Moved into a unit with bed bugs, roaches, and rats. I've seen pest control once (?) if even at all. I work from home and don't go out often so you'd think that I'd see them since I'm paying a monthly fee for it. On top of that I've been cat called so many times just walking from my apartment to my car I have to openly carry a knife. If you're a woman living alone here... DON'T. Aside from that there are kids that constantly scream outside at all hours of the day. Impossible to block out the sound of their screeches. The pool is disgusting, it gets cloudy after one day of use. I haven't bothered with the laundry room because I don't want to have to go through bed bugs again. At one point a rat chewed through my wall. Which I personally patched up better than the landlord special that's smeared all over every wall in this place. A friend lives in another building from me and her apartment is sinking. We did a test and one part of the kitchen is at a negative 4 degree angle. It feels like you're walking through a fun house. Office staff is essentially useless. You can give them exact detail about a complaint and they find a way to mess it all up still. I wish I could rate this place lower. The only positive is the cheap rent.

If you have other options, I promise living here is now worth it, move somewhere else! Don’t move here find somewhere better please, I wish someone would have told me this. Especially if you’re a woman, there are always creepy dudes standing outside in the parking lot. Roaches. There’s a good chance there is mold in the vents. ( we had the air vents and it didn't help) Bad management. Dangerous Area. And no parking. Always loud music playing that no one does anything about. The pool is always closed. Construction will wake you up at 8 AM with no notice from managment.

I lived here for a short time and was not sure if I wanted to renew me lease or not because the rent is cheap. My deciding factor was a series of crime incidents (break-ins, car burglaries, shooting) these past few months. I no longer live here and feel as if the crime, constant roaches in my unit, and parking lot situation definitely are def deal breakers. Maintenance is nice and the office staff is overloaded with tenants; all the crime stuff I witnessed or heard about. Office never addressed it with community or gave updates

While ALL complexes have a variety of issues, the benefits of Solaris far outweigh any annoyances! I particularly love and appreciate everything they do for the tenants - from providing free turkeys at Thanksgiving and a free gift-wrapping station at Christmas, to many other perks and Covid safe special events! The area is great - centralized to many conveniences - and the office staff is friendly and helpful.

I am a current resident and highly considering ending my lease early. The management is low skilled and uncaring of residential rights. They will tow cars off the uncontrolled/unpaved/unmarked parking lot, whether it's your guest or yourself, a tenant. I have made several points that I feel unsafe as a woman living in this complex, it is not safe, especially at night. The unit is not taken care of, it has been painted over. There are bugs/mold + leakage on the ceiling.

You will be met with inaccurate information on your move. Rent looks cheap, but you'll have at least $200 of small charges added every month. Every person in the office will tell you something different and they'll never own up to it. You will pay for parking spots. The place is infested with roaches (even though you pay for Pest control). The washing machines are always broken, and the pool is never open (and rarely clean). And you will be woken up my neighbor's loud music ALL WEEKEND. (Even if you file a complaint).

The girls up front helped a lot! They really know what they’re talking about! I went in there just to try and see what prices they got and ended up showing me the whole complex! They even took me into one of the apartments to see how they look! They’re great to rent from. Highly recommend it

I been living at solaris for 2 years now. I have been in 2 floors unit of 1 bed room. Now i am at a 2 bed room single floor. The apartment have super quick with my request of service. The first week have problems with roaches, call for a service amd fixes quick, also i have my own poison as preventive issue. The lady's in the office have been exceptional, the service too. Apartment are ok, but could be better. What do i would change. Trash cans around the property so people don't trow the trash on the commons area. I would install washer an d driyers machine that accept credit card. So you don't have to go to the office to deposited on a card. More control regarding the visitor parking. There always full.

The last reviews of Solaris were done a couple years ago and everything has gone way downhill since. I've lived in a one bedroom here for almost a year and have had countless problems. They charge you for pest control but never provide any so everyone has German roaches which are incredibly hard to get rid of. If you have a dog they charge $15 a month in pet rent but the poop bags are ALWAYS empty and they trash bins are never changed and there are holes in all the fence in the dog run area so you can't actually let your dog off leash to run. Good luck getting maintenance to fix anything. It took 3 weeks for them to fix my broken AC and I'm still waiting on them to fix a leak in my ceiling (it's been almost a week). You can leave a message for emergency maintenance but no one will ever call back and they don't show up. Most of the people in the front office will speak to you nicely but they don't actually care about anything and are not helpful. They'll tell you they'll check on the answer to your question and call you back but they never call back. They randomly turned all the spots in one parking lot into "premium reserved" spots that you have to pay extra for every month, I chose to park in a different lot but there are always people without parking permits in the supposedly reserved parking. All in all I've had a terrible experience here.

I have been living here for over a year. It's affordable compared to other apartments in Austin. Everything is near me. I'm about five minutes from downtown and about fifteen from my job in Westlake Hills. I have a great view of downtown. I moved in at the right time because my apartment is worth $1000 a month and I pay $875 for a two bedroom. I love it here
i drive by these apartments everyday and i finally decided to come and check it out. they're great and spacious!
I am calling my apartments wonderful because when me and my daughter need a place at the last minute they were there for us. They speak with, and made all arrangements with my daughter over the phone from her previous home in Waco. My credit was not all that great but they worked with us to get us moved in in least the 2 wks. The apartments are located on Riverside very close to capital metro stops, and many many restaurants. Our balcony over looks downtown Austin and for the price we pay we will be here for a long time coming. Staff are great and all problems are handled within a few days. I recommend Solaris Apartment to all in need of a comfortable living.
My apartment is absolutely my sanctuary. But it has defenatley been tough. I recently moved out of my parents home after living with them for over 5 years helping them both with their disabilities. So having to leave them & the home all together hasnt been easy for me. Its tough knowing youre not around as much to help them plus take care of myself not having much to live off of. Upside is, I only live 30 minutes & could get one of my mom's home cooked meals lol! I don't like to let them know Im struggling. However, the apartments are most defenatley affordible for anone who makes lesse than 40,000/yr. Staff has been beyond helpful & its been an amazing place to live thus far. It's a studio which surprised me because there arent many places in austin with those available so its perfect for me. Not married, no kids lol. The pool area is amazing. The area is 100% convenient. So much close by. Walking distance even. My job is also only 15-20 mins away which does make it alot better. Don't have to use so much gas which is a huge plus!! And only 5-10 mins from downtown so you're near all the fun but far enough from the commotion. I must say it was a blessing finding this place & I am truly happy to be living at the Solaris Apartments in austin tx.
