I remember I was so nervous to find a good place to live in Albuquerque and I stumbled upon mission Hills. From the start, the staff was so helpful and attentive to my needs and made me feel really welcome on my move in day. The entire move-in process was extremely stress-free, and I cannot thank the staff enough. Apartment exceeds my expectations, and I think the pictures did not do it justice. If you're looking for an affordable and safe place to live in ABQ, give this place a chance!

They say that these apartments are wheelchair friendly don’t boot don’t believe it. The only way you can get inside a bedroom with a wheelchair is if you take the doors off. Even then some of the rooms you can’t get in depending on the angle of the room. They say they have a food pantry in the rooms. Only if it’s a two bedroom apartment. A single room apartments do not have food pantries. They also say that there are ceiling fans in the apartments there is only one ceiling fan and that’s in the dining room. Before you move in here talk to some of the tenants away from management, living here can be a nightmare.

I lived here for 3 years. In that time my car had been stolen, windows broke out of it and tires stolen. My downstairs neighbor was shot, my neighbor across from me was the victim of a home invasion, drug deals are common and the FBI was always raiding someone's apartment. This place is not safe. The management doesn't care to fix any problems. If something breaks in your apartment, good luck getting it fixed in less than 6 months. The "gym" is a broken treadmill and a half working bike. The laundry rooms are never clean or open most of the time. Homeless people live near the dumpsters and even walking around the complex for a little excercise is risky. Avoid.

My plumbing has been horrible since we moved in. All management does is a temporary fix until my bathtub, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and toilet start to overflow because of a few neighbors' back up situation. I have to remove several buckets worth of dirty water so the apartment doesn't flood until maintenance gets here, which is never quick. It takes several hours for them to get here. I've asked to speak to a manager several times, but no one ever gets back to me.

Hello, we would like to know more about this situation and on whether this was taken care of already. We apologize that your experience hasn't gone well so far. We don't want any of our residents to be unhappy. Please contact us directly at residentservicesNM@monarchinvestment.com.
The staff is unorganized and does not disclose all fees that are required. They tell you the fees (almost double what you were told in the beginning) only a week before move in. Very unprofessional. Will not call you back even if they say they are going to.
FBI arrests, police standoffs, rude office, crime everywhere , neighbor was shot. AVOID

I moved to Mission Hill about 6 months ago because the apartment complex where I resided at the time was the basic equivalent of a demilitarized zone! The place was so bad that they actually threatened to take me to court in order to gain compensation for maintenance issues that they were legally responsible for. I received an eviction notice, a summons to court, and my lease was ending so I needed to find a place fast! I'm not from Albuquerque nor am I very familiar with the area and I had many questions and concems about finding a new place of residence. Fortunately I came in contact with Whitney at Mission Hill. I explained my situation and she was there to help me every step of the way. This is a great facility and I do enjoy living here. My apartment is clean, well-maintained, and I wake up to a view of the mountains from my third-story balcony everyday. More importantly I very much appreciate the outstanding service that I have continued to receive from Whitney and the rest of the front office leasing staff. Every time I step into that office, which is quite often, I am met with a great attitude and genuine concern from Whitney and every other member of staff! Oh and just in case anybody is wondering....not only did I win in court but I was also given compensation that paid for my deposit at Mission Hill Apartments!
My husband and I absolutely love it here at Mission Hill! This will be out second time living here. The application process was so painless and Whitney was very fast and efficient! My husband and I have credit issues but Mission Hill was still able to work with us to get us back into a home within a week from completing online application! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and kept nice and clean. The apartments are huge and maintenance takes care of issues immediately! The complex is nice and quiet. We will not be looking for another place for awhile but want to settle here indefinitely. You must come take a look!
Rude and awful leasing consultants, will tell you what you want to hear but wont say a word about any other stipulations or additional fees. Talked to a manager about a consultant not disclosing any additional fees, when consultant found out they became really rude. Nice apartments, terrible staff stay away unless you want your money taken.
These apartments are the worst. They are rude and not helpful and too many problems in the apartment, something is always broken and non stop crime.
I love this place. Nicole who I worked with constantly is absolutely amazing. Her glowing personality is one of the main reasons I love this place. Always so helpful and welcoming.
Whitney at Mission Hills showed me a great apartment with a very reasonable move in special. The apartment location and amenities were exactly what I was looking for. The grounds are clean and well kept. I would have given Mission Hills a 4 star review if it weren’t for Whitney . She worked very hard and was very diligent in her efforts to help me. For that, I give Mission Hills 5 stars.
Roaches, ants, terrible management, awful wiring, thin walls, mold, lots of homeless and addicts. Sketchy people all over the place. Terrible accounting on their part, too. Please, please don’t live here. You’ll regret it. Whatever convenience the area may seem to have, it isn’t worth it.
My husband and I have been here for 9 months and have had an issue with bed bugs at this location. We are not the only ones in the complex having this issue and have contacted the office regarding it several times. We had a treatment done on 10/18/2016 and the bugs are back in the apartment. All the while, we have been watching furniture collect at the dumpsters around the complex, and while I can see people occasionally throwing out a bed or sofa, the number of pieces of furniture that have been stacking up is impressive. As it stands, the furniture that we had brought in to the apartment was either brand new, or freshly re-upholstered before bringing it in. For the first time we noticed the bugs, we were given a checklist of things to do, which my husband and I followed to the letter, and please understand that completing everything on that list to the specifications alone cost over $300 for us. Now we have the bugs in our home again, or they never actually died, either way they are here. We contacted the office on Tuesday after noticing the bugs crawling on me and were told by the manager Adam, that I would receive a call back on the issue later that day. I did not receive the call later that day or the following morning. So I tried calling again, and left a voicemail to please contact me back as I am currently pregnant and high risk and really have no where to go even though I am supposed to be on rest. I have had several problems with this complex but this seems to be the worst. I never did receive a call back on either the call I had made on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, nor on the voicemails that I had left asking for that call back. My husband was finally able to get through only to be told that nothing could be done until after December 5th, which is almost two weeks. As it stands, my husband and I are going to have to get rid of all of our furniture and likely are still not going to have this properly addressed, because there seems to be an infestation at the complex and not necessarily an isolated infestation in our building. I have done quite a bit of research into these infestations and asked the pest control company when they came by the apartment as well. In my research, I have found that federal agencies consider these bugs to give an "uninhabitable living space".

I'm sorry that your experience here has been unsatisfactory. We apologize for any inconveniences or difficulties you've experienced. Please keep in contact with us as we work to resolve your problems.
I'd like to say I have more good than bad to say, but alas... We have lived here with 2 boys since May 2015, everything looked ok- not amazing when we chose this apartment complex. The grounds are nice looking, well established trees provide good shade and large expansive grassy areas give the outside area a nice appeal. Unfortunately, the rock fountains that cut a faux river through the grounds hasn't worked and has not been worked on since we arrived, at one point we found a dirty diaper stewing in brackish water at the top of said fountain. We live on the ground floor, which causes issues with bugs (naturally) and they're diligent in spraying, but because of the old buildings, we have a 1" gap in the top of our sliding glass door creating a vacuum for utility bills and a constant in for cockroaches and large spiders, which are PLENTIFUL this year. The maintenance guy just shrugged and said he can't fix it and that's the last I've heard of that. The other maintenance has been sloppy and haphazard patches, for instance when they said they would replace the screen on our windows and the maintenance guy screwed an ill-fitted screen into the window frame (which I'm sure is a fire violation of some sort.) The replacement screen for the patio that they ordered for us (since there was none upon move in) was admitted by the maintenance man that it just wouldn't close because it is the wrong fit. The grounds are messy, the staff is curt except for one sweet (currently pregnant) rep in the office, their notices are late and often incorrect. It's incredibly mediocre, but it is a place to sleep... and sometimes you realize you bought a lemon halfway into a contract. I could go on, but you get the idea.
I've been here for 2-3 years and this complex was good to begin with but management has really been lazy. Me and my husband are expecting our first child and plan on moving out of this place when our lease is up, in November. We have looked at other places but the rent is not add what we have here (585) not more like 780. Expecting a child and working full time is definitely hard work. I've used apartments.com since I was 17 and is always helped me, even with the ones we are looking at now. My husband and I have a couple favorites listed in the app. We look forward to seeing more. Thanks.
