Property Ratings at Montara Apartments
The mess the previous management made was so chaotic. No one knew what was going on. This team of ESPEE and Marlesa are great. Friendly and helpful.
Property Manager at Montara Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are so glad that you are enjoying your home here at Montara Apartments. It is our goal that living here is an Awesome experience for you and your family. Remember we are always here to serve you.
My experience at Montara Apartments have been very good. The staff is professional always friendly and helpful. Work orders are done right away. I have lived here for 3 years.
I've lived at Montara Apartments since the new management has taken over. They are awesome!! All work orders have been done right away. I've read some of the reviews and I feel sorry for them because my experience here has been excellent. Management staff is so friendly and they are always ready to go the extra mile. The apartments are absolutely beautiful.
I have lived here for a year and over all the apartments are very quiet no problems from any tenants. The only issue i have have is with the management, like the other reviews I have read they are very rude and unprofessional. I have asked several times for times to be fixes since maybe a week after i moved in and I get is we will fix it. I am moving out in the next month and things still have not been fixed. They assigned you parking stalls which are not even in the area your apartments is located at. And when one does open up, you asked to be assigned to that one and they tell you no because it is for the new tenant. They definitely need new management in the office ones that are not so rude
I lived there almost 4 years. The ladies that were in the office when I moved in were really nice and helpful with anything needed. There was a man named Art for maintenance along with a guy that is still there. Art did all the work promptly. The new management and the guy for maintenance that is still there are horrible. Both ladies Julietta and Janice are rude. Kids aren't allowed to play outside when they do she complains and give notices to move out. The office is always out on breaks maybe cause Julietta and the maintenance man are busy kissing when her husband isn't around. Never meant management that was so rude!!!!! I moved out 2 months ago and they were even rude when I had to get everything done
I have lived here for five years, and the only positive experience I have had with the front office was with the property manager with whom I signed my lease. Unfortunately, she resigned about a year after I signed my contract. I didn't have any issues with the first property manager, and then they hired Jullietta. She is extremely rude, unprofessional, and lacks basic people skills. She has been rude to my guests and me. The main problem is her tone and her attitude. Anytime you need her to complete a task within her job description she makes you feel as if you have inconvenienced her time to chat. Culturally, I am not sure if she grasps the concept that you must respect tenants and the fact that you can not talk to people any way you feel. Last year I had to contact the property owner regarding Jullietta. He dismissed it as a "language barrier". Then we welcome Janice... I had an encounter in the office with her where she very rudely asked me to shut the door to the office. I entered and closed the door behind me, as she stared at me as if I interrupted her day by asking whether or not the maintenance men would be completing the work they started the previous day. (They were supposed to finish the job around 9 am and visited the office around 230 because I had not heard from anyone). As I was speaking, Janice was tisking and sneering, ?and it took every ounce of my willpower not to treat her as she deserved. When I exited the office, I could see her as she began to talk about me to another staff member. I will be contacting the property manager again, as well as the better business bureau.
I had been trying to rent a unit in this complex for over a year and finally gave up. I know others that live here in multiple units and they are all very nice and well-kept. Those that I know have never had any notable problems, other than dealing with the attitude in leasing office. The woman that is there is very rude and acts as if she cannot be bothered by your questions. Every time I went in and asked for assistance with general questions about lease lengths, amenities, policies, or any other general property/leasing information, she refused to speak with me and would not even make eye contact. All she did each time was cut me off and say, "Oh, we have a unit opening up in a few days you can take this and bring it back," then she'd shove a blank application in my face and shoo me out the door. I've tried going on multiple days, at various times of the day so as to not catch her during a busy period or right before/after lunch, and no matter what the rudeness never goes away. Terrible customer service.
