The living experience at mission gate apartments is not so good where one would really get frustrated with the maintenance experience while the management team is so focused on imposing the penalties on residents for any breach of community rules.

Honest review: The apartment is beautiful and spacious, appliances are clean and new, and the neighborhood is excellent. In addition, the pricing is very fair all things considered. On the flip side, not getting a garage when PROMISED, having a shower clog up from the previous renter, and the smoke alarm hanging by its wires diminish my confidence in the staff to provide a smooth move-in process. I trust they will fix these issues for me.

I had to wait 3 hours to get my keys to move in because they didn't have anyone working. They don't respond to maintenance requests timely. No one ever answers the office phone or reaches back out if you leave a voicemail. Bug problem in apartments and they don't clean before you move in. I also had water damage and they didn't fix it. They just painted over it.

Our experience at Mission Gate has been a nightmare from start to finish. We moved into a dirty unit with no AC in the heat of the summer. We got the pleasure of living in two units on property due to flooding in our unit from pipes bursting from a fire sprinkler and both places were quite literally falling apart. Rails on stairways pulling from the wall, faucets leaking, dishwasher not working, carpets pulling up, cabinets falling apart, blinds falling cracking etc. We have had a HUGE issue with bugs, rats and mice etc in our unit. Not a clean place and not well taken care of even after notifying the property. Work orders are rarely resolved and if they are it's after much time has passed and frequent reminders. Lastly, we moved into a gated community for safety and have not had a closed gate or clicker for access to that gate for the duration of our stay at Mission Gate

Beware ! renovated apartment only means appliances are new. Toilet, bath tub, shower area etc. are all old and will have stains/cracks which will NOT be changed as it is still functional :-)

I would not even give 1 rating if there is option to give 0 or negative rating. They made me make online payment of $380 for processing application and denied for no reason. I had call with credit agency and they confirmed that there is nothing wrong on my renter to general credit record. Alos my credit score was above average with good credit. When I called property manager and asked for reason for denial then she was not in position to provide any reason. I already stayed in US for 6 years with good credit and renter history, but application was rejected for no reason. DO NOT EVEN APPLICATION here. I requested manager's contact details for further escalation but property manager did not provide contact details

We walked in and were asked to take a seat while the man working finished helping two men. All was well until he approached the waiting area and asked us to head into the gameroom because he had to lock up while he took these men somewhere on the property. At this point, I registered the overall request was odd, but I decided to be locked into the gameroom space with two other men because I NEEDED to see how this experience panned out- I wasn't disappointed. He came back about 5 mins later and asked how he could help and he apologized for locking us in the room because he was the only one working. I said, "thats so odd, usually Saturday is a busy day. Sorry your by yourself." to which he said, "I mean, I can't control someone calling out and me being alone. Like I can't control someone getting in a car accident and not coming in" in an annoyed way, but I am hoping the car accident was a hypothetical. If you work here and called in due to a car accident on Feb. 4, I hope you're okay. He guided us to his desk where dance music was playing from his computer and his mouse was a red racecar. He turned down the music as he pulled some information, but didn't turn it off. What a power move. He admitted to being very good at his previous job. So much so that this new company which purchased the property 70ish days ago employed him to fill their empty units. After being locked in a game room, serenaded with dance music, and agressively clicked at with a racecar mouse- things could only get more exciting. We entered a unit with all white appliances and builders grade counters. I looked at the space to be polite, but said in my best Randy from American Idol voice, "its a no from me, dog." When he asked what I was looking for, I admitted, "something more updated". He said there was another unit close by that had been "half updated", and I agreed to take a look. The second unit had the same builders grade counters, but it had a black splash, black appliances, and cheap wood-like floors (which were terribly scuffed for having been recently turned over). I, again, politely looked around before asking about the pungent cigarette smell, to which he said, "yea we can't really control what people do once they get their key" I then said, "the photos online have granite, where are those units?" He said, "yea the photos online don't match. The new owners just bought this place and they don't update anything. They just see if the appliance is functional and keep it if it works"

Unit is really cozy and updated. Pleased with the layout. I like the private courtyard in the back of our building especially at night. Can be really romantic.

The Community is very Old and the house hold appliances are very old and If your raise repair request they wont fix it on time and they wont change it if they are not able fix it as well. For the existing customers also recently they increased the rent to to 40% usually it will be 5% but this time it was 40% its too huge amount. If you move out of the community they are charging a huge amount. For Shower Room cleaning and repair alone they would charge around $390 totally if any one is moving our you might be paying a 1 Month rent as a penalty for them. They will charge your very worst.

As retaliation for a city complaint the apartment did not renew my lease. I'm constantly on time for payments and never had a noise complaint. I complained to the city when my AC was out for 3 weeks during summer because of an active leak. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.

Reading alot of the comments on here can make someone who is looking for a place to call home tough. However with my expertise living at this community has been great! The staff are very understanding and encouraging. We are adults and alot of the complaint are things we can handle wither on our own or sometimes having patience can go a long ways. The office staff are human just like we are; if I have a concern I understand their time and have seen their due diligence to go over and beyond to eventually help me with any concern I may bring to them. The community is family friendly...kids playing and parents walking getting their steps in for the day!

I left a 4 star review of this place after living here a year. Overall it's not bad, but not good enough for what I'm now paying. They go up at least $50-70 A YEAR on rent and refuse to update any of the interiors. I still have carpet, old yellowed walls, and permanently stained white appliances. I'm now paying over $100 more for the same unit I've had for 3 years. I'm sure if you get an updated apartment it's fair, but don't be fooled, they'll up your rent a ridiculous amount after a year or two.

The maintenance team is non-existent. I have maintenance tickets from March 2021 still pending in June 2021. Whenever you call them or visit the leasing office for an update they will say we will call you back with an update but they don't ever do that. Getting a date on tinder is easier than a date from the maintenance to fix something. If you are lucky and get a call from management, they'll have one of these excuses ready. 1 Oh, We are running short on staff, 2. Units affected by winter storm have to be repaired first(The storm was in Feb 2021), 3. Only one guy working today. God bless people living here. 1 star for location.

WORST PLACE TO LIVE... This place is being run by unprofessional bunch of people. While the power and water is back in nearby communities, this apartment community is struggling to provide basic utilities to its residents. It’s been more than a week since the water supply has been shut. When we asked about the water supply restoration, they said they have no freaking idea. What kind of joke is it?? Shouldn’t they have more manpower to fix water and electricity issues.. How are we supposed to live here without a single drop of water??? All the apartment communities worked day and night to get things back on track. But MISSION GATE takes no responsibility towards its residents and closed its office on Sunday while people are suffering.. Such a shame..

Wish I could rate it lower than 1. Horrible apartment with pathetic management team. Nothing works fine here. You keep calling the manager and leasing office, no one cares to respond to your complaints. Extremely poor and rude staff. Overall, you can blindly go to any other apartment but this one! Please save yourself!

I do not normally give universally bad reviews. I try to find some positive in any situation. So, to that point, the location and small size of this complex is great. It’s tucked away in a perfect little corner with quick access to 121, The Shops at Legacy and all that Preston Rd has to offer. The dog park here also has great agility equipment and the grounds are... decent, if not well maintained. And for all that I said above, we have endured five years here. The parking is BAD. Your best bet is to rent a covered spot or you will never get close to your building. The kids are loud. I’m all for kids being kids, so it doesn’t bother me much, but it is still worth noting, especially when balls and toys are flying past your cars. The complex is very old so something In or out of the apartments, is ALWAYS breaking(Usually the gate, which is almost never closed) The maintenance team Is constantly changing and thus it’s hit or miss whether you get someone competent or not. They may take forever or be very prompt. You just never know. We have had so many serious leaks in our apartment, mostly from something in the upstairs apartment breaking. The worst was last Oct when the upstairs toilet overflowed for an hour and ran through our walls, ceilings, light fixtures before the “emergency” maintenance man could get to us. The best part, the water damage is STILL VISIBLE all through our apartment. Yup, we’ve had TOILET WATER stains for over a year now. We’ve emailed pictures to the office, and asked several times if they intend to fix it. They act surprised every time, and say they will send a contractor to look at it. Sometimes, one even shows up, but, it that’s it. Then, when they replaced all the office staff last August, things really got bad. Since then, we have been lied to, forgotten and ignored on multiple occasions to the point that we were put into a difficult, costly situation because we trusted them. We were told someone would contact us over lease negotiations, we even checked in with them multiple times. We heard nothing until it was far too late for us to do anything. I wish I could say that only happened once, but, unfortunately, we have tried to trust the office staff’s word on things a few times now and it has ended badly for us every single time. At best, they are inept, at worst, they lie. Well, we’re done. We are getting out of this hell hole as soon as possible. Save yourself and just DON’T!

On 20th midnight there was water leak into my master bedroom and someone came in the morning and informed us about the leak and my problems started from that time. it's been 5 days and no one from the leasing office visited my home for service and I cant use the bedroom. very bad response and support services are pathetic. not sure why are they managing an apartment like this. a single star for their service.

Love my home and the ladies in the office are so sweet. Maintenance has fixed everything I asked for and now they wave when they see us! Feels like a neighborhood!!

There’s so many issues with this property to start their maintenance is a joke it’s been over a year and requests over and over to replace our garage door or atleast fix it because it won’t open and close properly. The valet trash service here which is a mandatory $25/month is almost non existent they never pick up the trash and then in the morning you get a notice that your in violation of your lease because of the trash. The on site staff lies about the issues to upper/regional management so nothing ever gets resolved. Parking here is terrible the majority of parking is reserved spots and even if you pay for a spot other people will park in it and the staff won’t do anything about it. And if you try to file a complaint about valet trash or parking the staff start to get extremely rude and overreacts to every negative comment about their property to the point they will take all reasonable complaints as a personal attack on the staff and will become non responsive. I’m a realtor and I’ve been in the business for years and this is the only management company I’ve ever seen treat the public and their tenants with such disrespect. Don’t bother looking at this community. Until the change management companies and new staffing this place will continue to be a run down joke... not to mention their prices are way too high for what you get this place is roughly 20 years old now and it shows it....
