Property Ratings at Metropolitan
I have rented apartments a lot over the years and I have to say that the Metropolitan has been the absolute best experience I have had. The management staff is fantastic. Glenda is wonderful and made the leasing and move in experience flawless. The apartment was spotlessly cleaned and they put in brand new carpet and pad in the bedrooms before we moved in. We had one issue, our garbage disposal was really loud. We put in a service ticket and Alex, the service manager, came to our unit himself and inspected. He determined on the spot the disposer was unfixable and he went to his on site shop and brought a brand new disposer (still in the box) over and switched it out. I mean he had this done in less than 30 minutes. He is a really nice guy, professional and friendly. Our neighbors are very quite and also friendly. We don't have a pet but if you are a dog owner, this place is for you. They have two dog parks on the property, one for big dogs and one for little dogs. Plus we have private access to the public park next to the complex where there is another dog park, walking trails, work out stations. The fitness center is awesome, the clubhouse is really cool and there is free gourmet coffee in the clubhouse 24 7. There is an onsite courtesy officer (who lives here) and I believe the manager lives on site as well. There is plenty of parking and you can rent a garage if you need one as well. The apartments are very nice, I think the best in Wilton Manors area. I cant say enough positive about it. They run a tight ship here as far as day to day operations and it shows. I highly recommend Metropolitan!

Property Manager at Metropolitan, Responded To This Review
Stephen, thank you for sharing your experience at the Metropolitan! We are so happy to hear that you had such great interactions with our staff and that your time here was enjoyable. If you're ever looking for a home in the area again, our doors are always open!
We recently moved here from New York into a 2 bedroom. Our biggest concern was parking as that was a big issue for us living in NYC. We haven't had any issues and there's always spaces. We've only needed to request maintenance one time and they took care of our request on the same day. The dog park is an awesome ammenity since we don't have to leave the community to let the dogs run. We're very comfortable here!
Just, no. You would think a place that charges so much for a studio apartment would be nice, but think again. The units are built horribly. Yes, the buildings are concrete, a rarity. But the appliances are low-quality for what you pay. Dishwasher is nearly useless. They don’t even put water filters in the fridge of high enough quality to filter out visible contaminants. The tub cracks under your feet while you shower, and the bathrooms are subject to black mold (this is a problem with many residents, not just me). They recently installed speed bumps, which I agree were needed, South Florida drivers are insane. However, they are so tall and at such a grade that our vehicles get SLAMMED on the frame if you don’t go on the wrong side of the road to approach at an angle while driving at 2 mph. Management doesn’t allow you to decorate your balcony with lights for holidays (really?), and you get rude ladies knocking at your door if you just happen to forget to pull in your trash can before 9am, or maybe you’re just sleeping in. The community is active, however its not uncommon for us, as younger men, to be approached at the pool for various ‘activities’. Not to mention the railroad crossing with train horns blaring at least every hour throughout the night.
I moved into Metropolitan during the lease up phase and was the first one living in my 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment is very clean and modern and the kitchen is very spacious. My favorite part is the island, I do a lot of entertaining and it's where we always end up! The amenities are very clean and well kept. The pool looks like something out of a resort and there's a hot tub and cabanas too. They have a lot of cool resident events like open bar Sundays and Food truck nights. The best part for me is they have free fitness classes twice a week in the fitness center w a personal trainer. I've managed to get really in shape since living here lol.
I moved from New York recently . I love Metropolitan !! The staff is amazing , Always helpful and give their best ant any time. I passed hurricane Irma here and I'm shocked with the communication we had in this hard time ( hard for all of us and them) I would recommend this place I call home to everyone :)
I am a current resident at the Metropolitan. When we first moved in I thought it would be a grate place to live. They told us the train horn would be ending shortly after we moved in and that never happened. When I am in the pool and the train goes by I have to plug my ears. It has been over a year since they told us that. The train wakes us all night long. We never get a full nights sleep here. When we complain to the property manager or owners (ascend properties) about anything they act like you are the stupid one.The complex only has one bbq for over 150 units, no security guard but they do have a guard house that they don't ever use for a security guard. Gates into the complex are left open on several occasions where anyone off the street can come onto the property. We live in a 1 bedroom and pay a hearty amount of rent for no full-time security. I have personal seen homeless people roaming the hallways. In my opinion this complex is far far from be anywhere luxury living. I will research where I move into next time.
