It's disappointing to hear you didn't have a great experience. Even though we have limited access, nightly foot patrol, and an on-site courtesy officer, no one can guarantee crime and/or safety. We send notices out when we are aware of increased crime in the area. There are some make and models of trucks that are more popular than others for these alleged incidents. We were not aware that there was an incident with your car. As for the sheetrock damage, we sent you the pictures and invoices earlier last week. Did you email us or call us for those items? Our Greystar receivables department is not a collection agency. They are an in house receivables department that processes move out balances. If you are having issues with Greystar receivables, please email metropolemgr@greystar.com in which we will do our best to assist you.
I lived here for 1 year now that I have moved out yesterday it’s time to be honest here for all the people who are touring and writing reviews trust me I understand I too was in awe but living here after the first 3 months Reality hits and let me just say ….. this was THE WORST place ever like talk about catfish on the photos. They say it’s luxury but if you call A- water being shut off every other week B-walking basically a half a mile to the parking garage with no parking. C- Being TOWED and having stickers placed on your car for staying in a spot 15 minutes over the allowed time. D- Having people ENTER your home when your not there and catching them make slick comments on your ring camera E-walking the side walk and seeing and smelling dog poop everywhere. Oh did I mention there is no where to walk your dog other than by a VERY busy street. So people honestly let their dogs go to the bathroom anywhere including hallways. I lived here for a full year and I have yet to see them shampoo carpets F-Spending MONTHS without a working elevator. Having pipes burst and floors flooded and having construction work being done for basically since I moved in. It’s still going on dont worry. G-Having the staff talk down to and over you. Oh and the roaches… in the hall. Cats and critters in garage Paying top dollar for honestly a mid living situation it’s just bad y’all. I have nothing against homeless people but how did someone get in our building they are around the building because we are near bus stops but living alone as a woman I did not feel safe. I Honestly I could go on and on and on but let’s just say I wish I could give it a 0 out of 10 it was so bad and make sure you take pictures of ANYTHING you sign and everything they some how lost the inventory sheet I filled out so… just be mindful. Just pure trash and not worth the money

Hi - it's disappointing to hear you didn't have a great experience. We'll look into it so we can do better next time. It is discouraging to learn of your experience with us. Your feedback helps us improve and we would like to learn more about how we can make this better.
If you're looking for a location that feels like a hotel, then this is your place. Nothing like seeing homeless people all over the building and them telling you that everyone knows the building is not secure. Seeing people sleeping on the floor outside your door or ringing your doorbell and trying to enter your apartment. This was once a very beautiful building. Tons of airbnb's, so plenty of strangers and trash left everywhere. They aren't doing anything about them or the roaches. Too much rent, for a good area, but gives you the feels of low income housing. Oh and the building was shot up twice while I was there. SMH.
DO NOT MOVE HERE RUN AWAY FAST FROM METROPOLE AND GREYSTAR I seriously cannot believe the blatant disregard for the residents at this apartment complex. CRIME IS INSANE! Here is a list of what has happened to me in the last 8 months: Bike Stolen Catalytic Converters Stolen Car Broken into Girlfriend followed into and around the garage and more. On top of that, other people have had the same issues along with wheels getting stolen and entire vehicles. The apartments appear to be nice at first glance but have MAJOR issues. Pest problems Everything is constantly broken ZERO Security Switching staff constantly with zero notice Outdated appliances that will cost you more money Trash EVERYWHERE Horrible build quality I could go on and on I have contacted management multiple times attempting to get something done but they don't care. How do i know they don't care? Because they told me that a security guard would be ineffective. That's very interesting because other greystar properties have security guards. They lie, lie, lie straight to your face. They had the nerve to tell me that I would be holding them responsible for the crime if i wanted to end my lease early. Well, when you do NOTHING to curve the crime on YOUR property that WE PAY YOU to live in, you might as well be smashing out my windows. I will be going to the news, I think they will like this one. I will never ever ever live at a Greystar property after this. I have had anxiety and elevated stress living at this basket case of an apartment.
I was living next door at 36Sixty for a year. I decided to come check nextdoor here at Metropole when my lease was up. I scored an awesome deal on a HUGE one bedroom. Elisa was so helpful in helping me find the perfect unit with all the space I needed. I've been here for a month and love my apartment and the fact that we have food trucks weekly and I'm minutes away from work.
If you love views, look into staying in the high-rise. I love how big my patio balcony is! I toured with Trilby, she is so informative and has been so helpful with my move out of state. The maintenance team quickly answers my work requests and gets the job done in a timely manner. I love my home.
I am loving my new home! I moved into Metropole in early August and the whole experience was excellent! Everyone in the leasing office (special thanks to Trilby and Elisa!) made the whole process seamless from beginning to end! The pool and amenities are awesome and I love the weekly food trucks! Keep up the great work, Metropole!
6 months into my lease and this is home. My twobedroom has a great view and it's more than enough space for my roommate and I. Parking on lower levels is a challenge but there are like 6 levels (I think) with building access. The maintenance guys are great and the staff has always been helpful. The pool on the weekends has become a social spot where I met many neighbors. I am happy here.
I recently moved out after living at Metropole for 3.5 years and had experienced 3 different changes in management. When I first moved in here, it was a highly sought after apartment community that rarely had availability. Over time, amenities were cut and staff turnover was frequent. Overall, grounds are not well maintained and have only gotten worse since Roscoe took over management. Hallways look trashy, half the lights are out, and it smells like weed. Feral cats live in the garage and climb all over your car. Parking lot level 3 and half of level 4 and 5 have spaces that are painted too small that a compact car won’t fit in, so if you aren’t home early on weekdays to grab a lower level spot, you’re parking on the top floor meant for visitors - or trying to squeeze between vehicles and hope someone doesn't back into your car. Trash rules are constantly violated and management does nothing about it. Front doors of the high rise do not remain locked outside of business hours; the door is always cracked, so the security access is not in place. Elevators are down often. Poor communication - management is a nightmare to deal with and does not respond to calls or emails in a timely fashion. During quarantine when most, if not all, residents were working from home, they shut off the water to the community for 3 days without notice. You could not shower, brush your teeth, wash dishes, or use the toilet for 3 days. The office only gave every resident 6 small bottles of water to get by after 2 days of no water. Amenities were removed in 2020 due to COVID but they still made residents pay the monthly amenity fees. As of early 2021, only a few of the amenities had reopened and were only open for limited time slots during the day when most people are working. When it was time for my last renewal, they offered me a 10% increase in rent when new leases (on higher, more premium floors) were being advertised below my current rate, plus offering specials that included 6 weeks free. As a long-time resident, I was discouraged Roscoe would do this (my last renewal was with a different management team). After several weeks of me having to follow up and being lied to about this process, they finally agreed to honor my current rate. However, by this point, I had already decided to move out. Unless Roscoe is bought out by another leasing company, I would suggest looking elsewhere for an apartment.
I'm surprised to see the negative reviews. Things have always been good now they are great! The people in the office are slightly new and have made many changes. I decided to renew my lease and stay another year.
I enjoyed living at Metropole for the past 2 years. The staff made me feel at home through my entire time there. Also, the location was great since I could walk to work to the Greenway Plaza. I recently bought a home and had to move. The assistant manager, Ricky, helped me through the entire move out process. I would recommend anyone I know that wants a great apartment with an great view to Metropole.
I toured about three weeks ago with Elisa. Being new to the state and the city and needing an immediate move-in for a new job position it was all overwhelming. My tour of the community was nice. She sold me on the community and it's a location in relation to all things Houston. I am moved in, and I love my apartment it's huge for a one-bedroom.
Absolutely zero security. Frequent break-ins. Management refuses to address the issue.
I have lived here for 2 years. The apartment has bare thin walls separating the units. Everything your neighbors say or do, is heard( even a sneeze). I can feel my whole apartment vibrating when I neighbor who lives above me walks. I can feel the stomping foot steps receding or getting closer. Good luck if they drop something while you are sleeping, it will wake you up. You can hear if the neighbor above you vacuum's their home. The hardwood floors look clean and nice when you tour the apartment but they offer no sound proofing. After Roscoe properties took over the contract, there is a lot of cost cutting in building maintenance. Move-in at your own risk. Especially if you work from home during the pandemic , Good luck being stuck in your apartment. It wears down on you when you can't get good sleep and your awake time is filled with your next door neighbor's sounds and conversations that you dont want to hear through your walls. I extended my lease only because I didn't want to move during the pandemic and I regret it the most. Feels happy that I have left "The Metropole."
Just moved in a month ago, and this morning at 530 multiple bullets went into our apartment on the 6th floor. Police think someone was aiming at our place. Waiting to hear back from corporate As me and my roommate no longer feel safe. Glass still on the floor 7 hours later, as management doesn't consider this an emergency
Very nice apartment, modern, nice bathroom with big shower.
Bailey gave me an amazing experience. Can't wait to move in and enjoy my new home.
Pros: - Location is great - Most of the girls in the leasing office are friendly and helpful where possible Cons: - Parking is a serious problem. The spaces are fine on the 1st Floor but get narrower and narrower as you go up. I have a pretty compact car and i struggle to squeeze into some of the spots. It's like they didn't actually measure the width of the spaces and just got someone blind to eyeball it. For this reason, anything above the 2nd floor is a free-for all, people just ignore the lines and park wherever possible. - Security is pathetic. The gate to the parking garage is broken every 2/3 weeks. The doors from the parking garage to the main building require a fob, but most of these don't work so anybody can just walk in. The main entrance to the front of the building also requires a fob, but this almost NEVER works and pretty much always open to anyone to come in, day or night. - You can hear everything that your neighbour is doing, whether they're being loud or not. - The layout of the apartment I lived in was terrible. There was so much wasted space. Also whenever I would leave the bathroom door slightly open and then leave my bedroom, the bathroom door would swing open and jam my bedroom door shut. This means that I would have to push my bedroom door really hard and scratch the door paint off if I wanted to get in. - The exterior is just filthy and disgusting. There's mould everywhere and the railings/fences in the pool/amenity area were completely rusted. - Maintenance either takes way too long or never happens at all. I had an issue with my washing machine which would basically blow a fuse every 2 weeks. At first I would just get maintenance to come round and fix it but after a few months it became that it was gone and needed to be replaced. I emailed the office, no response. Emailed again, no response. Emailed and called multiple times and it never got resolved. I finally emailed the VP of the company after 4 months of complaining and finally got a replacement. - Got a complaint/issue that you need help with? I was having an issue with the valet trash so emailed the office asking for some help sorting it out, no response. Emailed 5 times across 2 weeks with not one response.
The neighbor's are all very nice and kind and we love the fact that this is one of the only places in the area that is pet friendly! The apartments have large windows that illuminate each room! Maintenance is also fast and effective!! I really recommend living here.
I really like it here! The people are nice and seem friendly that live there. But the person that honestly made it worth living here and made the transition easy from one place to then other was the leasing associate named Daisy! She is just so kind, fast and has plenty of information for you if you ever have any questions !
The Metropole is a really great place to live, we had a three bedroom and we loved our space, very pretty yet low-maintenance flooring, granite countertops -- a lot of upgraded features in the kitchen and baths ... also really nice neighbors!
As a Design Professional, my work has taken me all over the World. I have stayed in short term, furnished corporate apartments all over the US, and globally, from Dubai to Shanghai. I have to say that my stay in Houston with Metropole Apartments , is hands down the best apartment experiences I have had thus far! Letty & Monique manage an amazing front office team . Bailey and Ashley are always happy , attentive and professional in their assistance to tenants. I had a maintenance issue come up late at night, and it was handled immediately. The coffee lounge, gym, massage room, entertainment lounge, swimming pool, trash valet, package delivery, and other amenities and services make it feel more like a hotel stay rather than apartment living. Excellent location for shops , restaurants, Freeways, and downtown. Fantastic value when considering the location and all of the amenities ! I highly recommend that you consider Metropole when sourcing an apartment home near downtown!
My sister and I live together in a two-bedroom apartment at METROPOLE and absolutely love it here. The building staff is amazing. They go out of their way every day to be helpful and solve any problems that arise. All of the apartments are brand new and well sized. Plus, we have a balcony and the views are AMAZING. We love our apartment so much that we even convinced our other sister to move in two doors down on the same floor. Her studio is spacious with equally gorgeous views.
Beautiful amenities spacious apartment. Two outdoor pools, spa, basketball court, big gym, cafe and health salad bar on the building. Love it!!
Very cozy lobby! VERY nice friendly staff!!! Beautiful inside!

People love to complain. This building and the people that work here are some of the best I’ve ever met. One of the best residential buildings in Spring tx.
I’m a Resident of Metropole in 22C and I’ve lived here now 1 year and some months and I love the welcome of coming home to kind hearted professionals. There is comfort and happiness filled with warmth and compassion. It’s truly a blessing living here.
Lived at Metropole for over 5 years. The property is a blend of a mid rise and a high rise (which is a historic office building converted to apartments). Views from the high rise facing downtown are BEAUTIFUL. Management changed a couple of years back. Customer service is O.K. Building maintenance, cleanliness and up keep is not so great. Also, they no longer have a live concierge which means lost packages and being S.O.L after hours. The parking garage is a attached to the mid rise so if you live there your kinda lucky. Others in the high rise have a LONG walk. A wagon is totally recommended for hauling groceries and heavy items from car. FYI parking up front next to leasing office is TINY and a nightmare to get out of because constant heavy traffic and illegal parking. The gym is modest, offers towels and faces the pool area. It's difficult to get Wi-Fi in gym and there's few treadmills and even fewer if one is "out of service." Food truck Thursdays are cool and the leasing office does periodically host social events. Very affordable rent. One can "ball on a budget" at the Metropole. Will miss my downtown view!!
The METROPOLE building in itself is very accommodating and luxurious. Its clean clean with fast elevators and great views. They also decorate beautifully during the holidays.
I’ve notified management numerous times about a health concern aka a bee infestation in my apartment. They do not care about the health concerns this poses to my family. I wouldn’t wish this upon my worse enemy.
I've lived here for almost four years. It was a really nice building when I moved in, but since Roscoe took over property management a few months ago everything has deteriorated. The alarm system on doors now obnoxiously chirps anytime anyone uses it, and any room near a door now has to listen to that constantly. The concierge hours were eliminated without warning, so good luck getting packages or maintenance requests in after 6pm. The building no longer alerts you when you have packages, and has lost at least one of mine. They transferred to a new, painful online system. None of these changes were announced, so residents were just left trying to figure out what exactly the property management does. Rent prices, meanwhile, are not decreasing. Also, the pool only gets light from 11 a.m. to about 3:30 pm because it's positioned between buildings, which is a downer in the summer. This is really sad because it used to be a great place to live.

We sincerely apologize for your experience, but we thank you for bringing it to our attention. Regarding our concierge hours, they have just been reduced while our concierge is on vacation, but will be reinstated upon his return. We'd like the opportunity to discuss your other concerns. If you have time, please swing by the office to speak with us or give us a call at (713) 714-3715. We want all of our residents to be as comfortable as possible, so we’re more than willing to help resolve these matters.
I loved living in The Metropole. I lived in the mid-rise on the skyline facing side. I just recently moved out because I work outside beltway 8 and the commute was getting to be too long for me getting home in the evenings. If it weren't for the long drive to work, I would not have wanted to leave. It is a great location, has a very nice pool, gym, and staff. Anytime I needed anything done, maintenance came as quickly as possible and did a great job solving my issues. The office staff were also so kind and helpful anytime I needed anything. They also host events about once a month for residence such as wine nights and various catering. They were pretty low key, but I always had a nice time. I also appreciated the valet trash and recycling service which was very convenient. I was able to meet some really great people while living there. As said previously about the parking garage, yes it has tight spaces on the north side (side opposite elevators) and usually floors 1-4 are filled up after 6pm. But there is always bound to be a downside to any place. It really isn't that much more effort to park on a higher floor and take the elevator down to your floor if you are concerned for your car (which I often did). I would highly recommend living here if you would like to live inside the loop!

Thanks so much for your review! We are so glad to hear of your positive experience.
You don't have to live in Houston long to reallize that your quality of life is directly related to how much time you spend on the road and in traffic. Living and working inside the loop allows you to enjoy the amenities of living in America's third largest city. Finding a place to live inside the loop that is stylish, functional and affordable can be tricky. I looked at over 50 properties before deciding on The Metropole high rise. It is a converted office building with great views of Houston's many skylines. The design is clean, modern and functional. The rents are affordable and they allow pets- rare for many properties in Houston. The pool is the best amenity of the property and provides a fun social scene on weekends. Management does an adequate job of responding to service requests. If more detail was given to maintenance and upkeep, it would help elevate the feeling of luxury at the property. Parking is the only drawback to the Metropole. Spaces are very narrow and this leads to dings and accidents. My car has been hit three times this year. My permitted car has been towed twice since moving in for being to close to parking lines. Something that is completely unavoidable. This practice of towing tenants for non-emergency reasons is unacceptable. The parking garage is a LONG way from the apartments, so get used to walking. Allow an extra 5-10 mins to get to and from your car and in and out of the garage.
The apartment is very spacious and homey. Although, be aware of the lack of light around the apartment. There is no light in the living room, the two bedrooms, or above the showers. I have had to install lights in the bedrooms, but the bathrooms don't provide a sky light. Besides the inadequate lighting, it is a great apartment, nice young people, and very safe. I just wish I was aware of the lights before I had moved in.
