Hamilton, Ontario lies at the western end of Lake Ontario on the southern shore of landlocked Hamilton Harbour. The city was named after George Hamilton, who established the original town in 1815. Today, Hamilton is known as one of Canada’s leading industries for iron and steel. Other industries in the city include the manufacturing of railroad equipment, clothing, appliances, and automotive parts. One of the most important places to visit is Dundurn Castle, the former site of a fortified military encampment established by the British in 1813.
Since Hamilton is close to Niagara Falls, check out the Niagara Escarpment, which provides spectacular scenery with beautiful trails and waterfalls. If you’re looking for a good place to take a stroll with your family, Bayfront Park offers a calm environment to watch the duck, geese, and birds. A must-see is the Waterfalls of Hamilton. Pack a lunch and bring a camera to capture the natural beauty of Hamilton.

Property Ratings at Mohawk Towers
This building is overrun with cockroaches, and the property management is beyond unprofessional. Honestly, I should’ve taken one look at the superintendent’s filthy office and walked away—it’s in desperate need of more than just a dusting. Snow removal? Practically non-existent. If you’ve got somewhere to be after a snowfall, plan on digging yourself out. The lack of preparation is frustrating, to say the least. The hallways and each floor constantly reek of cigarette smoke, and the so-called “friendly” neighbors? Think again. Be prepared for nosy, judgmental residents who shout unsolicited comments from their windows—especially if you’re struggling in the snow or trying to get by with a wagon. It’s uncomfortable and unnecessary. Don’t hold out hope that this place will improve—it won’t. I regret ever expecting it to. The superintendent clearly couldn’t care less about tenant satisfaction—only about collecting rent. Good luck to anyone thinking they’ll leave this place happier than when they moved in. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. Definitely not worth it for any newly weds or first time renters, young adults.
