I enjoy my apartment, the amenities, garage access and the cleanliness of the property. As a tenant of a couple of months, many features of the apartment weren’t discussed. The light on the balcony, not near the area, the cooling and heating remote wasn’t explained and when I took it downstairs to ask for explanation, no one could explain. Maintenance was called to explain. It was not shared that there is not a communication system for guest visiting…no bell. a guest must use there phone to call a tenant and the tenant must go downstairs to let the guest in the building. The location of Midtown 205 is perfect. Absolutely no complaints when it comes to accessibility to Uptown and the surrounding neighborhoods. My experience working with the Assistant Manager has been stellar. My apartment unit is comfortable, however the windows that were installed have zero capability of blocking out the noise level coming from the street. I don't suspect there is a remedy for this issue, but if there is, I would greatly appreciate this matter being rectified.
It is a great location but the building is not well maintained. A lot of leeking from different areas of the apartment, they tried to fix it but the water keeps on dripping after some time. More molds, and the smell of the floor is disgusting. Seriously need to fix the whole building. The management is poor, for it seems the only matter to them is the money they can get to the renters. No considerations at all. Poor costumer service. As if they owe you a lot. This is not a good place for you if you don’t like headaches. Expensive but poorly operated.
Constant "renovations" resulting in insane noise levels. Renovations can only be done during business hours, so good luck working from home. Allows AirBnB rentals, but never notified residents. The AirBnB clientele aren't ran through a stringent background check, so enjoy feeling like you're in a hotel. Security is none, I think they have 4 cameras on the property total (only 1 on the first level of a 5 level parking garage which has been broken into before). Who knows if these cameras even work. Door are constantly broken allowing entry to anyone who pleases! I don't feel safe walking from my apartment to other locations in the building due to lack of security. Says they are a smoke-free community, but the smell says different. Had a cigarette dropped on me from above while at the pool this summer. I would never recommend living here to anyone. Leaving as soon as my lease is up. Much better places nearby that are the same price range. Don't let their prices or deals fool you, there's a good reason why they have to have AirBnBs and corporate units to make up for units they can't fill. Worst place I have ever lived - my college apartment was better and that's saying a lot.
This building is poorly maintained. There is no daily cleaning, sweeping or mopping of the resident hallways. Trash piling up in garage.

Midtown 205 is in a GREAT location. However, the building and it's security { car break ins} is a big issues. Also, the overall cleanliness of the building is POOR unless you are on the first floor. Cable service is POOR, WIFI connection is POOR and these are all services that are included in your rent that you have no option to opt out or change to a better product. Overall This building and it's up keep is poorly managed.

Nothing like lying awake at 1am on week night because the neighbors are blasting their music. Despite multiple complaints to the office over the last year, this is still going on because the residents violating the quiet hour rules are part of the construction crew renovating the apartment building.
My daughter and I fell in love with this area and the amenities it offers. We cannot say enough great things about Mike, property mgr. He continues to be most helpful if we ever need an answer to something. I feel great having let my college student live here by herself. It feels very safe and she has EVERYTHING within a few blocks!! We love Midtown 205
I’ve lived at Midtown 205 for almost 2 and a half years. I rented a studio and then upgraded to a one bedroom. The transfer process was extremely easy and pain free. Overall, I loved the former management, so I was skeptical when the new team took over. It’s been a few months now and I can honestly say living here is even better. We used to get weekly fire alarms that have finally been taken care of. We now have wood floors in the hallways which are far better than carpet considering the property is pet friendly and accidents happen. I wasn’t a fan of the Fetch mail service like previous reviews, but it has been discontinued and it says a lot about the management that they listened to tenants and provided a better solution. The views of the city from my apartment are amazing. Our neighbors are quiet and very respectful. I really feel like I scored when I found Midtown 205 in 2020. I’ll be sad to go when the time comes to leave.
Honestly it’s been HELL! From the fire alarms - to the waking up 3-4 times at night ( walls are soo thin ) you hear everything from the neighbors to outside . The neighbors are college kids that don’t care about partying every other night - no sleep even on weekdays. Just bad! Management acts like they’ll try to help yet it’s been weeks and nothing resolved. Move somewhere else the building is not worth it! And if you work from home the WiFi will not cover two people working it’s soooo slow it doesn’t reach some rooms
Horrible experience visiting my daughter here, loud music , no way of sleeping until 2 am. Cops were called and never showed up! Manager does nothing to help, we have been two days with little to no sleep, this was supposed to be a vacation trip for me and I feel horrible that she has to deal with this and my grandson
I have lived here for a year now and the fire alarms have gone off in the middle of the night over 15 times. Last night the alarms went off three times at 12:30, 2:00 and 4:00 A.M. Besides the obvious lack of sleep, there is now a serious safety situation because a lot of residents do not exit the building when the alarms go off. Each time, we have to wait outside for about 10 to 20 minutes and wait for the fire department to check the building. The staff has assured me for the past year that the problem is being fixed but evidently that has not happened. Calls to the parent company, CWS Apartment Homes, LLC, have proven not helpful.

This property has the best amenities! There is a huge clubroom with a pool table, a massive fitness center that has both a separate yoga room and a spin room, a dog spa that is the easiest place to bathe your dog, a resident hub where the mailboxes are - that has Starbucks coffee available 24/7. And there is a beautiful pool that is secluded from the outside world. You can literally walk across the street to Target. Also within walking distance is all kinds of shopping and restaurants. The Marq is the perfect, luxury, uptown living experience!
I have zero complaints. The Marq 205 is amazing. I always feel so at home here. Thank you guys.
My roommate and lived here July ‘18-July ‘19 and we lived it! Perfect location close to uptown but outside of the busy city center. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Loved the layout of our apartment. Both rooms have spacious walk in closets. Kitchens are beautiful with new appliances. Definitely recommend this place!
Very affordable living and good services. Lived here less than a year and never had any issues. Maintenance is pretty quick to respond to issues and if they don't within 24 hours they will waive your payment for the day. There are mandatory charges which is the only issues I had with even if you move out the apartment (cable, trash, pest). The valet trash fee is $27 and very strict with the rules which is ridiculous (limits how many trash bags you can have and if there are extra on the floor they will not take it). The layout of the apartment is also a little strange with the open air building but if doesn't bother you then it is a great place to live.
Wonderful and caring staff, never have had a problem they couldn’t solve. Can’t say enough about how welcome i feel when approaching them with a concern or question. Would highly recommend to my friends or family to live here!
I cannot say enough good about this place and the staff here, everyone is so accommodating and truly nice! From the front office team to the maintenance group, everyone goes above and beyond. The amenities are wonderful and the place is always so well kept. From a location standpoint, you're close to the interstates, walking distance (2 mins) from Target, Trader Joe's, Chipotle,Zoe's and other great restaurants. I highly recommend Marq Midtown 205 to anyone who is looking!
We lived here from June'16 - June'17 when we were between selling and buying a new home. We have nothing but positive stuff to say about this place. From the beautiful apartment with upscale fixtures, incredible location, hotel like amenities to regular social events - this was like a luxury resort . The residents are mostly professionals - many doctors (in residency) and engineers working uptown and were always very pleasant and friendly to interact with. We had 3 maintenance requests over 1 year and each time they were fixed within no time. Example: the brand new AC broke on a Saturday -- the maintenance person was in the apartment in 2 hours. When they realized the problem was with the unit, they got a portable AC in to our apartment until they could replace the compressor. Our dryer wasn't working well one evening (around 7 pm) and the maintenance person came in by 8pm! Despite its close to uptown location the place was super-safe for my family (with a 6 year old daughter). Top-notch in communication and responses. When we bought a home we needed some proof of residence and the lender was trying to reach the management at odd-times. When I mentioned this to the management, they went out of the way to connect with the lender and ensure the transaction was smooth. Thanks to the ultra-efficient and professional Brittney and Shelley. They would always respond within a few hours - I cannot truly think of a single time when my call wasn't answered or returned promptly. Same with email. More importantly, they knew their stuff. Everything from the most important lease details - we had to break our lease after we bought a home - was communicated very clearly. We were originally concerned about living in an apartment after 10 years of home ownership (and with a child!) and consoled ourselves that this was temporary and we would move into a new home soon. We looked at many apartments in Southend and Uptown before settling on this one mainly because of the upscale fixtures, amenities and great school district. So glad we did. We were sad when we moved out and miss this place!
I'm absolutely in love with this place. The location is conveniently close to Uptown and Myers Park and the amenities are great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and upbeat. My neighbors are friendly and respectful. The events are also great!!!! I LOVE living here! :)
These brand new apartments are located in the PERFECT location. Right beside Metropolitan Midtown there is a plethora of shops, dining and bars. Whether you want to drop into Trader Joes, grab a million things at Target or get some fresh grub from Zoes Kitchen, you can literally step off this property and right into all these places. 5-7 blocks from the Epicentre and a short drive to NoDa, Plaza Midwood or South End. This brings chic, city living to a whole new level! Can't wait to move in!! LOVE!
