Property Ratings at Meritage Apartments
when we get in this apartment it was dirty the areas where you can see easily were cleaned but those area that are hidden are really dirty like the handle of the tub wa not cleaned , the shower is kind of moldy the underneath of the drawers are so dusty, I found a lot of plastic bags under the drawers with a lot of dust . the drawers were not working. we found some mice poops in the kitchen drawers because theres a hole under the sink. Reported those to the manager and all she did was email, takes a couple days for them to respond to the email. nothing was done with the follow ups we did. so we just took care of it. cover the hole with the tape. there's a lot of spiders. if theres issues it's not fixed. behind the fridge is so dusty. we got in this place during the pandemic and the manager just ask us to sign the inspection papers without us even seeing the place if those in the paper were true. they have a no smoking policy but everyone who smokes are still allowed to smoke. The manager is aware that are neighbor is smoking , cigarette butts everywhere the manager saw it but just dont care about it. the rent increase a lot. it increase like 150 or more a month per year. the appliances are really old. the window blinds are falling when we got there its already old . and broken reported this also to the manager but were never replace at alll. and we were charge for it when we move. how silly is that? they did not fix it, I need to clean it but they charge us still. the first couple months we moved, the place was real quite but it got loud with lots of kids screaming by your window, playing basketball game and people playing really loud music even in the middle of the night. they have security at night but nothing is done about it. our neighbor smoke and drink and play loud music but nothing is done about it.
This apartment complex is absolutely horrible. The property manager replies to emails a few days to a week after the email is sent. If there is a problem they usually will NEVER fix it. There is a rat problem. There is a roach problem. I live under a drug dealer with 2 kids and a girlfriend and nothing is done. The kids are always stomping around and nothing is done. The property manager decided it was a good idea to tear down EVERY SINGLE TREE in every backyard. It gets to the hundreds in the summer and the trees were our only shade. The rent is raised a ton a year for no reason. The walls are paper thin. The plumbing is horrible. Overall this apartment complex should not exist and people should not live here.
the people are nice but they can't maintain their buildings and they let things Fall apart and inconvenience the tenants quite a bit. overall it's been a very frustrating living experience but it's affordable.
