Mondial River West

On March 11, I applied for an apartment and disclosed my credit situation upfront. Underwriting assured me it wouldn't be an issue, yet I was denied on March 13. I paid $515, expecting a $450 refund for the admin fee, but it hasn't arrived after 17 days. Despite multiple calls, promises of reimbursement, and filling out online forms, there's been no response. Despite assurances of callbacks, including from the manager, nothing has materialized. This experience has been frustrating, and I advise against engaging with this organization. A denial should trigger an immediate refund, and the lack of organization suggests possible malpractice.

I have really enjoyed my time with Mondial River West. I have found the staff to be very welcoming and quick to help me with anything that I need.

It’s been great here and we’ve only moved in a week ago. Love the vibes here, everyone is friendly and there are a lot of adorable dogs. The staff are awesome which I feel makes this place ten times better.

We love everyone at Mondial, it really feels like home. Everytime we have an issue, maintenance is very quick to help. Every time we need Lizette she is there and willing to help with a smile.

It’s the best building I have stayed in Chicago yet. The management team is amazing and same with everyone who lives here. Hopefully I will be able to resign!

I’ve only been here for 48 hours but I love it. Everyone is so nice and the building seems very well maintained. I feel very grateful to live here and hope to stay for years.

So far, my experience here has been wonderful. The apartments are some of the largest in the city and everyone from the front door concierge to the building managers are extremely helpful and friendly. My husband and I also really appreciate the tenant activities that are set up by our property manager Lizette. We 100% recommend this building!

Just moved in but it everyone has been really nice and the property overall is really clean. They even had a little welcome kit in the unit.

This building is great! The location is absolutely perfect and everyone who works here is so friendly. The apartments are spacious and we have a huge balcony which we love! I don't have any complaints about Mondial.

I absolutely love it here! The community at the Mondial is wonderful and it officially feels like home. I do not have any complaints. I am ?? ready to get back out on my balcony and enjoy the summer here!

So Far ... Amazing building and so happy that we are here. We have met so many people and enjoy every event that has been done so far. I would definitely recommend to others.

I just moved into Mondial with my girlfriend and couldn't have had a better experience. There were just a couple of things wrong with the appliances when I moved in and when I submitted a work order all 4 things were fixed within 2 hours. Best move-in experience I've ever had.

I would for everything except Fetch. It's pretty absurd that we can't ship stuff to our legal address and are required to sign up for Fetch and let all our friends family and employers know about the super weird Fetch address

The staff has been wonderful, polite and helpful. The common areas are very clean and - other than my appliance/glass issues and the dog park - the buliding feels generally well maintained. I haven't been able to attend a community event yet, but the few I've seen available have been very nice. I'm looking forward participating in the future and using some of the community perks available around the city.

Very helpful staff and actually finished apartments- none of this exposed brick/piping gimmick passing off cost-saving measures as "hip."

The Mondial is in a great area and my fav part is the outside balcony and views of the city. I can't give a 10 because inside the unit, it is a bit dated. Not to mention many of my appliances are going on roughly 15 year old. Over this past year, I have had to have my microwave, ice maker, dish garbage disposal, toilet handles, and most recently my stove/oven range all replaced. They were all replaced with refurbished parts. So there is just going to be the likelihood of having many of these replaced on an ongoing basis. It would be nice if some of these could eventually be replaced with "new" units/parts.

Staff, living space and general amenities are great! This is personal preference but sometimes the manufacturing/distribution company next door gets a little loud but understand that is out of Mondial's control, just more of a location thing.

Best rental ever. Family friendly, dog friendly and it really strived to make it feel like an actual community. I have recommended it twice now to people looking to move, I will continue to do so.

Clean and friendly environment. Everyone from the door staff to leasing was kind, welcoming, and helpful.

This is the best place to live in Chicago. It is a beautiful and well maintained property with an incredible team.

My biggest issue was not with the property at all but the CTA blue line stop, Chicago, not having an elevator or escalator on the premises. I travel weekly with heavy luggage and can't walk up and down stairs on a weekly basis. The city of Chicago should not let this happen. This ideally could sway me away from living in that area, which is really unfortunate for me and your business. I was impressed with the staff and enjoyed my tour.

I would first for the neighborhood and location. It is still a quite area but just a block over from Chicago and like a 5-10 mins ride to most places in the city. Second would be how nice the building and amenities are. Last but definitely not least would be the staff. This is the first building I've lived in where everyone that works at or for the building is truly amazing.

Layla was very nice and extremely patient with me during the visit. She did not mind answering my questions or staying late to ensure I was comfortable with the tour. The apartment has amazing balcony sizing and overall the unit meets my living needs.

Mondial is a fantastic place to live. The entire Mondial team is extremely professional and friendly. The building is very well maintained and safe. Thank you to Nathan, Pete, Layla, Kristyn, Kelley, Brandon and Yamila for always going above and beyond.

The turnover at the security desk has led to inconsistency in operations (ex, sometimes I?m notified that a delivery driver or guest is coming up, sometimes not) and the temperature in the apartment can?t be controlled by the renter.

I have lived here for almost seven years and I have rarely had any problems with my apartment, other tenants, personnel, or anything for that matter. I rave about how nice it is to live here.

The rent is competitive with the neighborhood market and the amenities really stand out - the rooftop access, the gym, the services that Mondial partners with (The Minte, etc).

The location is convenient and front door staff was very good.However the building needed more regular cleaning and maintenance of the public areas. The garage door needed replacement/a permanent fix. Tenant noise/behavior was a concern at times. We despised coming home from work to various companies selling their products in the lobby- this should be eliminated, as should the too frequent emails from the management company. This place never felt "luxurious" nor like home.

Great units. Built originally to be condos. Due to market crash, was bought out and converted into apartments. Rental is reasonable considering the high quality of the unit. Great location, can get anywhere from loop, to river north to the north side/Wicker park in a matter of minutes.
