Mill Valley Estates

Mill Valley Estates is a very lovely, peaceful, and beautiful place to live. I have lived here almost twenty- four years. It is a safe place to live. There are cameras in the parking lots and security guards at night. The grounds are beautiful and are kept very clean. The apartments are kept nicely inside and outside. Maintenance is done well. The management tries hard to build a sense of community with special events through out the year. You can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet here!

My review is that the apartment itself is good and satisfactory for the price. however the service for renters has been awful. I have repeatedly been given incorrect information about the apartment itself, the application process, my payments, and all other aspects of living at Mill Valley by realtor staff themselves. There is no responsiveness to issues had and seemingly little care about renters.

I have lived at Mill Valley Estates for twenty three years. I love it here. The apartments are spacious, sunny, and modern. Each apartment has two bathrooms, a regular size washer and dryer hook ups, a dishwasher, and efficient air conditioning. Maintenance is good and the common areas and grounds are kept immaculately. The lawns are very well tended, there are really nice trees, and there are very beautiful flower gardens. We even have a big family of deer that pass through the woods that you might catch a glimpse of at twilight. Heat and hot water is included in the rent. You have access to high speed internet, package handling, a play ground, a fitness room, a resident garden, walking paths, a basketball court, and ample parking, excellent snow and ice removal in the parking lots and the place is beautifully landscaped. There are security cameras on all parking lots and buildings, there is very good lighting, and there are evening security guards. There is a picnic area with grills and tables and you can have a grill or outside furniture and plants on your patio. There are even little book houses where you can donate a book or take a book. The book houses have benches next to them where you can sit surrounded by a beautiful flower garden, read, or visit with neighbors. There is a resident portal where you can pay your rent online and buy and sell on or send a message to other residents on. The site also has interest groups so you can meet your neighbors. Maintenance is good here. The residents here are a mix of students, some long term residence and new families and we all seem to get along. There are six two bedroom handicapped apartments like mine that are very handicap accessible. They are two, three, and four bedroom apartments here. This is a peaceful, quiet, and friendly place to live. I think that people feel good about living here and happy people get along well with their neighbors. Everybody is welcome here and people look out for one another, which gives it a home town feeling. People live here from all over the country and all over the world while they go to school or settle in the area. We are ten minutes from town and there is a very close by bus service.

This place is great! Great location clean grounds and beautifully landscaped. The staff are friendly and always there to help. Love living in this community.

The apartments are clean, open, and comforting. We really enjoy being able to have a washer and dryer in our apartment, and our cats love the trees and nature everywhere!

I love Mill Valley Estates and I have lived here for almost twenty two years. I love the grounds and the apartment. It is a safe, quiet, friendly, and beautiful place to live. I love the sunny living room and up to date appliances and fixtures. I love that staff is attentive, professional, and extremely polite. This means a lot to me. There are many amenities that make it nice to live here, from well kept grounds which include garden plots, walking paths, benches near little library houses and flower beds that are spectacular for all the growing season, to the exercise room and state of the art washers and dryers. We are on the bus route and this is a real plus because although this place has a rural feel to it, we are close to everything we could possibly need.

I remember when this place feel like home. The ladies in the office were so nice and gave us the most fun stuff and times. I do not know what happened, but we had no anything for a long time. They paint the bench it look so sad. So expensive but nothing nice anymore.

Grounds are kept very clean and maintained. I would highly recommend Mill Valley to anyone looking for a nice place to live in Amherst.

This is a great place to live. The peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings make it a pleasant place to call home. It is close to stores, and the town center but far enough away to not have a lot of traffic. The management here and maintenance here are top notch. Everything has been updated! We have a community garden, a play ground, nice flower beds, little libraries, sitting benches, great sidewalks, a walking trail, a bike fixing station, electric car charging stations, and an exercise room. We are close to a bus stop too.

Mill Valley has become my home of 19 years. It is conveniently located, quiet and well maintained. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. They do their best to accommodate residents in all sorts of situations. Plus, it’s impossible to beat 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms! The larger family sized living areas are amazing and are a great place for roommates to live also. We are surrounded by nature- rabbits and deer pass by and there are farm animals right up the street. Drive 2-5 minutes in any direction and you are at shops, colleges, restaurants and public parks or bike trails, etc. Mill Valley provides the best of all worlds.

I've lived at Mill Valley Estates since 2017, and it has been a nice place to call home. Office and maintenance staff are quick to resolve any concerns. Work orders are tended to in a timely manner and property is very well maintained.

Set up a virtual showing in advance and leasing office failed to show up for it. No follow up emails were sent. Unsafe area am glad to look elsewhere .

You will not find a better apartment complex to live in than Mill Valley Estates. The management are on top of everything and always coming up with one more nice thing to do for the residents. Paying rent through the portal is awesome easy. They maintain a web site to connect with other residents. Three are so many things that I love about Mill Valley that I know that I will forget to mention something. First of all, it is a very pretty place to live. The landscape it meticulously, planting trees and flowers that are really nice. There are sidewalks that are handicap accessible, even to the blind! There are many walkways to walk on and we can have a garden plot here. There is woods around us that create privacy. Speaking of privacy, the management really respects personal privacy while at the same time providing security. I feel safe here. Management treats us politely. The maintenance people can fix anything and they show up quickly. There is a fitness room, electric car stations, a bike repair station, a basketball court, walking paths, book nooks with benches you can enjoy reading on or enjoy the flowers. We are on the bus line ten minutes from town via bus and close to the mall. There is an amazon delivery kiosk, a playground, and even a day care center! The inside of the apartments are really nice. You can have your own washer and dryer here or use the awesome laundry facilities near the office. Like I said, they think of everything you need here! I forgot to mention that there is a farmers market very close to the complex every Saturday in summer, you can rent an electric bike at the bus stop, and there are plenty of places to lock your bike up safely! We even have security guards at night who drive around and make sure that everyone is safe.

I love living at Mill Valley Estates. It is a very well-managed apartment complex. It is safe, immaculately landscaped, and kept very clean. There are security guards at night and security cameras in the parking lots that keep us very safe. The walkways are really awesome and are handicap-accessible. The trash is handled very well with frequent emptying of the dumpsters and the recycling collection containers. Even the parking lots are swept of dust during the year! There are many very nice trees and flower beds, a few nice fenced-off small ponds, and plenty of parking for everyone including visitors. There is an electric car charging station AND a bike service station! We are right on a bus route, and there are even electric bikes for rent at the local bus stop! The bus stops nearby frequently and the bus stop is very close by. We are not that far from the center of town, the colleges, the malls or the bike paths! There is very little trouble here and if there is it is dealt with quickly. We have a mix here of families and many students and it is a quiet and pleasant place to live. The maintenance and the office staff are always available and they are pleasant, professional, and go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. My apartment is up to date and everything works. I have plenty of hot water and I can have my own washer and dryer. I love that there are good wide sidewalks and walking trails. We have some deer and rabbits that visit. We can have a garden plot and grow our own gardens! There is a fitness center and there is a Holloween event as well. The apartment complex office staff has been awesome throughout the pandemic with keeping us informed of what is going on and they even offered a vaccination clinic right at the complex office! In a lot of ways, the staff here is like family. They care about us, give us a great place to live, and look out for us in a LOT of different ways. This is a perfect place for students, families, and handicapped people to all live amongst one another. It is a lot more like a small-town neighborhood than most other apartment complexes are! You get a lot for your money here. Heat and hot water are included in the rent and they provide good airconditioners, and the windows are nice and new. They even clean the outside of the buildings regularly! They think of everything! Really!

I love living at Mill Valley Estates. I feel safe here. It is a beautiful place to live. There is a good mix of families and students here. The management goes out of their way to make sure it is a good place to live for all residents. They have everything covered here! I never wait for maintenance to be done. The grounds are kept immaculately. There is plenty of room for the kids to play, the side walks and parking lots are awesome and we are on the bus line. We have security guards in the evening and they do a good job. It is an awesome place to live.

My families experiences here at Mill Valley Estates has been nice. I would recommend this rental to friends. A little more personal freedoms would be nice for the price you pay per unit. And there's the privacy issue of course with neighbors. What do you expect with 12 units per building. Would be the best if these were town houses. Storage space is also a problem. All though the apartment is good size there's not much storage. So if your like me things start to pile up over time.

I absolutely love living at Mill Valley Estates! It is a safe, quiet, clean, healthy, and beautiful place to live. I am incredibly happy with the lawns and gardens and the excellent upkeep of the grounds and the apartments. I never have to wait for repairs and the maintenance men are very pleasant and professional. I love the walkways that are all handicap accessible. I have modern appliances and a beautiful apartment. The office staff are very professional, friendly, helpful, and caring. The location of the apartments could not be better. We are close to the mall and the downtown of Amherst, but not too close! I love that there is a fitness center and that we can sign up for a garden plot. The garden plot is the highlight of my entire year! I highly recommend Mill Valley as a wonderful place to live.

I love living at Mill Valley Estates! It is a great place to live. First off, it is convenient to the free bus line and close enough but not too close to downtown Amherst and is close to the Malls. I have been living here for twenty years. Living here has become a much better experience over the years, with the management getting better and better all the time. The office staff is always friendly and helpful and they are extremely committed to making Mill Valley a safe and pleasant place to live! I am really happy with the maintenance and with how the apartments and grounds are kept neat and beautiful. Every year I look forward to seeing what flowers they will plant for us all to enjoy. I love that I can have a garden plot and enjoy growing some vegetables every year. There is a state of the art fitness center to use. There is a really nice playground for residents, and a basketball court to get exercise on too. There are nicely paved pathways to walk on all over the grounds that make getting exercise safer for even handicapped people. They make handicapped parking spaces if you need one. They are very good about keeping the parking lots and sidewalks clear of snow and ice in the winter which is very important to all of us. I live in a handicapped apartment and this apartment has given me a safer, less painful place to live that is full of light, modern, and comfortable. All the apartments on the first floor have at least small patios and sliding glass doors. The arrangement of the apartments on the second and third floor is four to a floor, which gives more privacy than other apartment complexes. The management here does little things to let us know that they are thinking about us too. Recently they gave us a p "pandemic survival goody bag" that had masks, hand sanitizer, some nice candy, and an adult coloring book in it. I thought that the gift sums up who they are. They are a thoughtful management team! Sometimes I think about moving because I miss living in the country and having a vegetable garden right outside of my door, which would be especially nice because I am handicapped, but, it would be absolutely impossible to find another place to rent that is managed as well and as thoughtfully as Mill Valley Estates is!

Mill Valley is an average apartment complex that meets basic needs and is a relatively cheap option! They have a gym too which is decent!

Mill Valley Estates is a great place to live. It is quiet and safe here. The grounds are beautiful. It is a very relaxing place to live, where a mix of students, families and elderly/handicapped people live together and it works. We have a playground for the kids, plenty of visitor parking, a place to barbecue and a community garden. We have woods around us that give us privacy from other apartment complexes and homes. There are great sidewalks here that are handicap accessible, and there are handicap accessible two and three bedroom apartments. They are also very flexible about putting in handicap parking spaces for people. There is a basketball court, and there are bicycle racks for all the bikes. The grounds are kept meticulously and they plant flowers in the flower beds that everyone looks forward to seeing every year. All these things are really nice, but the very best thing about living here is that the office staff is polite and pleasant as well as always being efficient. The office staff keeps us very informed of any information we need with emails and a piece of paper under at our doors. The maintenance staff are really nice people as well as being knowledgeable and experienced in fixing everything! If you live here a long time you begin to feel like the staff here is your family. They treat you THAT well. It is also very nice to KNOW that they do everything in their power to make this a safe and pleasant place to live.

I am a long time resident of Mill Valley Estates. I moved here in 2003 at a time when maintenance and management were pretty unreliable. I was considering a move when the current property manager, Sarah, came on staff. Soon after, I saw the departure of impolite office workers and the flighty maintenance staff. There was tremendous improvement with the new maintenance team arrivals of Josh and Mario. Sarah makes sure she hires and keeps the best possible employees like Kaylie and Kate in the office, who are dedicated to assisting the residents. The staff here goes out of their way to provide great service. I have had occasions which required special needs and both the office and maintenance staffs worked tirelessly to accommodate my situation. They are friendly, patient and kind. Maintenance is trustworthy, competent and completes tasks in a timely fashion. They keep the grounds comfortable, safe and extremely clean. We never worry about being snowed in or not having air conditioning in hot weather. The combined staff makes this a lovely place to live. In addition, children play safely, neighbors are considerate and this place is more than just another local dorm extension. Students of local colleges who move here become a part of the existing community and I have rarely, if ever, felt like I was living on a campus. You're as likely to see seniors working a garden patch as a kid getting off a school bus, or empty nesters coming home from work. Mill Valley is a comfortably diverse community in every way. I hope the owners are aware of the talented group of people they have working here who do so much to make this place a home. I believe that if the staff had more opportunities from the upper management they could turn Mill Valley into an unquestionably successful property! Look at other properties, consider. Then, do yourself a favor and make Mill Valley your home. I think you'll find it exceeds area rentals as a short or long term living option.

My family and I have lived at Mill Valley Estates for nearly 2 years. The appartment is spacious with plenty of closets, two full baths which is great with a family of Four. The property is very clean and well maintained. If a problem should arise in the apartment, it is taken care of in a timely manner. Friendly and helpful office and maintenance staff. I would reccomend Mill Valley Estates to anyone looking for a nice place to live in Amherst.

We've only been here about two weeks but we're already very impressed with mill valley estates! We really lucked out finding this place.

life at mill valley estates is a great pleasure. i have nothing negative to say about living here. neighbors are nice , office and maintenance staff are all very nice. everything i need is close by in hadley.the stores and food , everything i need is 5-10 minutes away. and i have my own washer and dryer, no hauling laundry in the car. i have nothing negative to say. life here is great.

Incessant annoying emails and notices from management makes it feel like dorm living. The apartments themselves are nice enough but management has ridiculous policies and poor communication with tenants. The 5 star review was probably planted by them - the service is friendly but they don’t do anything helpful.
