Located between two rivers and stretched along the bay, Woodbridge is an ideal city for those who enjoy the water -- and shopping, since it is also home to Potomac Mills Mall, one of North Virginia's largest outlet malls. Woodbridge is located along Occoquan Bay and is home to the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a natural area with tidal shorelines, meadows, and marshes, making the city ideal for nature lovers, as well. And for history buffs, Leesylvania State Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (and is also a great place for boating and fishing). Commuters enjoy a quick, 23 miles to Washington, D.C., making Woodbridge perfect for just about everyone.

Property Ratings at Misty Ridge Apartments
There are under 1.5 parking spaces per unit after the spaces outside the office and 1st night visitor spaces are taken out. Every valid on road parking space is taken nearly every night. Supposedly no commercial vehicles allowed but they have no problem with xfinity workers parking on the lot (or the church vans) or "what if its their only vehicle" and knowingly give out visitor permits for work trucks. Tow company only goes through during the hours they get the late night fee, and will not confirm the reasons the complex allows tows. Constant stream of police calls for domestic disputes. My neighbor hot boxes his apartment so badly his kids were fanning the door to clear out some smoke and breath. Neighbors go to the wing place across the road and leave bones all over the lawn, if you have a dog be careful
Ive been living here almost 3 years now and I love it. The leasing office gives no problems and is always nice. Even through the covid when money was tight they never harassed anyone for money or anything like that. The maintenance team is always friendly as well.
New management is great! Especially the property manager Linda. She answered all my questions in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend.
For a while it was hard to get in contact with anyone from the office because of management change. Overall I enjoyed my stay but just not worth the money I'm being charged for rent.
Misty Ridges online reviews do not reflect the current state of the property and office staff. There has been a transition with Management and it shows! I am overall really thrilled about living here and the staff is wonderful!
This is the dirtiest apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. One day two of my move in I noticed roaches. I’ve never had roaches a day in my life. I immediately reported the issue to the staff. They sent out pest control and the pest control did the bare minimum. The office staff made me aware that my neighbors have a bad pest control problem and the bugs are coming from their apartment. The problem is still ongoing and it’s getting worse. I would’ve moved but I was so far in my pregnancy I couldn’t manage at the time. Now I have a new born and it’s a lot to move at this time. The office said I could move into another unit but I had to pay more. That is the worst customer service I’ve experienced ever. They want me to pay more when they are the reason I am uncomfortable. I haven’t had company since I’ve seen a roach. I work very hard 2 jobs both in healthcare professions and I pay my rent on time and upfront but I have to come home to roaches completely unsanitary and be around chemicals with my new born. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money someplace where you will be comfortable and clean. Ive reaches out to management recently about another possible solution recently and they have refused to speak with me, return my calls and acknowledge the issue
We’ve lived here two years. The only major issue we’ve had is parking. The section where we live, parking is terrible! There have been plenty of nights when I’ve had to park on the opposite end of our street. There’s been a car with a flat tire that hasn’t moved in a couple of months. I’ve complained and asked that it be towed. Instead, someone filled the tire but now it’s flat again. There are plenty of nights that resident spots are taken by visitors but don’t get towed. Very annoying. Other than that, we’ve had no other issues here.
I had stayed at Misty Ridge for 15 months which the location is very nice there is a lot to do around the complex but while I was there the unit above me had several leaks that’s caused literally a waterfall into my apartment several times, the complex was SUPER slow in getting this fixed as the ceiling had a hole in it for 3 weeks, and to make things better they left stains all over the carpet. Also, my car had been towed by their tow company that they have contacted because my tags were “dead”, I had renewed them and had the paper work to show so in my vehicle and they nor the tow company cared or would reimburse me for the trouble (costed me $200 to get my car back). Also, when I had moved out and asked when I would get my security deposit, I was told I wouldn’t be getting that back because of the cleaning that needed to be done to it (if I remember correctly was $250), I left the apartment spotless I even steam cleaned the carpet. Would love to know what exact cleaning that was done. Therefore, I personally would recommend finding another complex.
Apartments reek of marijuana, neighbors are rude, and office has terrible customer service. I called 3 days in a row and got no answer however COINCIDENTALLY when I called from another phone number I got an answer. No one in the office is one h same page. Apartment “vinyl” floors are terrible and look cheap. Save your money and move elsewhere. Oh and if you have a pet do no be fooled by the pictures of the dog park which look nothing like the picture in person. The dog park is not kept up and fence does not even close allowing your dog to escape.
As a former resident and as someone who’s friend is a current occupant, trust me when I say steer far away from Misty Ridge. There are so many better places to live in Woodbridge/Dale City. These apartments have a very unique stench to them. You know how they say smell is the strongest sense tied to memory? You never forget that moldy ashtray odor of Misty Ridge. I used to think the stench was due to my neighbor, but my buddy’s apartment has the exact distinct smell. It is also not safe to live here. I caught some young kid checking to see if apartment doors were unlocked at 9 am on a Wednesday morning. I reported it to the leasing office and they acted like it was no big deal. Also, there is clearly drug activity going on in the community. It was common to see empty little baggies with residue in them scattered on the sidewalks. The amenities are just not that nice here. The apartments all feel outdated and cheap. (Which they are.) Something will not work when you move in. Guaranteed. It will take days to fix. And it’s always something critical, like the A/C. Finally, Misty Ridge’s obsession with parking regulation is unlike anything you will witness in the metro area. Or anywhere, for that matter. Seriously. My vehicle is registered in Fairfax county, up to date on everything, and yet they found a reason to tow it from a visitor’s spot under THEIR rules. They’ve given their towing company carte blanche and have enabled them to a gestapo like level. They take it upon themselves to be 100 times stricter than any municipality. How this is even legal is beyond me. Please, do yourself (and your friends/family/visitors) a favor and choose to live elsewhere. You can get much more bang for your buck at dozens of other communities in the area.
I’ve lived in this complex for about a year and I love it. The apartments are nice and up to date and the staff is always professional and prompt when you need assistance. Best complex I’ve ever stayed in hands down.
Moved expecting renovations, the walls were poorly painted, dryer didn't work, none of the outlets worked and hardwood floors had scratches all over them and some were laid down poorly Terrible
We lived there a year ago and we loved it but do to work we had to move out when our lease ended. Now we are back in the area when we wanted to come back they wanted $200 more for a non renovated unit than what I was paying for before. Sorry misty but you guys need to step it up.
My husband and I love our apartment. The community is very nice and it is located near many great restaurants and shopping venues. It is a bit pricey but for the area we have found that it is reasonable. It is newly renovated with new appliances, hard wood floors, and granite counter tops. Our patio view is nice, we enjoy getting to know our neighbors. But most of all we are so happy that it is dog friendly!
This is the best apartment complex i have lived in in a long time. The neighbors are so friendly. There is plenty of parking. The location is the best close to the hospital, mall, conveniently located in major roadways, including I-95 and route 1. Freshly renovated apartments and does not cost a lot. They do have moving specials which were helpful.
my apartment looks ok from the patio you can look at the trees instead of the highway a much better view the floors are better than the other apartment i lived in instead of carpet the kitchen and living room has a hardwood floor look much better
Older apartment complex going through some major updates. Pleasant community. Reasonable rates.
