Do you see adventures on the horizon? Then you should consider moving to Papago, a large Phoenix neighborhood just north of Sky Harbor International Airport. And speaking of horizon, you can gaze out at a spectacular red-and-gold sunrise from inside the famous sandstone Hole-in-the-Rock caverns at Glen Canyon.
Red sandstone formations encompass Papago Park. The park is a favorite hiking destination for locals, and it houses the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden. During the garden’s Las Noches de las Luminarias festival, visitors are delighted by hundreds of glowing paper lanterns illuminating the various gardens at night.
Locals enjoy Papago’s convienient access to Phoenix’s art and culture museums as well as major roadways. Shopping in the area includes stores such as Target, Burlington, and Ross. So what are you waiting for? It’s time for you to Papa-go get your apartment.

Property Ratings at Modena
Management refuses to help residents, they pass the problem onto other people. They never answer the phone. Great community but the management team is not it.
I’ve been a tenant for three months in a BRAND NEWLY MODELLED apartment. From day one the toilet broke, wouldn’t flush and shot water everywhere when you lifted the lid I had to disconnect it for 4 days before someone came to look at it. the dishwasher flooded the kitchen, the sink leak also, vent in the kitchen ceiling leaked. All were “fixed” Not! The cheap plastic paint is falling off, bu bling with all the water beneath it, the mold that’s there, ew. The bathtub/shower has same plastic paint keeps chipping away and is now all rusty. Blinds have been broken since day one, fall out I had to buy curtains so I wasn’t living in a fishbowl. Patio screen broken and never fixed. The doorway to get in floods when it rains and the patio, so badly that the same plastic paint used just sloughs off making a mess and you are left with old broken concrete. Getting a hold of someone is impossible. Looked nice until you realize they put lipstick on a huge pig piece of garbage. I’d attach pictures if I could. For the rent they ask, it’s a joke. Don’t rent here.
AC has been broken for about 2 months now and they do not fix them. I have requested 6 work orders only for then to say completed one random day while my apartment stays at 98° And not a single person has worked on the unit. The units they use to replace them are Goodman units and after researching then online, I discovered that even the most expensive of these units perform at 1/3 the capacity of other AC units. Please save yourselves the trouble of living here, it is not worth it. There was a leak and they had to cut a hole in my wall to fix it. That was 8 months ago and there is still a hole in my wall even though I requested it gets fixed months and months ago. DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR COMFORT AND SANITY!
I've lived in this apartment complex a total of seven years and had a new manager just about every other year. Brett is the latest one and let's just say he gets nothing done at all. He will advice a date that he will contact you back to make sure matters are done and won't even do it. My rent is going up $500 and I have been asking for a replacement fridge because periodically the freezer stars making loud noises. I have sent videos I have put in multiple Maintenance request and nothing has happened. I was told I had to much in my freezer when in fact it's nothing more that I've had in the 7 years I've been here. Idk why it's so hard to switch out a fridge literally been dealing with this since May. I also asked to have my house repainted I'm being told they couldn't do that while I'm staying here but yet they replaced my floors and made me pay for it while I was staying here, how is painting any different. I was refused a carpet cleaning unless o resign a lease. How can you expect me to resign a lease if you can't even fix the basics in my apartment let alone respond back to me. This apartment has great location but that's about it.
Horrible management!!! Maintenance doesn't know how to fix anything properly. They fix stuff w tape lol. Literally. Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors all the time. No security, gates are always open or broken. You will find dog poop just about everywhere in the complex as well. Don't leave anything on your patio that you like because it will get stolen. Management won't care that it got stolen either. Maintenance request? Wait until you complain for about a month then it might get done but not right.

Horrible management and people in the office. No one knows what they are doing here. We have lived here a year and was told we were approved to change units but then they sent us the old lease and when asking about it they said they needed my Boyfriends social security card because an alert supposedly came up on his number but this was only found out by me going in and asking what’s going on with the unit. They do not have their act together at all at this property!

Dear Resident, We are sorry that you have not had a great experience. Whenever we run an application for rental there may be times where we are required to gather more information based on what is input by the residents on their applications. We are truly excited that you did choose to continue to call Modena "Home". If there is anything further I can personally assist with, please do not hesitate to contact me at modenamgr@knightvest.com Sincerely, Candace McDonald Property Manager
This complex is great, the neighbors are quiet and friendly. Every Tuesday and Thursday we have food trucks in the parking lot, and every month our management holds some kind of community event. Whether it be a movie night or giving out flowers on Valentine’s Day it’s always a treat.

Modena apartments has been a blessing for my girlfriend & I! Their location is excellent, being right on the border of Tempe & Scottsdale, as well as having Papago park and a nice 5k trail within walking distance. They also have a large area with great amenities (I love their gym!) Plus, apartment life is an AWESOME program that throws free events that are a blast every month.

Long story short, make sure you put your written 60 day notice in, even if you have covid and can still spread it. I tried for 3 months to get our floor fixed, never got it fixed. We went months without a washer and dryer, never complained. Our roof caved in, didn't complain. They came into my apartment and broke my personal property, said it was going to be replaced, it wasn't. I get a call that managers were coming to view the property and they said I needed my blinds replaced, they were there in 10 minutes to replace it. I had termites in my closet as well. I get the first phone call for renewal 60+ days out from my lease ending and I promptly tell them I will not be renewing and that I was out of state at that time because my father had a heart attack. I was told 'oh my gosh I'm so sorry, I'll note the account'. Don't worry, they don't record their calls so you can't prove anything one way or another. I get back about 30 days before move out and immediately catch covid and I was in the hospital and had to quarantine for almost 3 weeks. Immediately I went into the office when I could not spread it anymore and gave them their MUCH needed written notice. I get a bill for 1600 dollars after move out, the manager there is nice, but absolutely zero help. I got billed for every day (rent) I didn't give notice, even though I let them know over the phone when they called. Bottom line is I never complained, rent was paid on the first of every month, a super easy tenant. I plead my case with the manager there and she pretty much said it's in the contract (true) we can't help you. Even with all of the stuff I put up with noted above, nothing. I was told I would go immediately to collections mid month, in which if I do I would lose my government license and in turn my job OR a payment plan. So if you do live here, tell your father to not have a heart attack right before your 60 day notice because they will not remind you and I do apologize for letting that slip my mind after 18 months of living there. Don't be out of state taking care of a sick parent and definitely if you have covid just go right in the office and give them that 60 day notice!

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a few months and love it so much! We're in a great area, with just a short walk to the pool and the gym. There's an amazing walking path in the back at Papago park as well! Everyone here so far has been extremely friendly, we love all of our neighbors & plan to be here for a while. It's in a great location being right on the highway, not too far from Tempe or Scottsdale. Love it, super clean and safe. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Been living here for 2 months and last night I had water leaking from multiple spots in the ceiling. Called the after-hours line and someone showed up about an hour later. He went and checked the unit above. After about another hour he came back down to tell me the apartment was flooding because of a tenant issue. This morning they sent over maintenance who told me he saw an issue with my AC unit the day before and the leak was caused by my A/C unit. My first problem is if you saw it walking by, then why not address it before it causes a problem. I went back to the office to talk to the manager who then confirmed it was my AC. I asked why the guy the night before would say the apartment is flooding then? She said well I'll call the supervisor and ask him, I said he hasn't been over there he's not gonna know. She said he's the supervisor, he knows what's going on. She then calls him and he has no idea what's going on.

Modena is really awesome. The property is very well kept and the staff is all really accommodating and kind. The price you pay is well worth it given what you get (in-apartment laundry, for one!!), especially considering the location in Phoenix. I’m super glad I found them when I moved back to the Valley and I absolutely love it here!

Worse apartment complex I ever ever lived at! I should’ve listed to the preview reviews but I needed a place to stay for 3 months while I bought my house! They charged me late fees without explaining to me why when the payment was made on time! Never answer their phones when calling! Charged me more in rent because they didn’t have my apartment ready so had to move me to a different one! Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere
You can't beat the location; it's so close to everything. I got a semi-updated 2 bedroom: walls are gray, countertops in kitchen and baths reglazed, new tubs surrounds. As for management, it has improved since I moved in over a year ago. It was apathetic when I moved in, now they are pretty responsive. With one exception, I've never had to wait more than a day for a maintenance request. The complex is very dog-friendly, almost too much so. In my building alone, there are at least 7 dogs, and the surrounding buildings have 5 to seven dogs each. So there is a lot of barking. The lease agreement states that all dogs should be leashed unless they are at the dog park. However, there is one couple in my building who have 2 large dogs who are constantly running around off-leash and despite numerous complains, nothing is done about it. The grounds are pretty well-kept, although the last few weeks, neither of the dog waste receptacles near my building have been emptied. In general, I'm happy here. No complex is perfect, and for a large complex, this one has surprisingly few issues.
I have never dealt with a property management team that is so disorganized, unprofessional, and takes absolutely no accountability for their short comes. The “Property Manager” is disrespectful and should not be managing a property this size with a lack of customer service, communication, or resolution skills. I contacted Adam (Property Manager) to discuss a referral credit that was never received and from the beginning of the conversation it began with a condescending tone up until the point where He began to blame me and the person I referred as being the reason for the credit not applying. He stated that I am the Emergency Contact but the original app didn’t have my name as the referral. I also initially spoke with Michelle (Assistant Manager) at the time that the person I referred was applying, who advised that she manually put me down as the referral and after two months I would receive said promotion. Now 2 1/2 months later there is no document of said conversation and because the manager didn’t like MY tone (though not disrespectful or vulgar) he decides to decline the referral credit as his way of exerting what little authority he has. When I first moved in me and my husband witnessed this same manager talking disrespectful to another former property employee (Debbie) and felt very uncomfortable but still decided to move here because of how pleasant Debbie was however, shortly after she relocated to another property. Couldn’t blame her to be honest because if that’s the tone and disrespect you show to your paying tenants I’m sure it’s worse behind doors in the office. I have contacted corporate and will post an update on the final resolution. Please do not be fooled with all the renovations that the property is undergoing as this of course is to get more people in the door. But, once you have ANY issues with the office personnel, you will HATE you ever signed that lease.
We have lived here for about 5 years now and can attest to the decline of this property since it was sold and new management took over. The rent continues to go up without any improvements other than 2 very ugly colors that have been chosen to paint the complex. Also, the on call security that has been an amenity here for years, no longer exists. We did not receive notice of this and now are being told to call non emergency Phoenix police department. I'm not going to call them since they do not follow up with the front office. Also, the front gate is constantly open so no more amenity of living in a gated community. I will say this, management is very kind and friendly when we make our needs and concerns aware to them.
We loved this complex when it was Red Mountain (Weidner Management)! They were so accommodating, pleasant, and transparent. We had zero issues moving to a downstairs apartments at the end of our lease when I became pregnant, even though we decided to stay last minute and had signed off that we were moving. Then they sold to Knightvest and the complex became Modena, pretty much without warning. I wish we had moved while our lease was still under Red Mountain! Modena tried to enforce new policies that weren't in our original contracts (like telling our neighbor he needed to give 60 days notice when his contract was still under Red Mountain and clearly said 30 days). All of their mistakes are "computer errors". I guess I'll add that the amenities are pretty good. It's nice having Papago right there, lots of pools (that are sometimes clean but really it's hit or miss. Ours was closed for like 3 months without explanation, we were told to "just use the main pool" when we asked how much longer it'd be closed). They updated some of the equipment in the gym (but it's almost unusable because of the heavy air freshener). There's a dog park but it's usually pretty nasty, it was like that under old management, too, though. I could go on but suffice it to say -- the amenities aren't worth the headache of dealing with management. Pretty sure this company is just going to flip the complex so they don't really have to care about customer service.

Hello, This is Adam, Modena’s Property Manager. First off thank you for taking time to write a review about Modena. I understand that there is always going to be good and bad reviews. Please feel free to stop in and meet with me or email me directly at modenamgr@knightvest.com. I look forward to helping you. Adam
I've lived here for a few months and I've noticed a growing trend. Appearance over quality. IF you look closely at these 'newly renovated' apartments you will see that the quality of these renovations is next to none. It really is sad. I was excited to live here, but now I am just disappointed in what I signed into.
It's a gigantic complex and there is a hard working team. Everyone tries very hard to continue to give a great experience from move-in to living to moving out. Office management has been nothing but pleasant and helpful. The maintenance team is a small army that goes around getting at everything within their reach. It's a nice community and hope it grows with interesting characters. Thank you.
New management is not good. Makes older management look amazing. At least maintenance from the last management got to your issue within the week. You’ll be lucky to see these maintenance workers get to your issue within 2. Every time I drive past the maintenance shed, they are out there horsing around. I’ve witnessed and heard them burn out on the golf carts near the parking lot that people park their cars in. I get it. You try to keep work fun, but have a level of professionalism that doesn’t put people at injury risk or damage risk. To make matters worse, the organization seems minimal at best. They’ll “fix” one thing, and come back a week later to fix it again, when it’s already been fixed. The last management would actually get after maintenance to fix stuff. The last management would move over in the golf carts when they were giving tours, allowing for residents to pass while they leave or enter the area. Not these guys. They will go slow and even stop in front of you. Have some courtesy! We are PAYING guests at your facility. The ones you are giving tours to, haven’t committed! One last story to leave you all with: asked them to fix the door.... they put the lock on upside down.......
Stay away!!! New management is worst and their maintanance team doesnot even know how to fix basic AC problems. They never have an attitude of fixing issues. Very disapointted with the way their manager responds to resident issues. Old management was way better than new mgmt.
Me and my roommate moved into one of the 2 bedroom/ 2 bath loft style apartments a couple months before the old management was bought out by Knightvest, and thank goodness they did. We were drawn in by the moderate price, great location, loft style apts. and good amentities. Although our apartment was outdated the overall complex made up for it. To keep it short and sweet even though I've been living here for a few months it's easy to how bad the last management group (Weidner)was and how good Knightvest is. Maintenance has been impressive, office staff is good enough, amenities are pretty good and the location is terrific. My only complaint is due to the size of the complex and the management updating many of the apartments, the complex can get busy and parking can be difficult and I did get stuck in one of the outdated units. Modena should be high on your list because it has a great location (Arcadia, Papapgo Mtn., zoo, freeways) great price, good floorplans and if you can score one of the updated apartments its a bonus.
The breakfast on the go was great. The staff is so helpful and kind and Michelle is so pleasant. Thank you! For making Modena a lovely place to live. Kimberly
My family really enjoyed the pool party the complex hosted and felt led to write a 5 star review! First off the property is very beautiful and clean which is important for my family and myself. The staff is awesome to deal with as well, great energy and helpful. Especially Adam, he's very professional and is knowledgeable. If you need something or have questions he's the MAN!!
I HAVEN'T EVEN MOVED IN YET AND THERE'S ALREADY PROBLEMS. I'm due to move in on February 1, 2018. Back in December 2017, I completed my application online. Paid 2 separate app fees of $46 each. Then, a few days later, Valerie left me a message saying I was approved. The next day, I called back to find out the next steps. I was told by Tammie that Valerie was out sick and that all I needed to do was to go online and pay the $350 deposit for the apartment I picked out. I immediately did so. since then, I have not heard anything from anyone so I called on Tuesday (Jan 16, 2018) of this week to schedule a time when I can view the apartment before my actual move in. I got no answer. So I emailed the same request. NO response. I called and emailed again on Wednesday. NO response. I emailed Regional Office on Thursday. NO response. I called Regional Office Friday (today) and of course, NO answer so I left a message. I turned the info over to my lawyer this morning to find out what I can do. I WILL be getting my money back, I would not recommend this place to anyone. if you can't even get them to respond before you move in, what do you think it's going to be like when you actually move in and have problems that need attending. Sad too because it's really is a nice complex and close to everything...BUT NOT WORTH THE HASSLE WITH MANAGEMENT/OFFICE STAFF.
I have lived here for almost a year now, I love this place. Like any place it has its pros and cons but I think the pros way out weigh the cons. My main pros are Great staff, Pet friendly, and great amenities. Since I am giving a good review I will start with the con's -Building are old. This means they are not all fully updated, and have typical old building issues, but we had nothing structural or serious come up. If you are looking for a state of the art building, this is not the place for you. This is my only real con. - A small second which was not a con for me, would be if you are bothered by dog barking make sure your apartment is not by the dog park. Pros are Great Management and Maintenance -Tammie Groat is the leasing manager, She is fantastic. She has always been more than happy to talk to me, and help with anything she can. -The Maintenance staff and Maintenance manager (Matt) are fantastic!! They typically fix any issues submitted online within a week, and if they are not fixed, you can call and they will gladly let you know why, typically its when they are waiting on a part. They are also great with pets, My dog loves the maintenance guy, he flops over for a belly rub every time he sees him. -Most dog friendly apartment I have ever known. I have rented for a while now, and this place is so pet loving, and friendly its great! They have well kept grass everywhere, and even leave nice potty bags all around the complex. They keep it well maintained and empty all potty containers daily. They even have a small on site dog park, perfect for meeting neighbors and letting your dog get some off leash time. -Good on call response time, if you have a maintenance emergency, they are typically very good at calling you back or coming out quickly. -Quiet neighborhood, the neighbor hood is typically pretty quiet, even around common areas -lots of great amenities, This place has so many pools its amazing! there is always space at at least one. Many grill around the facility, there is a dog park, car wash, volley ball court, and many grassy areas. All common areas are very well maintained, pools kept great during the summer months.
I’ve been living this apartment complex for about a year and half. My lease is ending in a few months and I cannot wait to move out. It is a great location but I would suggest to live somewhere else. Within a year and half, I had 19 maintenance requests excluding three emergency maintenance calls. First action of maintenance is good most of the time including the emergency maintenance calls but if they can’t fix it at the time, they tell you someone will come and fix it but there is no follow up action. I have stackable washer/dryer in my unit, it was brand new when I moved in March but it started leaking water. Original request was submitted on August 26 and someone came and said someone else will come and fix it. I had to request another one on September 14 and they installed the new machine but it was September 29. For certain things you will be asked to sign the authorization form with expectation (who will be responsible for what not) for contractors to come in beforehand but that does not happen for all the cases. I was told that someone will come in tomorrow and I know for sure no one came because my mother was staying with me and she was at home all day and following day when no one is at home, a contractor goes into my unit without telling me and move my stuff to living room and on my bed (shoes on my picture frame on top of my pillow where I sleep) with dust from repairing work on top of it. If I knew I had to move my stuff so that they can work on repairs, I would happily move my stuff somewhere else. I would have covered my bed so I dont have to sleep in the bed with dust. The leasing office supposed to be open at 9am but no one answers at 9:40am. Once I sent email few times (so that I have record of communicating with them) but they never replies so I called the office and the girl who picked up my call says ‘oh yea I saw the email.’ well if you saw it please respond. A staff who helped me move in went above & beyond so I was excited to live at this complex first but I think he left and now its just continuous disappointments and cannot wait to move out. And probably they dont even care because even if I move out someone else will move in. If you want to keep good tenants, they would offer cheapest rate for 12 months but this location, they offer 11 or 10 months for the cheapest option. They dont want to keep you there that long from the beginning.
Full review for 2 bed, 2 bath (out of five stars): Apartment grounds: 5/5. The groundskeeper keeps this place shipshape and beautiful. It's nice to walk around even at night. Location: 5/5. This is a major selling point for Red Mountain Villas. Access to Tempe, downtown Phoenix, the airport (7-8 mins away), and Old Town Scottsdale can't be much better than this. This is why a lot of young professionals and small families live here. Quality of interior/appliances: 3/5. fairly standard and middling quality apartment interior/appliances. Faux tile, new carpet, somewhat worn and cheaply made cupboards and light fixtures, good paint job, and mid-to-low end of the line appliances. Nothing fancy. Not a lot of extra space for two people. Noise: 4/5. I sometimes hear the airplanes take off the in the morning and an occasional semi rolling by on the 202, but for the most part, it is a very peaceful place. Access to recreation: 4/5. The walking path around the Papago golf course is well kept and gives you access to bike paths. Though it's a bit of a trek to get to the paved canal trail, it's still a great benefit for runners/bikers. Papago Park is nearby as well. Parking and Directions: 3.5/5. Fairly standard parking as well. One covered parking spot included in rent. Though it may be better for some residents than others, there is a lot of open parking on the south end of the complex. Giving directions to Uber drivers and friends inside the complex can be a bit of a pain. Amenities: 4/5. To be honest, I don't use the amenities much. The gym and a few of the pools are closer to 3/5 stars. There is however a nice sand volleyball court, a decent racquetball court, and a covered car wash station which give Red Mountain a unique set of offerings. Management and Maintenance: 3.5/5. They are professional and to the point. Don't always know how long maintenance tasks will be completed, but are eager to help. Though the website and app are convenient ways to submit maintenance requests, communication on when the requests will be completed (if they are at all) is spotty. Around a quarter of the time I have to call the front office to follow up on tasks, but when they do the work, they do it well and are very professional about it. My Personal Dollar for Dollar Value: 3.5/5. A little over 1K a month, this was a marginal choice for an apartment. The biggest selling points for me were location, washer and dryer in the apartment, and a peaceful and beautiful complex.
Complex is located minutes away from Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix. Beautiful scenery nearby. Maintenance staff is quick and always fixes whatever issue I have in the apartment. Lots of pools, there's a sand volleyball court, car washing area, and gym. Price is good for the area.
I been here a few months now, the pool and volleyball court are great, and so it the handball court but I wish they had a basketball court too. Their security it not the best but their mainance people are the best!
Stay clear of this place unless you enjoy living with cockroaches. Turning the lights on and seeing all the cockroaches run off your countertops into your cupboards has become normal here, along with the weekly treatments that require you to empty ALL of your cupboards, move ALL of your furniture away from walls and wash EVERYTHING in your apartment....at your own expense....this has become such a NIGHTMARE.

Hello Austin, I appreciate hearing your feedback again. My apologies that you are having a frustrating experience of this nature. If you are willing, I would be interested in speaking with you to discuss your residency in further detail. I can be reached at 855.411.9343 or via email at customerservice@weidner.com. Kind regards, Kristie - Customer Service
It has potential to pull you in with amenities like ponds, choice of pools, indoor racquetball, car wash, gym, but no longer enjoy cause maintenance is not kept up on these. Indoor court is a hot oven with no air circulation & broken lights & dirty slippery floors w/dust bunnies. Car wash has broken water sprayers. Easily can get stuck inside pools since keys or gate aren't easy to open. Contacting office makes you an enemy, they aren't welcoming to hear complaints & on the defense.
While most of the buildings are old and in need of a renovation, the cheap rent and the access to Papago park in your back yard make up for it in a big way.
Great location near freeways as well as between downtown and Tempe. Complex is mostly quiet and inexpensive. Don't be looking for any fancy upgrades or a perfect home lots of little things wrong which can be annoying but bit the price can't go wrong
I live in the Red Mountain Apartments. They are actually pretty decent. The staff is nice and the maintenance is okay. There is about 700 apartments so i understand why maintenance takes a litter longer. Security at night and gates are closed throughout the night. I don't like how they are open during the day but better at night. Overall i feel extremely safe at these units and i recommend them to anyone who is trying to find one in this area.
This complex is huge, has multiple apartment layout options, a private entrance onto the Botanical Gardens, 7 pools, a workout room, a racquetball court, a volleyball court, a fish pond, a duck pond, a car wash stall, and even a little convenience store. Each building has its own grassy area which includes a doggy waste plastic bag dispenser and trashcan. The maintenance staff is excellent, each apartment has its own separate air conditioning unit, and you can choose to pay extra for your own washer/dryer or use the laundry room. Even the office staff is polite! This is right off a major freeway and very close to Arizona State University.
I've lived here for two and a half years and have had a pretty good experience. Maintenance requests are handled pretty quickly and the location, of course, is great. Right next to the 202 and in the middle of Phoenix & Tempe and very close to Scottsdale. No bug or critter issues in the whole time I've been here. I love the fitness center and there are several nice pools. However, the front office staff could be a little friendlier and the grills are situated near the few grass locations so when people don't pick up after their dogs - that can be a little gross. All in all, I would definitely recommend this apartment complex.
My dad always said, the three most important factors when it comes to real estate: "Location, location, location." At the intersection of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe, Red Mountain Villas is less than 10 minutes from all the activity and convenience you desire. But you don't even have to hop in a car to hit a home run. Walk out the back gate and step onto Papago Trail, a four-mile desert loop with a short lookout climb at the halfway point that is the perfect view for a mountain view sunrise or cityscape sunset. Then come home to a dip in the year-round heated pool or spa. For the price, you can't beat this spot.
When you live here, you won't want to live anywhere else! All the conviences, just off the 202 highway, centrally located to Scottsdale and Tempe. Near Botanical Gardens, Phoenix Zoo, golf course and Papago Buttes. Home never felt so good! Full access gym, several pools, sand volleyball, private access to walking path. BBQ areas and a car wash station. Privacy and spacious apartments, with many floor plans. Security gates and my favorite, Koi ponds and ducks! Pets are welcome! A friendly staff and efficient and prompt maintenance makes life easier. I promise if you come, you will stay! Come find the right apartment for you! Welcome home neighbor! #satisfiedtenant
The apartment complex is clean. Staff is accommodating and helpful. Good neighbors around the buildings. The apartments themselves are nice and have good square footage. Overall Red Mountain Villas is definitely a solid place to live.
my husband and I have lived in our current apartment for 3 years and have found the community very quiet. The location is very convenient to most everything in the east valley. I would recommend this apartment community to most anyone looking for a temporary or long term home.
great apartment for great price. Washer and dryer in unit for $595/month can't complain. Yes the one bedroom only is 518 sq ft and the interior is basic, but who cares if you are the only guy? For one guy, it's perfect. Great location, full weight room. I think this is the best apartment complex in Phoenix. I lived in 10 apartments since I was 19 and started college and this beats em all. I am good at finding deals, but this one takes the cake in terms of all around amenities.
I just moved out of Red Mountain Villas at the end of a one year lease. When I first moved in I loved the place. The grounds are beautiful and the place was quiet and felt safe for a single female with a teenager. But as time went by we found there are some skeletons hiding in the closets. Halfway through the lease we started to have some maintenance issues. The frame around the upstairs window started leaking when it rained, and apparently had been for some time as there was extensive water damage. Instead of finding the leak they came in and just plastered over the mold, damaging my bed frame when they moved it out of the way. When the water started leaking in again they said they would have to get their roofers out to take a look. Around the same time there started to be an issue with the air conditioner dripping and soaking the carpet. Every time we reported it they would come out and do something that would get it to stop for a couple of weeks and then it would start again. There was one time I called to report it and no one came out to look. Finally, a month later I called again. They came out and replaced a couple of parts and had to order some more. After talking to a neighbor who had just moved in I found out that maintenance was doing shoddy work for everyone. It seems that they were too busy remodeling the office and club house, which were already nice to begin with, by adding completely unnecessary feature such as waterfall glass walls. Also, and I can't stress this enough, READ YOUR LEASE THOROUGHLY! We tried to give them verbal notice that we would not be renewing our lease and they would not accept it. They wanted us to sign paperwork to say that we would not be renewing the lease, and that had to be turned in 30 days in advance. Even after we raised a fuss about this I got an email "reminder" that the lease was almost up and asking if I would be renewing. They are currently trying to charge me for an extra month even though we were completely moved out three weeks before the end of our lease.
