Nestled near the mountains of the Sierra Nevada range, the outer West Reno neighborhoods lie about 10 minutes away from downtown Reno, offering incredible nature views as well as big city access. Families love the newer houses in Northwest Reno and the ample recreational opportunities available to them. Just a short drive from California and resorts such as Northstar, Outer West Reno allows locals to enjoy the slopes in the winter and hike at Keystone Canyon in the summer.
Parks, schools and shopping areas serve to make outer West Reno an ideal place to live for those looking to live near downtown but close to nature as well. Many residents who cherish the Nevada landscape and easy access to casinos, restaurants and bars make West Reno their new home.

Property Ratings at Montebello at Summit Ridge
Management spends their time harassing tenants over silly rules that no one follows. Valet trash is a joke. Parking is non existent unless you park by the mailbox/units with attached garages. Overpriced with minimal effort on repairing previous tenants damage. Old dirty stained carpet.

You're welcome to stop by the leasing office during business hours or email us directly at Montebello.cd@fpimgt.com. Thank you again and have a nice day. Your Montebello Management Team
I want to start by saying I was the Montebello's biggest fan for my first year and a half as a resident. The apartments themselves are great and I've never had any issues with maintenance or staff before today. I walked outside this morning to make a Costco run and my car was missing. My immediate thought was that I may have left it unlocked and it was stolen -- my heart sank. I called the front office where I was told that they had not authorized any tows in the past week. I was given the number to their tow partner and told I could check with them, but the Montebello did NOT request a tow. Upon calling the tow company I was informed that my car was marked BY MONTEBELLO (where my car is registered to my apartment) on Monday for 48 hour tow. It has been snowing all week and I work remotely, so I had not driven my car since we went out over the weekend. Confused and annoyed (but relieved it wasn't stolen), I called back the building with the rational expectation that they would remedy their error -- this is where it gets fun. Montebello began by telling me that they have a policy where a car has to be moved every 1-2 weeks just so that other residents have fair access to the "up for grab" spots -- never heard of it before, but fine, my car was just gone all night five days ago. Problem solved right? Negative. They told me that their parking lot staff "must have thought my car hadn't moved in a while" and that made it my fault. I was responsible for Uberring to the other side of the city and paying to get my car out of impound. Whether the manager of the complex is unable to solve this issue or refused to, this ordeal raised MAJOR red flags as a resident. The towing company was somehow more understanding than my complex and at least gave me a discount. Insane that I pay my rent every month and park my registered vehicle in an available spot (only one assigned spot per apartment and my roommate uses it) and I am towed and somehow on the hook for it "because I had 48 hour notice posted on my car". Make sure you don't take a weekend trip if you want to live here or they'll be entitled to tow your car and make you pay for it!
I have been at Montebello for a couple of years now and this is the BEST apartment complex in Reno. The leasing office girls are very efficient and always are responsive with answering calls and emails. Maintenance team is AMAZING, they always take care of the apartment needs in a timely manner.

The administration of the complex and units is exceptional. I've lived here for a little more than a year and I haven't had any issues or concerns. The complex is in every case all around kept up even with dog proprietors who slack off getting after there pets. Any issue that I've had in my unit includes been amended inside 48 hours. Sink waste allocator to seals on my entryway. All staff from the primary office to the upkeep group have been inviting and moral and have gone above to guarantee my stay here is comfortable.

I used to live at Montebello for a bit and I really enjoyed my time there. I moved to a complex in South Reno and completely regret it. Montebello is in a nice location and the area is pretty quiet no trouble there at all. I miss their spacious apartments and their huge bathtub in the master was amazing.

Best apartments I’ve ever lived in. The front office is amazing & the maintenance guys go above and beyond to help however they can. The community is quiet & the neighbors are nice. They also have a nice walking trail that leads you to the mountains.....how awesome is that!!

Best property in town hands down! During my boyfriend’s and mines apartment search we looked around the Reno/sparks area but we didn't love any properties. We moved into our apartment almost one year ago and we LOVE everything about this complex! The girls in the office are nice and professional. As soon as we walked into the leasing office we knew we found home. All our service requests are always attended to right away! Highly recommend! 10/10

Love living here!!! The views are AMAZING. I LOVE the fitness center it’s so big it’s like an actual gym unlike others where its just a tiny room and their walking trail is nice that leads to the mountains 10/10!!
The people in the office are always very responsive; I have spoken with Jenilee and Karla and they always get back to me very fast. I love my apartment its very spacious and the patio is huge we each get our own. Although I do feel like they should look into getting a new mailroom door because its always jammed to where you have to put your finger in the lock to actually open it, its a hassle for me and I bet its very hard for the elderly too, otherwise that no other complaints love this place ??
Montebello Apartments has been very good to me and I have been living here for over a year now. The Valet Living trash service they have is so convenient I love it and they also pick up recycling! The girls in the office are always so nice and go above and beyond to help with whatever the problem is! This place exceeded my expectations on hospitality unlike other apartment complex’s.....
Montebello has been great, moved in earlier this year and have had no problems. Staff at the office Adriana and Karla are great, always friendly. The uncovered parking is good too since there are a lot of them all over property!
Living here is great, have had no problems whatsoever. The ladies in the leasing office are professional and helpful! Their maintenance team is quick on doing work orders! Gets done within that day most times!! This property is surrounded by the beautiful nature of trees and so many grassy areas I love it!!
I just moved in and I have been loving it so far! The girls in the office are super nice & always helpful. They have a very responsive maintenance team that gets the job done. The apartment is very spacious and its definitely worth the price, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice luxury apartment!!!!
I enjoyed my time as a tenant at Montebello. The leasing staff Karla and Arianna were always very sweet and helpful with my emails and calls. It was a pretty quiet neighborhood and they offered a lot of open parking (compared to all other apartments here in the Reno/Sparks area)

We are saddened to have lost you as our neighbor but we also wish you the very best in your future endeavor! Respectfully, Montebello Management Team
I used to be a resident at Montebello and I enjoyed my time there! Sad to have moved out due to my work transferring me across the country but I LOVED living there because the trash service was awesome they picked up your trash everyday except for holidays (of course) and there was no extra charge for that (only to waste management as part of your trash bill which was not bad price at all) The office staff was very friendly with responding quickly to emails/call backs and the turnover rate was not huge as well which was a plus.
The montebello apartments are elite! Great amenities, full size 24 hour gym, the apartments themselves are absolutely astonishing. I’ve been skeptical about apartment hunting in the past but the staff was great and worked with me the whole way. I’m so happy with the new place I call home
Moved here in February, first we were so happy and thought it was a great place. Over time I'm realizing its all visual. We also have an ant infestation, tried to deal with it on our own but finally just put in a service request. Apartment was not as clean as I would have liked when we moved in. Air conditioning is weak. Kitchen floor is uneven so our kitchen cabinet we bought doesnt close correctly. The absolute worse part is the parking. We were told when we moved in there was plenty of parking. But they did fail to mention that it was on the complete opposite side of the complex from us. And if you get home after 8pm your lucky if you can find one within a quarter mile from my apartment. Opened a complaint this morning and got some lame response from a "Fernando" that our parking spot is ready. That was not my issue, I'm aware we have one dedicated spot but 90% of the people here have 2 to 3 cars in each apartment. Where do they suppose people are supposed to put all these cars!?! Oh and the security gate is a joke!
I've lived here for a year and signed on a new lease for another. The leasing staff has been friendly, and very helpful. The full sized gym is probably one of the best amenities Montebello At Summit Ridge has.
Like many of the other people posting reviews on this property, I would give them zero stars if possible and I've only had my keys for this apartment for less than 24 hours. First, upon moving in we discovered that there are ants all over our unit including the carpeted area in the master bedroom and the kitchen. The ants ended up on and in our bed the first night we moved in. The ants on the carpet are hard to see because they blend in so well but THEY ARE EVERYWHERE... Secondly, we put our bedding in the dryer to get rid of the ants only to pull out the duvet which had been ruined from pen marks and some yellow substance left in the dryer from the previous tenant. Third, this morning we discovered that our car was towed from the parking space that 2 of the leasing managers confirmed was ours, only to find out that we should have been parked in a different space. We have been dealing with two of the "Leasing Managers" that have no decision rights about moving units or other issues. Additionally the incompetent property manager would not call us back to hear about or resolve our issues because she didn't want to be bothered on her day off. We chose to ignore the reviews that we had read online. Learn from our mistakes and take these reviews seriously.

Gave us the wrong car port # twice and car was towed then had to uber over to get it. Ant infestation and was told this isn’t an emergency so their manager will not call back. Dryer ruined by last tenant, floors dirty and again ANTS everywhere. Katrina texted her manager way to convey our immediacy and issue here and Sadie literally told me “I had ants too and they’re gone from your apartment”. Attach photos as proof of ants on all other apartment rating sites for you to see before ever committing to this horrible company that falsely claims FPI manages them their manager told us they have never heard of Montebello and they aren’t on their list of companies they work with. Do yourself a favor and never ever consider this place. Thank you for making our lives a wreck for the past 24 hours.

Ive lived here for 3 years and I love the mountain views from my patio. The Gym is fantastic, all state of the art equipment. The apartment are all very cozy with the hardwood floors and the granite counters. I forget sometimes that I live in an apartment, because it is so quite. I would not live anywhere else but here..Also love being able to pull into my garage and walk right into my apartment.

Montebello Apartment has so many hidden fees that we are paying less at our 4 bedroom in Sommerset than there. Also, your security deposit is more of a required move out fee because they give little to none of it back. Besides spending an arm and a leg, the staff is stuck up and unhelpful. I would never recommend this place to anyone and hope nobody will fall into this money trap.
I've lived at my place for about 6 months, very much a luxury apartment complex with luxury amenities but for non luxury prices. The gym is huge and has proven to be the best housing choice I could have made as a recent grad in the area trying to have a big place on a small budget.
Beautiful one bedroom apartment. New appliances. Tons of space for one person! Huge walk in closet. Full size washer/dryer. Management is friendly and competent.
Spacious apartments with beautiful (and energy efficient!) appliances, granite counter tops, and gorgeous hardwood/carpet floors. The staff worked closely with us when our living situation fell through and we needed to lease an apartment that day, moving the process along as quickly as possible. The gym is well equipped and kept clean, as are the pool and sauna. The door-to-door trash services is convenient and cheap. Shopping, restaurants, and groceries are a quick drive away. These apartments are far enough away from downtown to stay quiet, but still just a 10 minute drive from downtown. I love these apartments and look forward to spending my next few years here!
Checked out lots of Reno apartment complexes and found Montenello to suit me best Location is ideal, up on high side north west exit ten of I 80 yet close enough to downtown and shopping but none of the congestion Management is on top of things and the complex is in great shape Features are a well maintained pool and constantly cleaned hot tub as well as a great gym with basketball and racquetball courts The club house offer a computer lab, pool table and seating for groups to play bridge as well as a separate tv lounge View from our place is awesome too
I've lived in quite a few apartment complexes in Reno throughout my life, but Montebello as so far been the best experience I've had as a renter. As far as the inside of the apartment goes, every room is incredibly spacious, you conveniently have your own washer and dryer, and each bedroom has its own walk-in closet. The layout is also really unique - not just little boxes like most apartments. The outside design of the buildings makes it feel like I'm truly coming home every time I drive in, and the pool and rec room are loads of fun. Pool Table and fireplace? Yes please. My only gripe would be with the management (my reason for not giving a five star rating). I've had a few issues with packages being delivered and management not being able to find them in their storage room. They also aren't very good at getting back to me when I call them with any issues I might be having with my apartment. But they've seemed to be making improvements recently. They're also very welcoming of pets! The rates are a bit pricier than most apartments in Reno, but you get what you pay for. It's in a quiet area, has great views of the city, and it feels like living in luxury.
Do you like amenities? Well this place has got them. Huge gym with indoor basketball and racquetball courts. Amazing trails around the community. I was lucky enough to get an apartment in the back so I have a great view of the sunset every night. The apartment itself is pretty nice and super spacious, but I wish we would have gone upgraded, the basic is kinda regular. Tons of maintenance people all over fixing and cleaning everything to keep this place running smooth. Nice neighborhood and close enough to everything without any of the inner city problems. It's not perfect and it's a little pricey, but you'll probably fall in love with it the way I did and move in.
