Property Ratings at Midtown 24
Avoid at all costs. I thought about living here at one point in time and even paid $400+ to apply. After deciding on somewhere else I have been sent to collections over $115 that I had paid when applying. This place is definitely a nightmare and I am super glad to have avoided living there. If they are sending me to collections over $115 that I have already paid, imagine what they would do if you lived there. Nightmare. Avoid.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback as a prospective resident. Given the private nature of your specific situation, we would like to discuss your concerns directly. Please contact us at midtown24@alapts.com.
This is by far the worst management team and human beings. They ignore emergencies, have horrible protocols and systems to handle situations. The fire alarms went off for an entire week so do not try to work from home. Instead of addressing concerns, management threatens to evict you if you have concerns. They without notification tack fees and charges so always make sure to check your accounts. For example they'll charge you one hundred dollars if you accidently leave your key fob in your apartment and need maintenance to open the door. The amenities are disgusting. The stream room is moldy. There are never soap or paper towels in the bathrooms and walked into elevators with dog urine often. They promise apartment upgrades so I signed a new lease expecting the upgrades but they never delivered on the upgrades and then pretended they never offered them which baited me into signing the lease. If you have an emergency at night, the technicians will not answer. If you call multiple times then they will block your phone number. They never want to do their jobs, are rude, and is like pulling teeth to get maintenance done. There are always police showing up around the complex and scary situations. The hot tub and amenities are frequently out of order. When they gave me the apartment initially on movein it was riddled with bugs and mold and I had to battle management for them to clean it up. It was nothing like the pictures online. The fact that you have to battle with management for everything is absurd. Stay away. There are plenty of new places in Plantation with professionals opening up.

I just moved in around 2 months ago. I love the staff! Everyone is sweet and helpful to the point of becoming friends. This community is beautiful and I have an amazing view from my balcony. At night I look out at Fort Lauderdale and watch the light show from the Guitar Hotel. Everything here is clean and well maintained, and that's why I decided to live here. The first week I moved in I attended a New Years get together. I had the most fun playing Charades and drinking champagne with my new neighbors/friends. Last week was the Valentine's day party with live music. There is so much to do here I could go on forever. I'm home and I love this place!!

Karen, thank you for the 5-star rating! We are pleased to learn that you have had a positive experience in our community.
Even with all the competition around with newer and nicer complexes in the area, not even with in mind you receive a good customer service, the noise is unbearable and they still raise your rent, asked to moved to another unit but after the way the always make us feel in the office like we are bothering we decided to go to another community, don’t bother moving here, is been 8 months of annoying repairs and the amenities are always closed even when must communities continue to have them open. Imposible to get a hold of corporate for help.

Horrible staff and absolutely disgusting move in. Super out dated apartments. If you have any requests or issues, expect the staff to ignore them and you have to go through multiple hoops with different answers. When I first moved in, I walked into toilets that were black and moldy, there were insects infested everywhere, and a spider web outside my door. It took weeks for the insects to disappear after constant complaints. You have to stay on top of them otherwise they will forget you and their prior commitments, such as the promised deep cleanings after the insects. They also give you notifications days to weeks late with false notification dates on the paper work. I also had a broken dryer when I first moved in. I complained about the dryer for over a year before they replaced it. They will erroneously charge you fees and come up with excuses not to reverse them. The refrigerator is almost non-functional due to a wall blocking you from opening the freezer. Staff told me to pull the whole refrigerator out to put bulkier groceries in which is bad if you go to Costco . They will not change the refrigerator. They give old heat attracting blinds for non conventional windows in the complex. A quote to get least expensive basic black out curtains were close to 2000 dollars. Management has refused to supply that. My air condition has broken down multiple times, the plumbing is disgusting and there are days where faucets spew yellow and black water. Don't get me started on the annual renewal...some of the options they gave me were a 25 percent increases. The only pluses are a nice area and amenities.

I have lived here for a year and a half and can’t see any of the one star reviews being true. If even a lightbulb goes out maintenance has been in within a few hours to change it. I never hear my neighbors and they do fun events every month. (Taco Tuesday, wine night, movies, gym classes etc). Neighbors are nice, close to walk to everything, and clean. The washer and dryer could be more updated but they are working on those things with new management. I definitely recommend living here.

What a fantastic review! Thank you so much for your kind words about our staff's prompt service, our friendly community, and fun events. We're glad you're enjoying your experience!
Since the new management company took over the place is dirty they don't vacuum or clean the hallways. The garage door is always broken so anyone can just come in. The old management company stayed on top of everything. Now it smells like wet dog when you come in.

Complained to the office about neighboring dog constantly barking and nothing got resolved! Beyond fed-up with Midtown 24 and the lack of professionalism! I pay rent and my voice should be heard as well! Looks nice but in all reality, it's not a quiet place to live!! Besides the dogs barking, doors are slamming throughout the day like its a freaking hotel and nobody cares??? I really can't wait for my lease to expire! Ugh... RECOMMENDATION AVOID!!!

I have moved around a lot during the last 12 years. I have lived in about 10 different apartment communities, and I must say that Midtown 24 is the best community I have ever lived in. The premises are spotless. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. The location is absolutely amazing. It's in walking distance of everything you could need. Most of all, the people are incredibly nice and inviting. Alyssa and Anne are always so helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, I am moving to California soon, and I'm so sad to live Midtown 24. I highly recommend this community. You will not be disappointed.

I love living at Midtown 24. All of the staff are amazing and I would like to live here forever.

Thank you so much for your leaving us your review.
They are very responsive and called me after hours to confirm they received my application and made me feel like I was important more than just another client
Love!!love!!love this apartments!!!cannot wait to move-in!! I was just mesmerized by all the amenities and how well organized and clean this place is!!! I’m just completely in love!!
PHENOMENAL! I have never had management be so friendly, show me multiple options and actually listen to me and give me other options based on my wants and needs. Allysa was beyond amazing. I can’t wait until i can actually move in! So excited!
I would recommend the community due to the location and the apartment itself. I would not recommend due to the overall upkeep of the community. I don’t think the buildings are maintained in line with the rent we pay to live here. I am dissatisfied with the overall cleanliness of the building and I think there should be on site security.
There are a lot of dogs at Midtown 24! Lately, the dogs have had "accidents" in the elevators and the owners do not seem to be taking responsibility for it. Also, due to my work schedule, I find it difficult to pick up my packages during the available times. Alyssa has been willing to deliver some of them, but I hate to bother her. If there was someone at the front desk or a new "package pick-up" system, I would be VERY grateful!1! I would also love a new washer/dryer. The one in my unit is extremely old, loud and inefficient. Thank you!
I love the amenity options!!!!! Seriously, I'm in love with this property. The only way I won't rent here is if I find a lower rent price at another property because I'm more into opportunities to save money and invest my money in my own assets, rather than to invest in someone else's property.
the entire complex is beautiful! My greatest challenge was completing the application online and securing a unit at the "sale" rate. Alyssa's hands were tied on both. I would like to move in on 10/1/17 and found it VERY difficult to convey my relocation circumstances within the application process. I did not find it user friendly and found that I had to reenter information. If a representative in the finance area would like to speak with me, I would appreciate that. I am hoping that it works out for me to live there! Thank you very much!
I would gladly moved back to the same place but I would not recommend it to any military or government personnel.
A little pricey for the living space, but a great community nonetheless. The amenities are top notch! I little disappointed with my pet owning neighbors who weren't as responsible as they should be.
I love my home. I feel safe and happy at Midtown 24 and very proud to have family and friends visit. The building is meticulously maintained, is bright, cheerful and very nicely decorated. There is a wonderful comradery among residents. Everyone is respectful, cheerful and helpful.
That new coffee in the new machine is just nasty and bitter. The only thing worthwhile is the hot chocolate. And unfortunately since children keep making a mess, it can only be used at 5 am to 2 pm which sucks for people who worked an early day time job. Bring back the coffee in the canisters. That coffee machine is just a huge waste of money I think.
This community encompasses an upbeat, yet practica Lifestyle while encouraging participation in all activities Residents are friendly and respectful. Staff truly impart concern for everyone's needs.
It is on the pricier side of other apartment buildings. It does have the bells and whistles I was looking for, although I think the building can do better with at minimum monthly events or a small something for the residents.
I'm bothered by the "Crying Wolf" postings on policies that are not upheld. I don't smoke yet nothing is done to those that violate the policy other than sending flyers. Same with pet policy, people don't always walk their dog on leash especially after hours and I've seen young kids nearly attacked by dogs in lobby not on a leash. Soiled carpeting in hallways from pets and moving, markings on walls from furniture moves. Parking in front of building is never upheld. A visitor can never park because tenants park in front where signs clearly state for "Future Residents". I have my vehicles registered yet I come into parking garage and still see vehicles that are unregistered (no sticker) and the don't park correctly, often using two places. People abuse the privileges of the Pool Table, Piano and Large TV. Banging on piano keyboard not playing music, unplugging the Big Screen and leaving it where others can't view it because it's disconnected, etc. Stop sending flyers, and "Crying Wolf", take action!!!!
The price is cost-prohibitive to many people - multiple friends have not signed here because of the price and have signed up downtown for the same price with more features.
Currently living in a 1/1, and have been here for 3 months. The office staff is beyond great. My last place had many issues with office staff, but since I moved in, the same staff has been here and has been personable and helpful since day 1. The building is always clean, and I like the fact there is coffee downstairs every morning so when you are running late you can grab a cup. Pool area is almost always empty and quiet, and same with the gym. I like the fact they have free weights, however, lacking a bench rack. The apartment itself is nice with a great sized balcony. Only had 1 issue with the dishwasher, which was resolved by maintenance within that same morning. Only complaint is water bill is huge! I was out of town for 3 weeks and still managed a $75 bill when I wasnt here for 75% of the time. A huge plus is you cannot hear your neighbors upstairs or next door which was a huge problem for me in the past. Location is great, lots of shops and restaurants. Also plenty of sidewalks surrounding the building to walk dogs. Also very convenient to 595 and University has everything you need within minutes. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking in the Plantation/Ft Lauderdale area.
Pros: Midtown 24 is a great apartment community. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They organize community outings and entertainment to create a much more enjoyable living. Maintenance is very quick to solve any issues with you unit. Clean and Modern Looking, Luxury spaces. Quite a nice pool area with a very complete gym and fitness activities. There is a Spa on-site, Hair Salon, Gym, Nutrition Store. The common area is fantastic for parties and inviting people over for any kind of event you might like to host in the building. Cons: I think there are too many pets around the building. But that is just my point of view. Pets have been known to do number one in the elevator. Cleaning staff does get to it quickly but sometimes its just impossible. Area is very good, quiet, and you have almost anything you want less than 5 min walk. including Supermarket, Dry Cleaning, Restaurants, Department Stores, etc. Overall Great experience in general with Midtown 24! Great job!
