Property Ratings at Mission at Main
Property had roaches that were reported multiple times with no response. Microwave handle fell off, reported was never fixed. Reported a leak in the living room ceiling no one fixed it. Roof finally fell through above television ruining tv and everything below it. Reported it in January and it still was not fixed when moved out. Spent the last few months having to keep a bucket under it. However they charged for fixing it when we moved out as well as treating for roaches and the microwave handle. Overall crappy management and complex.
FYI, some of the issues living here are: 1. Noise - Neighbors tend to be respectful, but the soundproofing is sub-par. One of the main issues seems to be related to the huge gaps below the hallway doors. You can pretty much hear anything happening in the hall. The doors for the stairs also slam very loudly. I'm on the 3rd floor and I still hear dogs barking on the 2nd. Also 3rd and 4th floor have wood flooring and a lot of sound travels through the ceiling. If you have anyone above you that wears hard heeled shoes you will definitely hear it. Tons of noise in the hall from walking. Lastly, if you face the Main Street side, you will hear lots of sirens. The Fire Station is just a block a way and you can expect several several times a night. 2. Parking - There is not enough. The management has tried to address this by putting up one sign that says parking is for residents only. You will occasionally find that one parking spot free, but pretty much all the other resident parking is always taken. From what I can tell it's mostly by the people who work at the businesses on the first floor or are eating at the restaurants Conga and Alex's. Most of the time I have to find parking at the dilapidated parking lot next door. 3. Safety - There is no lighting in the parking area at night. It is super sketchy and you best run from your car to the door. The neighborhood is still very much "up and coming." There is lighting by the door entrance and it does have a code to get to the elevator. 4. Cleanliness - This place is new, so some dust and building materials are expected. For the first couple of months I thought it was just because it was under construction, but nothing has been done about cleaning the outside areas. The stairwells are disgusting and lots of trash, dog hair, etc. Speaking of trash, the dumpsters are too small for the number or residents and the amount of times they are picked up, so you can expect by the weekend that trash will be overflowing so much that it looks like a landfill. Some residents smoke on their balconies so you can smell smoke in the hallways. Employees for the businesses also like to smoke right outside the stairs. Hope that helps anyone considering this place. I don't mean to be all negative, but there are just lots of issues that you might not realize until you move in.
