Located in central Connecticut, this neighborhood of homes and rentals sits midway between Hartford to the north and New Haven to the south, a 30-minute commute in both directions via highway or the Amtrak rail system. History buffs love the number of National Register of Historical Places in this town, including the former Meriden Curtain Fixture Company factory, a sprawling red brick building converted into the Charles Street Place Apartments.
Outdoor spaces also hold historical landmark status, such as the world-renowned 1,800-acre Hubbard Park from the designers of New York's Central Park. Meriden provides 24 municipal parks, one of the top 10 public golf courses in Connecticut, and three dedicated trails for hiking, biking, and running.
Residents gather at the award-winning Ted's Restaurant, an area staple for over 50 years and home to the first steamed cheeseburger.

Property Ratings at Meriden Commons
It was really nice when we moved in. The decline is happening fast now. People peeing in the elevator and spitting on elevator doors. Dog poop in the hallway, dead roaches on the second floor. They use dirty water to clean the floors and elevators. Building entry doors that should be locked aren’t. Package theft from people letting just anyone in. They turned the water pressure down, maintenance staff is a joke. It LOOKS nice, until you move in.
I love being a tenant here at Meriden Commons. I appreciate the staff and the maintenance as well. I am so glad I decided to move here. I will be here for a while! Nicole and Cynthia are awesome! -EE

I couldn't be more thankful to have Nicole as a property manager. Whenever I was unsure of a situation I would reach out to her and she would call me when she was available to help clarify what needed to be done and by when. I had a short timeline to work with but Nicole really helped me get everything done on time. Things seemed unorganized and a bit confusing at times but as long as I verbally addressed my concerns to Nicole, she would help me get through any issues. I completely understand why things seemed hectic. For one I had one month to move out of my old place and hope I could move into these apartments. Nicole must have been working with tons of people at the same time and it is a new complex. I appreciate the hard work she put in and how comfortable she made me feel. As long as you are persistent and verbal about your concerns, everything should go smoothly. I've honestly had an amazing experience. - AF
