Nestled alongside the Raritan River in north-central New Jersey, Edison is a tranquil suburb with a rich history. The township was the site of Thomas Edison’s famous invention factory, where the incandescent light bulb was perfected and sound was first recorded. Aside from the township’s name, Edison honors the renowned inventor with landmarks like Thomas A. Edison Park and Edison State Park, which contains the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park.
In addition to its historic charm, Edison offers residents top-notch schools, vibrant shopping centers, and lush parks in a central locale. Although residents enjoy Edison’s quaint atmosphere, major cities like New York City and Philadelphia are both within an hour’s drive of the community, placing residents within close reach of countless metropolitan amenities. Commuting and traveling from Edison is simple with convenience to Interstates 95 and 287 as well as Newark Liberty International Airport.

Property Ratings at Millbrook Village
The rent keeps increasing and the service keeps decreasing. So many cars keep getting stolen and the leasing office or property manager wouldn't even speak with residents. Sunrise Drive, Horizon Drive have been vulnerable to car thefts and no safety or security for residents is being considered. Apartments at this point are also no longer safe.
There is termites all over my apartment and black ants coming our from kitchen. I complained to the maintenance department and its been one week no one showed up yet. Me and my family clean termites everyday and we are frustrated. The apartments are not clean and there are termites all over the place, this is extremely dangerous and not health friendly. We called 10 times but no one show up, they didnt even came to clean up. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The cleanliness and health is the main priority, they want to charge ridiculous rent and than provide unhealthy apartments and then not fix. Stay away from this place. They should be ashamed of themselves and give some rent off of all the hard work me and my family is doing. When it comes to rent they will send you letters and call you and now no one wants to help fix it. What would you do if there are termites in your home every day and no one comes to help and you keep paying high rents? Save yourself sometime and stay away
Overall, I love it here but some things need to be improved. The walls are very thin and things break easily. I've only been here 7 months and multiple things had to be repaired. The rent isn't cheap so everything should be made with quality products and done properly. Those are my only complaints.
I have lived here for almost 5 years and yes the apartment size is great and heat and hot water is included. But When you have certain neighbors that move in and make all kinds of noises as if the walls weren’t thin already. It’s bad that you can even hear someone use the bathroom!!! Or even snoring at night. Even other stuff at night but I will keep it PG. I can hear full conversations from the people across the hall when they are in their basement. Screams and all the jumping. You get noise from every side! And forget it if you have someone move in with a heavy foot! Sounds like a bunch of elephants marching around above you! Woke up my kids a bunch of times! For the amount of money you spend a month you would think the quality would be better. You pay for a pool even if you don’t use it. When you sign the lease they tell you to put carpet/rugs in every room. People definitely do not! You can hear every chairs and furniture being slid back and forth all day long. And if someone is wearing heels forget it. Sounds like a tap dance class going on. These new people that moved in above me are the worst since I have lived here. They have no respect at all. If you knew you have a heavy foot you should have requested a first floor unit! I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE OUT once my lease is up! Counting them days down!
I have lived here for about a year now and it’s average. The apartment is nice but the service is not, especially during the winter. Be prepared to be shoveling yourself. For example, they blocked my car in with snow so I asked someone outside to help me and he said, “well I have a snow shovel but i can’t help you”. So I called maintenance and they said, “no our maintenance guys won’t do that, call management.” Unbelievable. Also you have to pay pool fees even if you don’t use it. You can hear everything whether it’s the shutting of the neighbors doors or just them walking around their apartment or up the stairs. I moved here for convenience but would not move back.
I would like to appreciate recently improvement work done in the apartment units and buildings like staircase new trade rubber tiles, color, new white windows and our building # 9 has installed five new laundry machines. Laundry machines are brand new and giving us great comfort and no hassle of going outside for laundry. 411 Horizon
Millbrook Village in Edison is your ideal apartment. The buildings and grounds are well-maintained, the units are absolutely spacious and it has a nice size balcony. We have a one-bedroom unit that is plenty of space for both me and my husband. Our unit is renovated and we have a great size kitchen which comes with new appliances. Gas, water and heat are all included in the rent which is always a great deal that you won't be able to find elsewhere. The tenants enjoy the pool in the summer which is also very well-maintained. The location is the best being close to everything - malls, great restaurants, shops, etc. We just renewed our lease this year because we can't imagine renting somewhere else.
I live in the Millbrook apartments in Edison NJ. These apartments are great for people with kids, it has a small play ground and a pool. Its a really safe area, there haven't been any problems. They even have there own security that drives around. Packages left at the front of my door are never damaged. Maintenance is quick to fix something without extra charge. There is also laundry on the premises for every building. Every apartment has their own shaded balcony, big enough for table and chairs. The apartment comes with 2 air conditioners and a refrigerator. Depending on which apartment you can afford there are 1 bedrooms with a dinning room they allowed to be a bedroom, 2 bedrooms with a den, etch. Electric and heating is included and the hot water is connected to the electric. Its located close to highways 1&9 and 287 and 10 mins away from two malls, one with a movie theatre. Also close to Woodbridge train station min 20 minutes, Edison 10 mins, Metuchen 10 mins away. Near a Shoprite and Pathmark, lots of restaurants, a Laundromat, two Walgreens two 7 Elevens and right across Middlesex county college. No pets are allowed though, but this keeps the grounds clean. In the winter, the maintenance cleans the parking lots and walkways. And they also cut all the grass. If you are considering these apartments know your credit will be checked they don't except just anyone, and there is in advance payment. There are also no lights in the living rooms and bedrooms so you'll need lamps. A great apartment for people who want quiet and a safe environment.
