Known for its lakefront location and welcoming community, Gainesville is a family-friendly city on one of Georgia’s premier lakes, Lake Lanier. Just north of the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus, this city offers a youthful atmosphere and affordable apartment and condo rentals. Gainesville provides public and charter schools in the Gainesville City School System and Hall County Schools.
Enjoy public access to the lake through multiple locations in Gainesville, such as River Forks Park. With a sandy beach on the water, residents and visitors can swim in the lake, access the boat ramp, use the campsites, and more. Though Longwood Park doesn’t have a sandy beach, it does have water access for swimming, as well as its own public dock.
Surrounding Gainesville Square, you’ll find Downtown Gainesville with plenty of shopping, local businesses, restaurants, and historical sites such as the Northeast Georgia History Center.

Property Ratings at Mill at New Holland
We just picked up our keys yesterday. Securing the apartment was a process that was made as smooth as possible with the help of Ms. Calli and Ms. Dominique (please forgive me if I misspelled your names). These ladies answered every question I had and were patient and kind. The complex itself is very nice and clean. The apartment is well kept and clean. Thank you!
My experience was great, I received great customer service and the staff was friendly and helpful and willing to answer all my questions and concerns.
Since 2020 they already changed 3 times administration, every time is getting worse. There's a lot of new residents that aren't very clean, you can see open boxes in the package room like someone is trying to stole others residents packages and locker doors leave it open. Is a smoke free community and in some areas you can smell weed. There's a lot to improve or instead of a luxury community in a blink of an eye it could be a ghetto community.
We have had a great experience so far in every aspect of our move to The Mill! The amenities are great- the pool, fire pit, grills, cornhole, game table inside the clubhouse and of course the coffee bar are all amazing! Only thing we are missing is a play area for all the kids but they have lots of fun on their bikes and scooters anyway
The Mill has been a pleasant living space. I feel the amenities and the rent are worth what I pay. I especially love the location and getting to walk to Senor Fiesta for Mill Monday!
Been here a week. It’s very quiet and everyone is friendly. The apartment is clean and in good shape. Love the location and its convenience to things.
I love living in these apartments and I love the location. Any problems or questions that I have had have been dealt with promptly! People do need to clean up after there pets! There are disposal areas all around the complex so it shouldn’t be difficult . But these are minor things that I know will be resolved. I’ve enjoyed it so far
Solid apartments with a great amount of room. The community center is by far one of the best in Hall county. Beautiful pool, amazing patio space.
Una gran experiencia, me gusta y hasta los momentos no he tenido quejas en nada me gusta todo, los recomiendo 100% la atención es espectacular
I love the location, my floor plan, and the community around me. The only reason I gave less than a five star rating is because of the constant issue with the access through the security doors in my building. I really like that they are there, but it's an issue when they don't work when you want to let a guest inside. A small inconvenience, but one nonetheless.
I love The Mill! The apartments are so spacious and updated. The grounds are always clean, and everyone is so friendly! The location is perfect.
Have been here two years and have not had a problem. Nice apartments, nice clubhouse, nice pool, nice gym. Just a nice place to live. Really great community.
The amenities are great, but sometimes it can be a little loud living right next to the entrance. The staff are friendly and everything is kept clean.
I love being a resident at The Mills! Lovely apartment complex with great amenities, and also always very clean! And staff is very friendly and helpful.
Overall I am pleased with my apartment. I have had a problem with my oven working for several months. Maintenance has been working to resolve it. However it still doesn’t work. It’s frustrating to pay high rent and something not work.
Honestly it feels like they don't take care of the place.... Bugs in the apartments, tons of tear on the ceiling at the entrance of our building, there's a lounge but apparently the pool sticks went missing months ago and they STILL haven't replaced them, etc.
We just moved in and so far it’s been a great experience. The staff have been exceptionally helpful; especially Josephine. The apartments seem to be well insulated because we never hear our neighbors.
We love living here! We feel safe and the grounds are kept beautifully manicured. Staff is quick to complete any maintenance request made my us.
Great and beautiful community! I like the luxury apartments and this is just beautiful, the gym the lobby and the pool were my favorite, just lovely
Great apartments, staff, community, and location. Have been here a year and plan to stay. Nice amenities are a huge plusS Definitely recommend The Mill!
Overall a nice place to stay. People could be cleaner with their dog droppings. Nice pool and the Apts try to create events that are appreciated.
Living at the Mill New Holland has been a very pleasant experience so far, nice amenities including a great gym, responsive staff and office
The Mill is a great place to live the location is near downtown, grocery stores are in walking distance! Only thing it needs is a Kid Park!!
I love the neighborhood and everything their provide so peaceful this a nice place to raise your kids. The sevice is great any time you call for help
I love it here at The Mill at New Holland! All Staff and maintenance are helpful and do a lot for the community. Location is great and I love the pool and outdoor areas.
We love living here and are very pleased with the amenities and how friendly everyone is! The buildings are always very clean and maintenance is very quick to respond to needs.
This apartment complex has been fantastic in communication, repairs, and continuing events. They ensure that there are things to do and the location is fantastic. The only downside is the trash compactor can get backed up occasionally but it's out of their control since people dump stuff over there. They always clean it up quickly.
Very spacious and neat area ! Easy access to groceries and many more things just a walk away . The club house has many different options to choose from , it’s one of a kind !
I love living here. Always clean gym and clubhouse. Maintenance and office staff friendly and helpful. Grounds kept up nicely . Friendly neighbors .
I’m happy to say that the Mill community is clean, safe, great amenities and the office is friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend living here. Thank you!
Quiet places always give people quality of life. A beautiful sunrise every morning from our balcony is priceless, it gives you the perfect boost to begin a positive and productive day.
Love the convenience to everything!! The staff are nice and welcoming. The apartments are beautiful. So happy I chose to live here again!!!!
The Mill at New Holland is a great place to stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the complex is beautiful, and you can't find anything better for the price.
I have loved being at The Mill, but I am growing tired of apartment life. Not everyone follows the guidelines of the community. New management has changed their stance on things like having outside flowers and parking. Things that were once okay no longer are and those things made this life more enjoyable not just tolerable. Our location is great, but the changes are frustrating. It seems like every week we face a guideline change that makes life less enjoyable. I am ready to build and move.
Mine and my husband’s experience has been great! We have enjoyed living at the mill at new holland. We highly recommend it to others looking to live in an apartment.
I was one of the first to move into Building 1000 in September 2020. So thankful it was only supposed to be a short stay as the management is horrible. They show zero empathy and support for the residents. They promised all of these community events, resident appreciation days and bragged about their on-site convenience store. I moved out in June and there was only one community appreciation day, a coffee/food truck. Woohoo! not. At least one of the elevators in my building constantly had service issues, resulting in an alarm that would sound for days at a time every minute or so that could be heard through the walls. Not to mention people walking upstairs and doors constantly slamming in the breezeway/hallways all hours of the day and night. For this community to be advertised as luxury you would think they would have spent money on insulating against some of these noises. The peel & stick vinyl tile floors were nice, but before I moved in showed signs of wear and cheap quality with corners curling up. Let's not forget that the front gate, something that people like to have for safety - stayed open for days at a time resulting in theft. The convenience store was never restocked, they sold old beverages and snacks and one day they just shut it down - this was 2-3 months before I moved out. The management team is a joke, they do not care about the residents at all. If a package gets delivered and stolen - it's on the resident, they take zero responsibility. At move out, they ask for forwarding address and contact information, I accidentally left a box with 4+ Yeti cups in it, did I receive a phone call or any communication regarding it after I turned my fob in and couldn't gain access to get it? Nope. As soon as I turned the fob in I gave up any right to anything left behind I was told. It's not their responsibility to communicate or let residents know. No lost and found, no hold for so many days - because you know, moving isn't one of the most stressful times people go through and something happen. If you're in dire need of a place - this might work for a few months, but definitely not to call "home".
I have lived here since May 2020 and have absolutely ZERO complaints. The staff is amazing and responsive to requests and my apartment is gorgeous. I love the granite countertops and the natural light in my apartment is perfect! The washer and dryer in unit is a huge plus, too. Definitely the most high-end community around.
All request takes a minimum of 7 days to resolve or never addressed. I called staff with an issue about my dwelling and her response was “that’s no our problem.” In which it was. Major issues with ants also, They occupy main living areas, complained numerous times, management just advise pest spray and states everyone has that issue here and I’m not the only one. Highly considering termination of lease. Not pleased with my experience thus far.Only been here for 6 months. Not sure what happened to the initial amazing staff upon signing lease but new management is never helpful with issues surrounding apartments issues and inconsistent in promises and timelines. Highly expensive but with out reason. Not worth it in my opinion.

Both of my neighbors are loud. The neighbor below me is actively playing video games from 2am to 9am every night yelling at his tv. I can hear him perfectly and I haven't gotten a good night rest since i got here. My neighbor on my side blasts their music during the day. This wouldn't be an issue if the sound insulation wasn't so terrible. I work from home so peace and quiet is all I am looking for. If you like having a quiet place to yourself here. Please stay away. Since even normal volume conversations can be heard in your room.
The floors are really thin. The apartments are pet friendly but don’t let your dog bark or walk on the floor.. that’s outside the normal standard of living ??
