The building has issues from when it was initially built, and it is clear the construction was done with the intention of being fast and cheap. The current property managers and maintenance people are fantastic, and try to address the issues as promptly as they are able, but do not be surprised if some issues from the original build arise.

Pricing is getting out of hand for what you get. Amenities continue to be inconsistently working. The apartment has been bought by multiple property management companies over the year and there doesn’t appear to be any benefits or loyalty for long term tenants.

This is a calm, enjoyable little island in the middle of Charleston's madness. For those like me, who love the city's cultural life but don't want to live right in the middle of it, the location and structure are ideal.

Quiet location thats walking distance to multiple restaurants and bars with varying price ranges. Friendly and responsive staff available seven days a week. The road right outside the building (Huger St.) can have some flooding during during heavy rainfall but the water disappears very quickly when the rain stops, and I've never seen it affect the building/parking.

Overpriced and not transparent. Also charge monthly for parking which is another 100 dollars a month. They really nickel and dime you here. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

The experience was good. The community is solid with the amenities being the strong suit. I lived in the East Lofts. The main building is much more upscale. The east building is very bare bones. The negatives are homeless sleeping in the garage, they tow cars in the garage, and it is above average cost for a unit.

It's a real relief to have a polite and responsive rental team. Of course there can sometimes be problems, as there are anywhere; but when you tell them about an issue, they take care of it. That's more than I can say for most places!

The resident events are actually fun and worth going to with your roommate and friends in the building! But, despite what I was told when I toured, the complex is noisy, being that it’s right next to the freeway and I don’t love the noise 24/7.

It’s been an okay experience, and there’s been a change in management so we might see improvement, but honestly the place needs some work. I’m in the ECL building and there’s just appliances and whatnot that need replaced, and the washers and dryers are a mess, not to mention a money pit.

The location of the apartment complex and the amenities are great. There are a lot of extra fees (laundry, parking) that really add up with living here that I want originally anticipating when signing a lease. Communication between residents and management should be more efficient at times.

I really enjoy living here at Meeting Street lofts. Ever since the new management they have been great and it truly feels like they care for us as residents.
The location of my apartment is perfect, and I am happy with the amenities available. I’m disappointed that my apartment was not what I was expecting based off of the pictures online. I’m in the roseman floor plan which only shows the standard floor plan and not 3D pictures of the apartment. Upon entering my apartment, I was upset to find a mini fridge rather than a full sized fridge, the loft specifying “storage only” when the floor plan states “loft”, and the bathroom in my apartment doesn’t have nice and new countertops and drawers/cabinets, nor a larger tub, such as the apartments in the main building (which is what I am most disappointed about). I selected meeting street lofts as bc I loved the apartment when visiting my friend who lived here, however my renovations don’t look anywhere as nice as his did. My focus when searching for a place to live included newer renovations & new appliances, new cabinets & granite countertops (especially the bathroom).
It is so fun always having events to go to! Everyone is so nice and our apartment is really nice! Love the pool and the game room areas as well.
Moving in was a breeze and everyone at the complex has been helpful and nice. The only complaint that I do have is that my AC has been leaking and while they came out to fix the issue, the AC is still leaking and might even be worse.
So far, I love living at Meeting Street Lofts. I stay in the East Central Lofts but I still have access to the gym and common spaces in the other building. The building is well maintained. I have good lighting and views in my Forest Hills apartment. When I arrived, there were welcome gifts (cutting board, tote bag, cat toys, tumblers) that made me feel special. The staff has been very friendly. I've also enjoyed the common spaces that have free wifi and free coffee since I work from home. Definitely a step up from my last apartment.
This has been a great place to live! There are so many perks and fun events. I feel very safe and taken care of. I love being downtown and walking distance but it’s a little further out from the center of everything and less overwhelming. Highly recommend!
I have really enjoyed living at Meeting Street Lofts. The staff were very helpful when I moved in making sure that everything was in excellent condition in the apartment and helping me to understand how to make sure to get mail and packages and use the Hub . I also appreciate the pool, ping pong table and community amenities on the 3rd floor. I would recommend Meeting Street Lofts to anyone looking for a comfortable, beautiful and friendly and pet-friendly apartment community.
Leasing office has always been super helpful for any problems that arise. The community is kept clean and has great amenities. On top of that, the heart of downtown Charleston is walkable with tons of great restaurants and shops nearby.
Overall a good experience. Management company has had some turnover but the staff that have been there are usually good about getting stuff done. The folks who manage repairs are excellent and timely. Really a saving grace for this place.
So far it’s been pretty good. The walls here are a bit thin which has been interesting come bed time, but overall I love our little apartment.
Amazing apartment complex with with well taking care amenities, great customer service and management always making the best effort to be better.
The amenities are great but the area is probably not as safe as you’d like…just this last week several locked up bikes were stolen out of the parking garage and management’s solution to residents was to suggest we pay $10/month for bike storage instead of putting a security camera in the location where most of the bikes not in the climate controlled room are stored.
LOVE living here! We have THE BEST location & amenities and the resident events are awesome too :) Meeting Street Lofts is such a community!
I have had a good experience here, the gym is nice and i love the pool. receiving packages can be confusing at times as they can go to multiple places
Have had a great experience with move in and my first few weeks at MSL, everyone had been very kind and friendly. The dog park has been a big hit!
The leasing agents are on top of all requests, so is the maintenance team and the rest of the staff. Amenities are kept clean and taken care of. Great apartment to live in
Maintenance could be better. Management seems very nice here and so do the residents so I’m liking how it is so far. Hopefully I’ll stay here another year or so.
If I am being honest here, Im considering moving out to find a better apartment complex with in the next year, our less. The staff are nice and friendly but I have lived in the complex for 3 years and have never had an issue with rent rates or parking fees. The new management group took over about half a yer ago and only wants money. The first thing they did when they moved in was ask for a raise in rent, then they tried to charge people for parking in the parking deck. Im not interested in playing games with rent rates in the future. How do we know they won't arbitrarily raise the rent again?
Absolutely love being here! The management staff is very communicative and whenever there is a question they immediately work on it and are very helpful! Michael is the best!
It's good. High rent and some uncleanliness in the commons. The laundry room trash shoot stays a mess. Coffee machine is great. Tons of options. It is almost like having a Starbucks in your apartment. A lot of bums hang out in the area too, so you have to be careful. I've seen cars get broken into in the area. The area is very lively with music and bar patrons.

I have been living at Meeting Street Lofts for a little over a month and my experience has been pretty great. When I moved in, the apartment was clean, but had some hardware issues. I submitted a maintenance request and things were fixed within 24 hours. The amenities are great and most of the tenants treat the areas with respect. Unfortunately, it can't be perfect when you share space with hundreds of people, but thats okay! One complaint I have is the response time with emailing. The leasing agents do not respond to everything, but they are usually really helpful in person. I would recommend this living space!
So far have had zero negative experiences. Management has always been responsive. People are constantly doing work around the apartment. Been here for two months so far
Great place to live! Great community and amenities including the pool and gym. The free coffee and cold brew in the morning is awesome and the staff are always available to help.

I have lived here for a few years. The new management is wonderful and on top of everything which is nice. Nice amenities and units. Amazon hub, mailroom, and a coffee machine in lobby!
I just moved in and there’s still some things that need done in the apartment, but overall I’m really liking it. There are a couple things that need some maintenance, like the toilet and garbage disposal, but otherwise the apartment and amenities are pretty great!
