Situated just outside northwest D.C., Bethesda is a welcoming community that’s perfect for renters who appreciate variety. The shopping, dining, and entertainment scenes on the east side of Bethesda are remarkably extensive, with everything from first-rate art galleries to trendy nightclubs and a truly staggering selection of restaurants.
Between the culinary diversity of Woodmont Triangle, and the retail center that is the Collection at Chevy Chase, Bethesda residents are seldom without entertainment. The city is also bordered by countless parks, golf courses, and mixed-use green spaces, adding to the already vibrant landscape that surrounds the homes and apartments in the region.
The broader community is a fairly quiet collective of suburban neighborhoods, boasting top-notch schools, a low crime rate, and public parks of every size and description. With Washington just a short drive or Metro ride away, it’s easy to see why Bethesda is one of the most popular places for D.C.

Property Ratings at Middlebrooke
For the past several months we have been smelling cigarette smoke in our apartment unit at all hours of the day. Cigarette smoke from other units is circulating in our apartment through the AC/heating units and wallspace. The issue is when other residents smoke indoors the smell of smoke is so strong it's as if someone is smoking in your apartment. We've reported the issue to management, only to be dismissed and told that smoking indoors is allowed at Middlebrooke. It appears another resident even went as far as to print signs asking residents to please smoke on their balconies and not indoors and the signs were immediately removed. Management is extremely quick to respond to negative reviews online but ineffective at actually doing anything to resolve issues affecting the health of residents and their families.

Thank you for your feedback. Please contact the Middlebrooke leasing office at your earliest convenience so that we can have an opportunity to assist you. Please know that although we are not a smoke-free community, when smoke leaves an apartment and goes into others it is considered a disturbance that we can address with your help and additional information. -Matthew Young, Community Manager
If I could l leave a zero I would be extremely tempted. These people just do not understand how to treat their CUSTOMERS. The building is constantly a construction zone, which means there is a "staging area" in the parking lot for the better part of a year. Even when those spots are open there is not sufficient parking for all the residents even though they have these meaningless gates to enter the lot. My tags were recently dead and clearly that is my fault, however, Aldon's contractor thought it would be nice to sick a huge sticker right on my windshield, made it very easy to move my vehicle since it is a Sunday and nobody knows who to contact to stop my vehicle from being towed. Not to mention, the sticker took about 15 minutes to remove w/ a razor blade. Be careful if they make any promises when you move in such as improvements to the building. The Middlebrooke lobby/Lower Level was a completely construction zone also for the better part of a year (upgrades which included a new laundry room and a gym which is now closed again). I've worked with their corporate folks as well on a professional level and even they are idiots turning away good money. They can't even figure out how to send me a new Lease so I can renew, I tried calling and e-mailing my difficulties to them and they are of course slow to respond. Clearly it is time to look for a new place to live and that's exactly what I intend on doing.
This building is perfect if you like access to a wide variety of food from countries such as Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, and much more. Additionally, the metro is just a half mile walk away or there's a bus stop right outside the door. Though the building's entrance and basement are currently being remodeled, the construction happens only during normal business hours. This is the place for you if you enjoy being close to the action of a city but far enough away to be able to sleep ay night.
