Largely due to its relative isolation from other major metropolitan areas, Sioux Falls has developed thriving local culture with robust shopping, dining, and entertainment scenes, delivering homegrown cultural resources that would be the envy of any city its size. The local rental market offers a diverse range of options -- the historic homes and apartment buildings of the City Center are popular among young professionals seeking to participate in the thriving downtown community, while the quiet suburban environment of the Shindler neighborhood tends to attract folks seeking a tranquil home life. No matter where they live, all residents enjoy the benefits of an exceptionally low crime rate, which sits at roughly half the national average.

Property Ratings at Meadowbrook Apartments
I just want to say mantience is fast and speedy. My AC wall unit stopped working in the morning and they had it fixed before I even got back from work. My cousin lived here before me for 7 years and even recommended I rent here. Mantience is good and the neighbors are nice.
If you have issues with something, don't expect a phone call back explaining what is going on. Called plenty of times and got a convenient letter stuck in my door in response. Don't expect a text back from their number, either. Customer service to their tenants is the last of their priorities, at least it was for me. Otherwise, everything is fine with the property.
It was a paranoid leap of faith paying the requested application fee, deposit and 1st month's rent in cash, but justified. The walls have above average sound transit sound resistance, the neighborhood quiet, and complex fairly well cared for. Stairs leading to 2nd floor are gradual, making it safer than most. I was pleased to find office staff and mgr. cleaning my apt. prior to my move-in! It shows well placed pride and humility. The only drawbacks I found were difficult under-sink water valves with heavy mineral buildup (revealed in water when valves turned sweakily), and the security entrance callbox (1 month after move-in) has not been set up to my phone number yet. It's the best rental (of many) I've had over decades!
I have been at Meadowbrook Apartments for 6 years now. Great location, conveniantly close to the interstate, the bike trails, close to the zoo, 7 minutes from Downtown. Quiet Neighborhood, well maintained, updating regularly, issues are addressed promptly and correctly, plus i love that Meadowbrook is a non-smoking property! ??
I’ve lived at Meadowbrooke for several years I have to say there has been a big shift in how the property is managed in the last couple of years. The snow removal has gotten worse, this last year they barely even scooped the sidewalks when it snowed. I’ve have a patio door that is full of condensation and have been told for years it would be getting replaced but never is and all you hear is more false promises. Lately there has been an extremely loud neighbor making noise that makes walls and floors shake at all times of the day but they take no action even though they have language in the lease to address these issues but don’t enforce it. The lack of action is disappointing especially since they want to keep raising rent but they do less and less work year or year.
I have lived in fancier and also much less fancy places but I have never lived in a better rental. CLEAN, Well Maintained, Snow Promptly Removed, Simple but Manicured Landscaping, Perfectly Accessible Location.
They are located in a great quiet neighborhood close to the fair grounds and shopping. They have great smoke-free, cat-friendly apartments, and the apartments are really nice. They are definitly above what I expected and I really love coming home after a long day. The neighbors are all quiet and respectful as well which I love. Overall an awesome and affordable place to live.
