Named for the historic tower and park at its center, Comanche Lookout Park sits 18 miles northeast of Downtown San Antonio, just inside the 1604 Loop. The houses that surround the park are full of eclectic charm. Manicured lawns, wide streets, and expansive lots make Comanche Lookout Park and idyllic suburban spot, particularly for families.
Residents of Comanche Lookout Park have access to some of the best schools in the area, and with relatively affordable housing compared to areas closer to San Antonio, this is becoming a popular neighborhood. Just northwest of the neighborhood lies the Forum at Olympia Parkway, housing plenty of shopping and a variety of restaurants just minutes from your apartment or house. San Antonio’s ring roads and the I-35 make it easy to commute into the city, or explore the rest of the great state of Texas.

Property Ratings at The Atlantic Mira Loma
The worse part about the time living here was by far the speed bumps. Any dirrection i went, on the less than a quarter mile way to my apartment from the front entrance, there was a minimum of 6 speed bumps. and terrible made ones. not to mention the pot hole in adition another problem was the gate. the thing was constantly broken leading to repetative traffic jams. The staff is polite but hard to work with. We had to make an edit to the lease and it took them almost 6 months to make this change. They would constantly forget what they had been asked to do and tell us the task was waiting on us to do something, when it was in fact them. The move out was also a difficult process as when i had questions instead of reading and responding they sent me a chat GPT response and were too lazy to write a 3 sentence email themselves.

This place is a joke, from management to maintenance to living. Negligence is massive throughout and they make excuses for everything. They charge you for everything eventhough on walk through they tell you it's fine. The apartment wasnt clean on move in, wasnt even painted or holes filled in after they charged the previous resident carpets and floors where messed up then they charge me $500 when i move out. I cut my lease short 6 months but if I didn't have to give notice I'd have been out months ago. The worst place I've lived. My Neighbour was a living hell and this place gave me so much anxiety.

My husband and I moved in two years ago as newlyweds. It was our first apartment together and we've loved our first experience. We had the Serafina unit. The complex is so close to the Forum (lots of restaurants & shopping) and great highway access to get anywhere in San Antonio. Definitely consider renting here! And talk to Amber in the front office!

Hello, and thank you for this awesome review! We appreciate you taking the time to highlight our community's wonderful things. We are happy that y'all are still residents here and still love to call Mira Loma Home! Thank you. Your Mira Loma Team!
My boyfriend and I live here and at first it was great but since the new management it has sucked. Our upstairs neighbors blast their music and are loud 24/7. We have tried asking her to turn her music down and discuss the loudness but every time she says “I don’t give a f***” we have called the courtesy officer and she has told them the same thing. We even have a police report stating so. We have emailed the front office and they never respond. When we go to the office to discuss it they always say the manager is too busy to talk about it and resolve the issue. Very inconsiderate for someone who works from home and has to deal with it on a daily basis. Our other neighbors dog is left outside and barks at anything and everything and their patio is covered with dog poop. This dog wakes us up every morning with his barking. We have also filed a complaint against this neighbor too and they have done NOTHING about it. There is always trash piled up next to the dumpster and it smells so bad. All of the trash cans on site are always filled, never taken out. There is dog poop all over the premises that is never picked up and it’s DISGUSTING. When we moved in most of our doors had holes in them and they just painted right over it. Our back gate is high and our dog can escape and it has not been looked into. The appliances are outdated and need to be replaced. The walls are so thin you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. I do not recommend moving here. The worst apartments I have ever lived in for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so sorry to hear your experience hasn't been better. Our maintenance team was short-staffed for nearly the entire month of November which caused some items to be delayed but not forgotten. No need to suffer through the reported noise concerns, however, verification of excessive noise from a team member or Live Oak Police Officer is preferred before issuing any lease violations. We would be happy to make a courtesy call to the resident who is questioned about making excessive noise. Feel free to reach out to me directly so we can work towards the resolution of your concerns. My email is miralomamgr@apcompanies.com. Thank you, Melissa
Opposite of luxury living, neighbors are rude and loud and management will not do anything about it. They will not respond to your emails or phone calls you have to go see them in the office and they will lie straight to your face and do nothing. Garbage is piled up high by the dumpster every week like it’s a dump and it smells bad. Gates are always broken and anybody can just walk in. There have been shootings here and is an unsafe uncomfortable place. Dogs will bark constantly everyday bc people just leave them out and management is incapable of handling their community. Would not recommend living here unless you are a loud Inconsider person who doesn’t care then it’s perfect. Would give zero stars if possible.

Overpriced for what it is. Just a budget apartment with makeup made out to be "luxury living. Walls are so thin you can hear what your neighbor is watching on TV. There's years of grime just painted over. People drive recklessly through the lot, once my car was hit while parked, yet there's no cameras to assist in any investigation. Mandatory garbage fee for a service that only shows up 75% of the time. Their automated payment system failed to take money out of my account two months in a row, and they acknowledged the issue was on their end, yet there was still an eviction notice sitting on my door when I got home from work. Oh and when its time to move out, they will charge you $50 to take 5-10 minutes out of their day to do a rental verification for the place you're moving to. I've lived in nearly a dozen apartments in my lifetime, and never once have had to pay for rental verification. Way too many issues with this place to justify the rent prices, and then the nickel and diming on top of that adds up very quickly. Look elsewhere.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear your experience was not better and would be happy to talk with you about your concerns. Some noise is to be expected, however, you can reach out to our office if you feel the noise is excessive and we'll work to address it. We also have a courtesy officer that you can reach out to after hours. We are working to hopefully add more speedbumps throughout the community. We do have cameras and can make them readily available to our local authorities if needed. We request residents reach out the day following a missed trash pick up so we can address it immediatly either by having the valet waste company return and remove the missed pick up or we'll remove it if they aren't able to. Again, I would be happy to talk with you more about your concerns so please feel free to reach out to me at miralomamgr@apmanagement.net. Thank you, Melissa
The home I was moving into fell through and I needed to find an apartment quickly for my family. I came in to see Mira Loma on a Friday morning- Becca was so friendly and accommodating! I explained my situation- she said it normally takes 3 days to lease an apartment- but she promised to do her best! Becca answered all of my questions, expedited the process, and I had keys to my beautiful new apartment in less than 24 hours! I also worked with the manager Melissa-she was willing to do anything to help as well- just great attitudes all around. The thing is- the apartment I leased is 10 times better than the home I had planned to move into for about $200 less per month! Win win!

Thank you for your excellent review. Customer service is our top priority so it pleases us to see that is being recognized! The community is certainly in a convenient location and we are happy to hear that is something that is valued.
The positives: Amador and Pam. That’s about it. The negatives: Completely disorganized front office, would send renters insurance only to get badgered and threatened because they forgot to file it. Impersonal staff outside of the two above, when I left I informed the front office that I would have a POD out front for 2 days, which they agreed to. 15 minutes in to the POD being put down, I got a call to my phone that one of the two women who hide in their offices all day had a problem with it being there, which they did not call about personally, instead passing it off to another employee. Refused to accept my deployment paperwork in time for me to not have to pay an additional month of rent, was paying for the apartment for an additional month that I shouldn't have paid. The valet trash magically stopped coming to our apartment when we informed them that we were leaving. Maintenance also would “lose” our work orders. During my entire time there, the community garbage containers would routinely overfill and would require me to walk across the complex to the only large container on the complex, since the valet trash would either miss the trash or be extreme sticklers about archaic rules like the garbage being in the container, even though the breezeway would often knock over the trash bins. Overall, the complex is nice when you tour it, but the front office is the major issue. This is a perfect example of not judging a book by it’s cover. They seem to take things personally that are merely business and basically refuse to amiable to you if they can pinch a penny off of you. I highly recommend looking within a 2-3 mile area of this place, because there are 3-4 apartment complexes close by...all of which I would choose over this one.

Thank you for your review and we apologize you had a negative experience. We try to go above and beyond as much as we can while following the lease contract and treating everyone fairly. It appears you may not have lived here recently as there have been both staff and management changes in July of 2020.
My wife lived at Mira Loma for about a year before we got married and I moved in with her, from Alabama. The actual apartments themselves are decent, but the policies upon leaving the place are a joke and disgraceful. Firstly, they require a two months notice for leaving, which is tough to do if you're not sure you're leaving. If you do put in that notice, they put your apartment up for lease before you're even gone and if you end up changing your mind BEFORE THE LEASE RUNS OUT you still have to move out because your apartment had gone up for lease and was leased to somebody else...just in case you did leave. Well, since we weren't sure if we were leaving or not, because we were still waiting on BAH to clear after I went active at Randolph AFB, we failed to notify them exactly 60 days in advance, which means that even though our contract ended in December, we had to pay an additional month's rent, past our end contract date. By that time, though we had already moved into our town home so we ended up paying double rent for January. When it was finally time for our last rent payment, I personally drove there to make sure our account was zeroed out, which after writing the final check, it was. Kayleigh told me we were square, so I left feeling good that we were FINALLY free of that place....not so. FOUR MONTHS LATER we get a notice in the mail that says it's the final attempt to notify that we owe $60 to finalize our account with Mira Loma. We had 7 days to pay or we would be sent to collections. They don't include a breakdown of the cost...just a total. I called to find out what the heck that was all about and the guy who answers says he doesn't know but would get back to me. Five days later, still no call back so I called them again. No answer. And again a day later...no answer. I finally emailed the assistant manager and she called me back with a break down saying the $60 was a final water bill. Well, that whole month of January we weren't even living there so there was no water being used and yet somehow it's $60??? When I told Kayleigh about that she uses the excuse that it must have been a running toilet. Seriously??? Bad plumbing? I ended up having to pay the $60 but I'm highly recommending you look elsewhere for housing. With the exception of the guy, most of the management staff are very unhelpful after you've signed the lease.
I am reading some reviews and it's crazy how people get so nasty when they don't get what they want. ANYWAYS... This place is great and so are my neighbors. People are very friendly here and we have made some good friends. I cancelled my gym membership because the gym here is awesome and it comes with a basketball court. We love the pool, the dog park and the staff has been great! They even have food trucks come by on Tuesdays... We love food and we love this place!
We chose Mira Loma as our new home from Hawaii. It's similar to the community we used to live in in Hawaii. It's not too far away from the city but it's far enough away where it's quiet. We were very pleased when we moved in. Our unit is more than enough space for the two of us and the price is rather reasonable. We managed to get everything we were looking for. 1st floor with carpet (as majority of the units have wood on the 1st floor), 750 sq/ft, washer/dryer installed, and dishwasher. The amenities are great and the property is well kept. Nice large pool with a fire pit and gas bbq available. There are also smaller charcoal grills located throughout the property for residents. Overall, Mira Loma is a great place to call home.
It was a tough choice between 3 or 4 stars. Complex is quite, but people don't pick up after their dogs. Also, apartment was not clean when we moved in. Office staff seemed like they don't talk to each other
there are many floor plans to choose from and the premises are kept very clean. The location is great. management does put on many activities for the residents, ie..pool parties, BBQ's.
I was very excited when I first moved into my apartments. Every aspect of the complex was nice, clean and staff and management were extremely kind. Very shortly after getting settled in, the tables were turned. The property was not consistantly maintained, the grounds were dirty and there was a lot of noise-making it extremely difficult to sleep at night. In addition to all of the on going issues, my rent increased by $500 dollars within a year and a half of the signing of my lease. As I attempted to resolve the issues by talking to management, it was a mute cause so I just stop trying and I'm waiting on my lease to end so that I can move on.
I like the community, the neighbors are quiet and staff is nice and attentive.
By Far i love my apartment i live in now and as of the past four years. My one and only complaint is it is way over priced!.
Well there is not a lot to be said about an apartment complex that treats their residents like they are crooks. I have lived here for several months and have kept my peace on how awful the parking is, and how hard it is to walk to my car without stepping in dog feces that no one bothers to clean up. I also don't mind when I request that maintenance call and schedule a time to come in a fix my problem, not come and go as they please without so much as an email? Well I draw the line when the management becomes inconsistent and treats their residents like they are thieves. I just posted this information on here so you can know, as a possible leasing party, that if you do not want to have a management constantly testing your patience, to look elsewhere in the Live Oak area.
I have lived in these apartments for a year and I am glad that my lease is up in a week. The apartments appliances could use an update but that isn't the worst thing with these apartments. The staff is absolutely terrible. When going up to the office, they act as if they are better than you and don't want to serve you. One representative will tell you something and then another will tell you something different. I wouldn't recommend this apartment to anyone because there are definitely way better apartments located in this area that have better staff and in a better location.
I'd rather not comment any further except I'm just waiting out my lease. I have met some very nice people here and apparently at one time this was a great place to live.
As a member of the US military, I have had a good amount of experience living in various types of communities. I am very pleased to say that Mira Loma has been one of the best and is one of my personal favorites! Mira Loma's staff was incredibly friendly and professional from the very first day I arrived in San Antonio. Amador, Kara, Randice and Stephanie^2 were all exceptionally helpful in every aspect of my stay. From expediting my move into the new apartment to holding my delivered packages until I arrived home from work, I never had an experience in which they serviced without a smile. Thank you staff at Mira Loma, for making San Antonio a great place to live. -Louis Vuitton- P.S. Tell them you read this review and Louis Vuitton sent you.
