Property Ratings at Miller Estates Apartments
The first two months I lived at Miller Estates, I spent pleading with them to fix the washer/dryer that was flooding my apartment. I called every day and they did nothing. I eventually had to call the guy who owned the company who owned Miller Estates. That was the only way for them to do their job. Now, it is June in the dead of summer. My A/C unit has been broken all month and they refuse to fix it. It has been 90-100 degrees everyday and they won’t help me. I will never recommend anyone to live here. P.S. my A/C unit is still broken if you care to fix it.

Hello, our residents mean a lot to us. We are sorry to hear you've had a frustrating experience, but we would be happy to look into this for you. Please send me an email at gg@cornerstonerent.com and we'll be sure to get you taken care of!
Worst property management I've ever had to deal with. Leasing staff is always rude and unhelpful and maintenance has never once addressed any of our requests. Used needles have been found in the parking lots and grass where the kids play. There's so much trash that there's now a rat infestation and tires are stolen directly off of vehicles. As of now, the property management company that runs the complex has an F with the BBB.

They don't fix or take care of anything so you pay a lot of money for nothing to be done. If you have mold in apartment they won't get rid of it. Wouldn't recommend
Extremely overpriced for what you get. Lots of hidden fees. Not updated and lots of damage. Equipment in the gym is very outdated and broken-useless. Garbage is constantly overfilled. When “handyman” came to fix issues with the apartment in the beginning it was done very half assed and never fully resolved the issues (several). The front door was extremely hard to open and close as well as sliding glass doors making their always be a draft which in the winter time made it nearly impossible to keep the place warm thus having to pay very handsomely in utilities. Office staff is very short and rude and never explain anything when you have questions and blame everything on the renter and make you feel stupid and belittled. Have been late to work several times as roads were not cleared due to branches falling over very often and not taken care of in a timely manner. Lots of police activity making you feel not so safe. I have rented my whole life and this place has been the worst by far. I would definitely recommend paying a bit more for a much nicer and clean and safe living situation. They seem like they are affordable but you definitely get what you pay for with this place. Please save yourself the trouble and pay the extra $100 a month for a much nicer and friendly place.
I recently moved to Miller Estates and within 2 weeks of my stay - my car's exhaust system got stolen while it was parked in the assigned parking spot. After this happened, I found out that there had been several theft incidents reported almost every week but still nothing has been done by the management. There is no gate or security cameras to monitor or restrict entry of outsiders. When I spoke to management, they said to report it to the police as they could do nothing about it and they can't do anything to prevent this in the future. The apartment complex is really nice but because of security reasons I would not recommend anyone to live here
Honestly this place isn't the worst place i have lived, but when they show you the model apartment do not think that is what you are getting. When we got our keys to our unit we were really excited but were let down very soon. There were food stains/splatters all over the walls and appliances in the kitchen and one on the ceiling in the living room, and the paint job was absolutely horrible. There are places where they just flat our neglected to paint and there were long pieces of human hair stuck inside of the paint as well in several places. The carpet in the master bedroom smelled really bad of pee and when we used our carpet cleaner on it, there were big clumps of hair that came up. I will add we went over this area with a vacuum several times. We have lived here for a year and i have cleaned it several times and it still smells like pee. Also the treadmill in the "amazing" fitness center has not worked since january and they haven't fixed it. The bathrooms next to the fitness center are never stocked with toilet paper either which is super annoying as well. Not to mention that when we went in to pay our rent the first few months, they over charged us for 3 seperate months. It took me digging out my lease and looking through it to prove it and then they didn't even apologize. They acted like it was our fault. This place is definitely not worth the amount they charge. I would look somewhere else if i were you.
Do not move here! Read the reviews! You’ll notice a common theme I experienced as well misinformation and erroneous charges. I overlooked reading reviews because it seemed quiet and a nice place to live. However the amount of misinformation and erroneous charges couldn’t make me recommend this place to anyone. They don’t take ownership for their employees giving out incorrect information. Office staff in particular Kevin are curt and rude. When mistakes are found in billing they do everything but fix it until you stand there showing them how their error occurred. They don’t disclose the mandatory cleaning fees when you sign the lease even when you ask. They also don’t disclose the break lease fee which is the same no matter what apartment size you rent and as Kevin put it “They can charge whatever they want”. I have always paid online and in full and cleaned my apartment spotless when moving out much cleaner than when I moved in and they still erroneously charged for cleaning fees of over $100. This place is not managed well and violates many leasing practices. Also they don’t maintain the grounds and let dog poop stay everywhere. They also don’t empty out the dog poop garbage cans regularly so they smell and create more bugs. There were constantly bugs everywhere and even though they’ll spray for free the bugs still showed up all the time. They lie and overcharge they are super dishonest and rude. Don’t move here!!!

Emily, we are distraught after reading your review. We work very hard to make sure all residents have the experience they deserve. With that said, we are so sorry that your experience was not as you expected and we are thankful for your feedback. We will work even harder to better our community. If there is anything we can do for you in the meantime, please give our office a call. We would love to improve your stay as swiftly as possible.
I have lived from apartment to apartment for 5 years in a row now! This is the first place that I actually renewed my contract with them. The office staff is wonderful and will listen to you if you need help with anything. Jared is the best manager I have ever worked with. The grounds are beautiful and my dog has made many friends. What a great place to live! I have the greatest neighbors. I have only had to have maintenance come out to my apartment once, they were friendly and the issue was taken care of quickly. I have never lived in a complex that has had a pool party and movie night for the renters. What a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends. I would recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for a place to live. They even let me use the clubhouse for a birthday party and didn't even make me pay to use it!
The management does not enforce the smoking rules outlined in the lease. I have a 2 year old and 2 month old and am allergic to cigarette smoke. We have made multiple.complaints about tenants smoking too close to the building and nothing has been done. I don't care if someone wants to slowly kill themselves by smoking but do not subject my kids and me to it. Supposedly after 3 complaints they are supposed to be evicted. The first time I called the manager had said they had already had complaints about them. I have called more than 3 times myself and they still live here. There have been times I was unable to unload groceries or take my kids in or out because of them smoking. Even one of the maintenence guys smokes on the property and has come into our apartment to fix something reeking of smoke. When I went to the office and paid rent in May I informed them the sump pump in our patio was not working and needed to be fixed. Maintenance came after I had called again 2 weeks later since it was flooding again. They didn't fix anything. Next thing I know I get an email saying it was "fixed" that I just had to turn it on manually while standing in 4inches of water. So I opened another maintenence ticket and told them they needed to actually fix it. The night we got back from the hospital from having our baby there was water up to the sliding door. This was in mid June. I called after hours maintenance and told them they better come fix it and they did a quick fix for the night then came back a few days later and "fixed" it. Which my husband ended up having to fix their poor workmanship. DO NOT MOVE HERE! It definitely is not worth the high rent they charge.
Property Manager at Miller Estates Apartments, Responded To This Review
Unfortunately we do have some residents that break the smoking rules. However we do not advertise that the property is non-smoking. We just have restrictions on where the residents are allowed to smoke. I am sorry that you had some bad experiences with the maintenance staff. After hearing the complaint we have set down rules regarding this and I don't think these complaints will continue to happen in the future.
Do not recommend to anybody!!! Lived there for only 6 months, unit was infested with bugs and at one time had a mouse running around on our countertops. Moved out at the end of the lease and was charged with a $300 bill for cleaning that was already done and other misc. charges. Management not willing to work with you when problems needing correction. NO STARS!!!
Animals welcome, $35 a pet per month. Washer and dryer in unit is helpful. Large vestibule outside the apartment door. Master bedroom large enough to fit one queen and two twin beds comfortably. Under new management often rude and non-helpful. Over-priced with hidden charges. Little storage space available.
Constant maintenance annoyance. Maintenance people are rude and even threatening. Unscheduled apartment inspections at 9pm. Once beautiful grounds now look like a dump because of construction. Management won't disclose owner's name for complaints. Frequent crime and car break-ins around the complex. Inaccurate utility bills. Overpriced for what you get. After unexpected fees, rent is $1,017 for a two bedroom.

I spent a year here and didn't mind it one bit. You don't get what you pay for that's for sure, but it's a roof over your head. It's pet friendly, and they pretty much take any pet. Management is pretty chill as well. Overall a solid time.
Questar Gas can be paid along with rent, parking, sewer& garbage etc.. The building has a bill and it is divided between rented apts in your building. I have seen $90-$120 . If they cant tell u how much you will be paying in addition to Rent etc...why sign lease?? If Office tells u something that is not written down in Contract I would get it in writing before contract signed. (just like amywhere else.) About 300 older buildings. New property management. Grounds look nicer. Constant barking dogs allowed because barking on their patio:(
We pay $877/mo. plus all utilities, which range from $85-90 for gas, water, sewer, garbage and $30-40 for electric in winter but $50-80 in summer. There's only 2 people in our apartment. Its not worth it. It is a pretty nice area and apartment but the kitchen and bathroom are teeny and there's no storage for the bathroom area. I like that we can have a W/D in unit, that's a big thing for us. As far as amenities, the pool is good and there's a fitness center but its always super hot in there. I don't think there's A/C at all. So, we don't use it. There's an "office" with computers but they are super slow and half don't work and they don't care to fix it. There's a pool table too. You get one covered spot, and people sometimes park in them that don't live here and they tow a day after. If you aren't a 100% sure you can afford it, don't do it. The late fee for late rent is $150 and your rent goes up to "market rent" which is I think $950 for our apt. Its ridiculous. We've never been late thank goodness. You get an eviction notice on the 4th if rent isn't paid. They just won't work with anyone at all. One person in the office can be snooty, gladly I don't have to talk to them often. Its usually pretty quiet. My main complaint is just how expensive it is for a 1 bed. You can also have pets that are restricted in other complexes, breed restrictions are crazy around here. They allow them though, which is why me moved here to begin with.
Miller estate's has been my home now for almost 12 years! The 1st time I saw my apartment I knew I had to live here! I have a 2 bedroom apartment 1.5 bath with spectacular views of Mount Olympus and the small lake with 3 fountains which my balcony overhangs. Full of fish and ducks and few geese! The sounds of the 3 fountains hide the fact we are settled right in the center of Murray, located close to everything! We also have such beautiful grounds here with well maintained landscaping and a resort like feel to the grounds! I really enjoy living here and plan to stay for long time!
