Shady apartments
Ever since they have changed to management got new staff it’s been unpleasant. They by far are the worse. The leasing agents and managers have attitude, incompetent, are terrible about getting back to when there’s issues. Do not waste your time renting here. It’s sad because the employees before were so much nicer.

Dont move here its hell
Nothing works and nothings get fixed and nobody cares. 3 different management companies in 3 years. All blame the others and say they are different. dont move here, it's hell grounds are also dead and disgusting but maintenance is non existent

Poor management and property upkeep
The office staff is constantly changing, the office staff is super rude and dismissive no matter who is in office. The pool is always dirty when it’s open and closed when it’s extremely, visibly dirty- instead of routine cleaning to avoid those problems. The charge us amenity fees for amenities we cannot use. Gym equipment is always missing. Property is not well kept.

Noisy Apartment
There’s a dog on the 3rd floor of building F that’s on the balcony all day and night. It barks at all dogs and people. The office has been called by surrounding residents and nothing has been done. People are yelling telling the dog to “shut up”! It has been a year and a half now. The office has been called, emailed and I’ve made a personal visit. At this point, the resident and the dog should be off the premises immediately!! This apartment complex does not care about their residents. I shouldn’t have to make a complaint every month.

I enjoy having a fireplace, and an balcony is a must for me. Exterior lighting could be improved and bulbs need to be replaced to feel safe walking at dusk and beyond. The 2/2 floor plan is great! Lots of room and has good flow.

Aside from lack of control over the rent prices, I have no quips with the on site staff (Patricia, Rodreka) at Milano Apartments. In my experience, they address concerns respectfully/considerably, and resolve what they can. They inform you of the options, and what they are/aren't able to do. As it is with most properties. I do wish that other residents were more tactful and stealthy with their "recreational activities". The aroma tends to linger, and with or without family and guests over, it gets unpleasant.

I do not recommend this complex due to the fact that living here 2 years and management has changed multiple times and aren’t available when needed. The trash piles up, the gates don’t work and I’ve had an ongoing leak all this month.

As we know its so hot during the summers in Texas and my AC went out. I was very pleased that they got it fixed within the same day, because sleeping with no AC is the struggle! The maintenance man was quick and pleasant too.

I have been a resident of Milano since 2012 and have witnessed the various office managers staff etc and through it all I am still here and consider Milano my Home and have referred two residents since I have been here and they are happy to be here based on my referral. Whenever Ive had maintenance issues they have managed to respond in a timely manner. And I feel safe living here.

The maintenance customer service is great (while doing labor), but no one answers the emergency phone number, my air conditioning went out over 10 times in a 2.5 month spand, i feel my situation was not taken as seriously as it should. I had to spend hundreds of dollars to sleep in a hotel with my 3 year old due to no air for days to a week at a time.

The living community has good amenities, (gym, pool) however, from my experience it seems the units were cheaply made. You can hear almost everything from nearby tenants and people outside. In addition, I've had to submit too many maintenance requests in the short amount of time I've lived here. I wouldn't recommend this living community if you want peace and quiet.

Apt Management lacks human touch and it's not the safest!
I have lived here for 18 months and my experience until recently had been fine. The new management/company (greystar) that took over these apts have done a lot to improve it and do a good job of maintaining it. I understand a lot of break-ins happen in Houston and that no apt is completely safe. Having said that, I was out of the country for 6 weeks and when I got back, someone had gotten into my apt, stolen a laptop, an old phone and spare keys to my car and stole the car from the property. The part that concerns or scares me is that it wasn't a forced entry. If someone has broken in, then changing the locks would help. But in this case the locks and doors are intact and the door was newly painted and had absolutely no scratches or marks of forced entry on it. It's like someone had a key to my apt and walked right in and took exactly what they had wanted which was my car. I was definitely being watched while leaving and someone knew I wasn't in my apt. Having said this, I really don't feel safe living here anymore and I'm just waiting for my lease to end so that I can leave. All I got from the leasing office was, "break-ins happen everywhere and not just here, all we can do is change the locks". No empathy or concern or curiosity when I was telling them that it was a clean entry and it's almost like someone had a key. I'm not accusing anyone, but it is definitely something that needed to be looked into. I'm not saying this apt complex staff is bad or not responsive; but don't expect them to show any concern or go out of their way to understand how this could have happened. I truly had no issues with this apt till this incident, and I'm only leaving because I don't feel safe living here anymore. I wish them the best, but you've lost me as a resident and I won't be recommending this place to anyone moving forward. Note: Install cameras in your apt or some sort of video surveillance system. I was told by the police to do this as a pre-cautionary measure.

Milano is a great community overall. I think theres definitely room for improvement. Its a great location and has really great amenities.

don’t move here
Living here since 2016 but seems like this will be my last year. Looks like the new management has no idea how to run an apartment complex. There is so many problems but even for the minor issues they took almost a month to finish 1 work order and when u tell them why it's taking long so the answer is they have a lot of work orders and only 1 or 2 workers to fix things wow secondly i already told them twice that my neighbor smokes weed in their apartment and all day i have to smell that for real. I have two kids under 3 years but seems like they don't care and no positive response. This community is not like it used to be so better don't waste your time coming here .

Also I firmly believe the community was better off before GREYSTAR came around. It seems everywhere they take over, their main concern is to nickle and dime the residents out of hard earned coin, creating a cycle to keep them in apartments rather than moving on to home ownership, whereby the can continue to nickle&dime.
