Property Ratings at Metropolitan Lafayette Flats
We have LOVED living here. Maintenance is super quick and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly! We wish we didn’t have to leave in a couple months, we would stay here if we could!! Not one bad experience here. Apartments are nicely remodeled and we’ve never had any major maintenance issues. 5 stars all the way. Right downtown too which is great!!
I'm normally not a reviewer but I feel the need to warn people about this management company. Although I loved my apartment and location, when I tried to leave, big problems erupted. Mainly because the people who work for the apartment and the people who work at the corporate office (who really run everything) don't communicate. I had to get out of my lease early because I was moving for a job. The apartment said they would send me one final bill when a new tenant took over. I communicated clearly and often with them and gave them a forwarding address. Right after someone moved in, I found out corporate had put my balance in collections and never sent me a bill. I reached out to the apartment who I had been in constant communication, and they had NO IDEA that my account was in collections or anything that corporate was doing. Then trying to reach anyone at corporate was nearly impossible. I paid the balance in full but they still didn't take it out of collections. I now have a lawyer dealing with them. TERRIBLE VERY SHADY!! Liz in particular at corporate has no idea what she is doing and will actively try to screw you over. Again, the apartment staff is great, but they have no idea what corporate is doing and vice versa. WATCH YOUR BACK!
They are pretty standard apartments. Not really worth the over priced rent. The buildings are old and don’t have central air or heat. Have constantly had problems with heating and nothing seems to get resolved properly. Just temporary fixes until it breaks down again. Very frustrating in these freezing temperatures!!!
