Property Ratings at Montane
Moved in June of 2022. Online, the floor plans show a balcony for some units that DO NOT have a balcony. Our unit and the unit of some friends of ours was the same. Our unit was in great shape when we moved in and was great outside of a leaky vent in the bathroom. The management was helpful at times and unavailable at others. When we moved out, we DEEP CLEANED the apt and spackled and painted the walls. We were still CHARGED $240 of the $250 security deposit and were NOT given a straight answer as to why. I called multiple times and was ultimately IGNORED while trying to ask about a $110 "Housekeeping" fee that was not backed up by ANY evidence. Disappointed by the lack of clarity by the management. It seems that they charged us the "standard move out" fee and didn't actually take into consideration the state of our apt. The weight room is incredibly furnished, but quite busy. If you want to work out in a more private setting, this is not the place for you. The Montane has an issue with security in their amenities as well. The pool has LARGE parties often on weekends that tend to be loud and take up most of the area. I know teenagers in the area who have told me that they come to the apartments to use the pool and lazy river all the time by reaching over the fence to unlatch the door. The weight room has been periodically plagued by this issue of use by random groups of teenagers as well. Rent is expensive, as this is a luxury. Included in the rent were MANY fees, more than normal, and you get the feeling of being overwhelmed by extra fees. Overall, our unit itself was nice and we enjoyed living in our space, but the management was frustrating, the pool never ceased to hold random groups of people/parties, and moving out was incredibly stressful.

Hello Ethan, We appreciate the time you took to leave us feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced at our location. We appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us at (303) 805-4188 or montane@avenue5apt.com for more assistance.
The leasing office staff is rude and overly defensive. They will 9/10 find a reason not to work with you or help you with any issue. That includes your car getting broken into, mice eating their way through the walls even when you’re allergic to most rodents they don’t care at all, parking is non existent AND they never clear hazards on the property. Example 4 inches of ice or random huge holes. I’ve had to go to the ER twice, once for having an allergic reaction the the mice or for my fractured wrist from slipping on the ice. Yes they have been informed and No they do not care they will bring up your lease and a false narrative of what actually happened in their opinion. Terrible people.

Thank you for your recent feedback. We value our residents and take pride in providing a great place to live. Please contact us at (303) 805-4188 or montane@avenue5apt.com. We look forward to speaking to you soon!
Biggest thing is bugs. We moved in mid-March and started seeing bugs in the early summer. We had pest control out 4 times and we need them to come out again in mid-December (and we’ve sprayed the apartment on our own in between). They won’t do anything to fix the issue other than using the same company to spray the apartment (which clearly isn’t working). The worst part is that I was told (essentially) that it’s a bummer that bugs are coming through but it’s because construction next to the complex, but I think the construction is the complex building more units (driving bugs into existing units) when they can’t maintain current units! The staff doesn’t care or is outright rude. They absolutely refuse to answer the phone most of the day. The only person who’s even okay in the office is Mary, but everyone else in the front office is awful. The staff emails constantly about the same events repeatedly, and it seems like the staff has a reason they need to come into the apartment every few weeks. Common utilities are very high (I paid about $50 in shared utilities in Highlands Ranch, and it’s usually around $100-$150 per month here). There is dog crap all over the complex. Even if the prices don’t increase at the end of my lease, I wouldn’t renew my lease

Hello User, We want to thank you for taking the time to give feedback about your recent experience. We are very disappointed that we've failed to deliver the experience you expect. You can reach us anytime at pm.montane@avenue5apt.com or 1 303-805-4188. Respectfully, Montane
Parking is absolute garbage. If you have reason to arrive back at the complex, EVER, after 9pm and before 6am, DO NOT LIVE AT BROADSTONE MONTANE. For that matter, IF YOU OWN A CAR AVOID BROADSTONE MONTANE. I have lived here since April 1, 2021, and in that time have had to park far from my unit 17 times (and it's only June 10, 2021 -- two months and a handful of days) Also, be careful before signing the lease. They don't tell you on the website you'll have to pay a monthly parking fee to one company and pay another company for their overpriced package deposit. (Seriously, why am I paying for parking when I can't get a spot?) You WILL be nickle-and-dimed here. Just expect it. That said, everything else is nice, even awesome. The parking just makes it unlivable. Whoever designed this place was absolutely incompetent when it came to parking capacity planning.

Anonymous, thank you for leaving this detailed feedback about your experience as a resident of Montae. Please contact the office so we can discuss further.
Barely moved in and the first night I had my work van on property it was towed at 1 am with absolutely no warning because I forgot to register with the parking company along with my personal vehicle which each cost a ridiculous $229 fee to get out on top of the fact that the towing company tows vehicles at 1 am but wont let you retrieve them until 8am., and I start work at 7am try explaining that to your boss. A courtesy warning for new tenants would be nice instead of jerking their cars from their spots the first night. Then yesterday with no warning they start testing the fire system in the morning, but then later in the day hand out papers saying they are testing the system. Along with the water randomly turning brown, there is no hot water at our sinks in the bathroom, the shower pressure is terrible if you want it hot. The upstairs neighbors have no regard for people below them as they stomp around basically 24/7 like a herd of elephants in a stampede. The refrigerator stunk to high heavens when we moved in and the lady we dealt with on our move in day was extremely rude. The other lady Lindsey was very nice amd extremely helpful probably the only bright spot of the whole ordeal. The apartment is nice and roomy but with all this other crap I'm glad we are only going to be at this place for a few months. So make sure you register your car here first thing since apparently they dont care about residents enough to give them at least one warning before towing, and Wyatts towing is absolutely garbage showed up at at their door at 8am and they took their sweet time getting us our cars back.
