Property Ratings at Meridian at Grosvenor Station
The manager of this place is literally the worst. She is completely unprofessional and argumentative, and as others have mentioned, treats residents as if they are a burden. The incompetency I’ve seen in the last year as management has consistently declined is staggering. Advise anyone to think twice before moving here, especially as the rent rates by far do not match the level of service that is provided.
We toured the property and the leasing staff was incredibly welcoming. However, the condition of the vacant units were appalling. One room we toured reeked of sewage and the toilet was clogged. They didn’t even check before handing us the keys. We couldn’t look around because the smell was incredibly nauseating. The big red flag is the amount of roaches we saw. Hundreds of roaches in the fridge, dishwasher, and in e carpets. We suspect the units still needed to be clean, but we couldn’t run out of there fast enough.

We lived at the Meridian @ Grosvenor for 3 years and really enjoyed our time there. Our 1 bedroom apartment was nicely laid out and we absolutely loved the location. I metro into DC every day and really enjoyed how close it was to metro, the beltway, and Rockville pike. The gym and rooftop pool are nice - we just wish the roof/pool area was open all year round. The maintenance staff and front desk staff were excellent. However, we did have a lot of issues with the leasing staff. They are not that friendly and are poor communicators. On multiple occasions, we were told the wrong thing by the assistant property manager (when we went to reserve the loading dock for our move-out a month in advance, we were told by the assistant property manager via email that it was confirmed and when we went to double check the night before, it hadn't even been put into the system). Thankfully, there was only 1 other apt moving so the front desk booked for us. On another occasion, we were told the incorrect date of our lease end date. I've dealt with very efficient leasing offices and this isn't one of them. We would still recommend this apartment complex to a friend but keep your expectations low for the property management team.

I've lived here more than three years and have always left my rent check, never late, in the same office mailbox every month. This afternoon, because they didn't cash or lost a check I'd left in the same mailbox, I found an Eviction Notice pasted to my door. Unless I pay the rent and a penalty fee by the next morning, they will file legal proceedings against me and evict me and my wife and child. Well that's what life is like here under the new management. The facilities (e.g., the rooftop pool, landscaping, apartments, and mini-gym) are great, but the management has become extremely hostile toward tenants. This is a very, very different place than the one I first moved into three years ago under a fabulous office staff. (Also disappointed that they let a freon leak go un-repaired for a year, despite my complaints, hello CDC and Montgomery County Health Department!!, and refused to address the root of a sulfuric sewage smell that rendered the guest bathroom sink practically unusable for about six months.)

Handsome building, well maintained, concierge service, the Metro is literally steps away, leafy surroundings, quiet but will easy access to shopping on Rockville Pike, Bethesda and the Beltway.
The website for the Meridian at Grosvenor Station describes this building as being steps to the Grosvenor Metro Station. This is accurate- you really can not get much closer to a metro station. For people commuting into the district, its pretty convenient. The building also has on-site resident parking, and you can drive easily to the nearby (somewhat crowded and depressing) Rockville Pike, home of every fast-food chain imaginable. If you like being in a walkable neighborhood, though, this aspect of the location is not the best. The local public schools have an excellent reputation. As to the apartments themselves, they are generally pleasant, typical of similarly-priced apartments in the DC suburbs. The pool on the roof is extremely nice, a spot where you can encounter the range of people living in the building, from families with young children to singles in their late 20s and early 30s.
