as I can certainly help with the noise issue you mention. We are here to make your stay with us a pleasant one, so please do contact us immediately. Thank you.
First of all, I would like to let you know that this was my worst nightmare move here. When I moved in, first week I had bed bugs that I never had in any other apartment complexes I ever lived. Everyday I used to wake up with huge red spots on my body that didn't go away for several days and believe me or not the way it itches for several days is unbelivable. I had to live in the living room for 2 months while they treated the bedroom. After that there were roaches coming out of everywhere, I was not that scared of roaches, because I didn't want to live in the living room for another couple of months. After that there were mice running around, which I had to let the leasing office know, they came a week later and put some poison to kill it. Prior to move out I cleaned the whole apartment, which was easy because I used to keep the apartment clean all the time. After moving out they sent me a bill for $3500 for replacing cabinets and kitchen floor. It was ridiculous and stressful. The day of move in they gave me the list and told me to check appliances and let them know if something is not working. Long story short, they replaced cabinets or maybe they didn't and just want to reap off some money . The good reviews you read are from those residents who just moved in because their sales people ask you to give a review the first week you move in, which you will because you don't want to ignore him. Even if you want to move in be very careful with the list they give you and check every corner and take a picture because you will need it in the future when they squeeze you to a corner.

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and experienced numerous infestation problems especially since we have apartments inspected by an exterminator prior to someone moving in. As to the charges upon move out, please remember we urge you to be present for the inspection to avoid any issues. You have mentioned this in the past, as we stated then, please contact us directly so we may work with you regarding your final account statement. Thank you.
For one the first year I signed a leasing agreement with them for a set amount for the first year. Not only half way through the year they way over Charged me then after the year was up tried to bump my rent three times the amount. They are horrible about giving you a head up when they will be doing something either in your building or in your apartment. They decide to charge you here and there for rediculouse things. If your looking for an apartment her I would 100% re think. This place. Not to mention I live alone and my electricity use stays the same each month yet each month that changes and their have been times they charge you way way to much for it then don’t give u an explanation or even three meter read. So who knows if you get charged for that based on what you use your self. Don’t trust this place. They are extremely rude and think they can charge u for what ever when ever. Re think re think. The only good thing they have here is Roxanna.
First of all when we first moved in you could park without a parking pass, now they require parking passes no big deal right? Wrong if the car is not under your name they will not issue a parking pass for you even if you are the head of household on your lease. I have a car under my parents name and they would not give me a pass at all and suggested I park on the street. There is not enough parking on the street! Mount Vernon Square issues 2 permanent parking passes for their residents and 1 additional permanent guest pass as well. Secondly the front office staff is not as welcoming as they sound on their website. They are as rude as can be and never return your emails or calls! The closet door keep falling of the hinges, they say they fix them but they never do! The complex itself is never clean, and my biggest concern of all I was harassed by one of the maintenance men, he made a comment/remark that was very uncomfortable and sexist! Whatever you do, do NOT move here!!!!
The property is infested with bed bugs they ignore you when you call and take messages and dont get back to you when they did spray they only did one apartment so they came right back it is an awful place to live its not a clean property at all
these apartments are a complete disaster I have over 9 months living here almost since i come if no washers or dryers machine that are in the building are never complete available today'date only one machine is working and dryers have broken the filter and the plastic is broken your clothes . I say what kind of maintenance service is not only that i spent almost $ 60 every weekend and even the cleaning staff did't give a called to report these problems I think this is the worst of an apartment complex staff definitely do not recommend these apartments to live there is also another problem the apartment is on top of mine I think the neighbors do not throw the trash outside rather make ground in the sink in the kitchen and when they have drain problem all that dirty water stagnates falls on one of my closet on the toilet. Whenever this happened I have to buy new carpet fro bahtroom.. i have to buy new emergency medicine bath that although this covered jars so I can not give my children this is a disgusting believe me ..
I'm enjoying my community and I look forward to all the great things that there are to experience.
I've lived here for a year now and haven't had a peoblem yet the apartments are spacious just wished they had 2 bathroom option.
Reasonable apartment for the price. Some minor aging and structural issues but overall good for what you pay. However, please consider that the property management is incompetent. They misapply rent and threaten to take you to court without double checking. They allow contractors to enter your apartment without notice due to poor training of staff. They fine you and threaten to evict you over petty violations of arbitrarily enforced community rules. Often they send you threatening letters intended for other residents.
I have been at Meadow Wood for almost four years. There are definitely pros and cons of living in this neighborhood. I love the fact that you don’t have to have a parking pass; with that said there are numerous work vehicles (vans, trucks, etc) that take up spots closest to the apartments. If you come in after 9:00 pm be prepared to walk a distance to get to your apartment. As with most apartments you have good and bad neighbors. I have had neighbor’s kids playing in the stairwell all hours of the night. As well as people smoking in the laundry room and under the stairs. The laundry room is hit or miss, most of the time only half of the machines work, and there is always a leak. You also get to have dogs here. I was originally supposed to be up on the second floor, but was told that dogs had to be on the ground floor (I was told two different things, by two different people). Since I have been here I have seen many dogs on the upstairs floors. Just an FYI if you are uncomfortable being on the ground floor. My apartment itself is nice for the price. I have had a handful of roaches in my apartment, but that is typically when someone moves out. Other than that I don’t see any bugs; except a few spiders in the summer. The biggest downside is the lack of storage in the apartment. My blinds have not worked since I first moved in, as well as the doors on my closet. I did call for these issue but they have not been fixed. Since than I have placed other orders to have items fixed and most of them were completed promptly. The maintenance guys are really nice, and responsive. Sometimes I do feel like there is a lack of communication with them and the front desk. The front desk is pretty good. Dreena (I believe I spelled that right) is amazing. She is super sweet and always so helpful. I have had a few issues with the front desk, but I have never had any issues with her. They do have online rent pay now, which is super convenient. In the summer they always have incentives for residents. They have cookouts and activities for everyone. Lastly LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The apartments are located in the middle of everything. You are within walking distance of a lot (Shoppers, Pets Mart, Five below, and more). Also Kingstowne and Old Town Alexandria are about a 10 min drive. The National Harbor is also very close, about 20 minutes. As stated before there are pros and cons of living here, but I have been here for four years and will probably stay until I buy a house.
I have been at the Meadow Woods Apartments since I left college and was surprised to find an affordable apartment community within the D.C. Metro Area that wasn't exorbitantly high. The community is great with plenty of parking available for guest and or multiple cars. You do not have to worry about your car being towed as there is no permit parking (a positive given that many communities in the area tend to require parking permits). The apartments come in a variety of sizes and the one bedroom apartment that I currently occupy is spacious as the bedroom is nearly the same size as the living room. This means the master bedroom provides plenty of spaces with decent size walk-in closet that is capable of fitting individuals with large wardrobes. Cable and/or satellite is connection is readily available. Each apartment has updated fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms which makes for a pleasing environment. Overall my experience has been wonderful.
The apartment I live in now is okay. Besides the kids running over my head every night and day. Or even when they kick a soccer ball against my windows. Besides that it's a small roomy space.
1. 3 closet doors do not work properly, track broke and came off ceiling on top and wood edge on floor. Office said they would take care of it, last time I called, now they claim that unless I plan to stay there for more than 1 year, they will not fix it, it isn't something "important." 2. Water pressure is very very low in the shower... they will not fix, since they pay for water, they limit the pressure. 2a. Kitchen trash disposal stopped working, it took 4 weeks for anyone to stop by. 4 weeks, 3 calls, 3 stop bys and 1 nasty recorded message. We are not allowed to fix things ourselves, or we will get charge a fee. How will they know? I have no idea. 3. Required proff. carpet cleaned before moving out, even though the carpet was given to us full of stains and weird edge cuts. Some pieces are missing nails, or the nails were sticking out. 4. Changed door electronic mechanism, where you need a special plastic device to unlock your door. Price to replace plastic device: $250. Price to unlock door if device fails, $50. Batteries for locking mechanism can only be replaced by office staff. However, if it fails during a night out, guess what, you are not sleeping in your apt. Since it is not considered emergency, calling the after hours #, will cost you $75. Plan ahead people, pay attention to the red blinking light.
